the gas prices in germany are so high because they are heavily taxed. But still it is not nearly high enough to actually cover up the environmental damage it causes

I am usually annoyed when I see cobblestone because of my bike. It looks nice though. Here in Berlin even some forests have cobblestones paths between their swamps. This year I want to do metal detecting. The castle you always filmed would be perfect to find some old medieval coins.

i think do not do this: shipping a US Car to gemany. there are some Taxes and full inspection like Manufactury inspection. (Vollabnahme) also here is a historical licence plate foe 30 year old cars. and u have to change all Lightscover and lamps. and it is most likly the Brakes too. because of smaller roads and citys. and here are gas and diesel more expensive. this is why we have smaller engines here. Also our country is smaller. for sure u find here US cars but there are expensive

They're called Bellona now. And they're lovely. No difference to me at all. I'm sure if you eat them side by side you'll notice something. I think Belona has a better looking drizzle but the Kinder looks more smoothe the way it was crafted. Its about taste anyway. Don't care about looks.

We don't (usually) make fun of people with wrong pronunciation at all! If someone can't speak German well we first assume that he speaks more languages than we do (we normally speak only 2-3 languages, very rarely e.g. Arabic or African languages). We are all happy to help anyone who is not so good yet! The bigger problem for native English speakers is that every German tries to simplify everything and ignores the attempts to speak German. Just tell your conversation partners that you don't want to speak English to learn German!

Instead of breadcrumbs you can also use unsugared Cornflakes or panko ( it's japaese Version of breadcrumbs) makes it even more crispy,next time use butter instead of oil and turn down the heat a bit so it doesn't burn ,but you did a good Job for the first time 👍👍👍 greetings from Fulda, Germany

Hi Lora, came along this vid today and your 5 things are interessting. As a german native who has travelled a lot overseas in the past just one hint from my side: Yes, speak german as much as you can and dont worry about what others may think. Speak as we say "frei von der Leber weg". People who want understand they will and others are not worth to communicate with. The best and fastest way to learn german and right pronounciation is watching german TV or listening to audiobooks(kid stories) reading german papers, I mean the normal daily local newspaper. Go into a travell agency and pick up some prospects. Germany will value your effort and that will open doors(I am sure whats meant) I already follow 2 other american families such as "our story to tell" with Tanner, Risa, Willa and a still growing baby in her tommy and the "Black Forrest family". They have gone through similar and different adventures and love to travel in Germany and Europe as well. Have a look to their videos and I am sure they will have usefull informations. Anyway, there tons to find. Enjoy your stay, stay safe and healthy. Btw, not everything is going well and for good in my home country but camparing with others I know to live a good life here. An alternate expression for Schminke or Makeup (yes, we use that in German, too!) is actually "Kriegsbemalung" (lit. war paint) as most ladies put it on while going onto manhunt ("auf Männerjagd gehen". Another reason would be if they appear for the final divorce apointment in family court (Familiengericht) when they wanna show off to their now ex-husband, the court and the public.
