Great reaction! 😊 Just wanted to add to the dialogue that there are a group of people who genuinely believe and accuse her of being a witch, so she's referenced this a few times (in Reputation's "I Did Something Bad" she says, "They're burning all the witches even if you aren't one/They have their pitchforks and proof/Their receipts and reasons/So light me up). So when she says she's leaping from the gallows, she's referencing the Salem Witch Trials, and her "house with all the cobwebs" like a witch/haunted house. So there's a double meaning. Both figuratively (being the "bad guy") and literally. These people can't believe that a talented and hard-working self-made woman can have this much success, so there must be witchcraft involved.

I never hear anyone say this, so it might just be a quirk in my brain, but I find the "record scratch" to be an interesting choice of words. The obvious reference is the sound of a literal record scratch - as you pointed out - but I suspect a double meaning. She has been breaking records in the music industry and, thus, "crashing parties" - it's hard to avoid seeing news about Taylor. Even people who don't want to hear anything about her can't avoid the news. "Scratch" as in "scratch out" something on a piece of paper - say, a music industry record that has now been broken. I don't know if Taylor intended all of that but, to me, it all seems to fit. She keeps "crashing our parties" due to all of her scratching-out of old music industry records.

She's also a director: I think there was some "possession" movie (Carie? some Stephen King thing?) with a girl levitating, and also the live performance of I Did Something Bad ('they're burning all the witches' part when they lift her up, lightning, etc). I think the the verse about "stepping on her lawn" and suing her is about the time this DJ put his hand up the back of her skirt (her lawn) during a photo op and she complained to his management and he was fired. He sued her for "ruining his career" and she sued back for $1:00 and won her case.

I can imagine she sometimes feels like a trained circus animal due to her rigorous touring schedule and career in general hence the reference to the cage and taking out all of her teeth.

My 9yo daughter is a swifty, which in turn makes me a swifty. New album(s) are pretty good. She fought the machine and won and is now bigger than ever. Good for her, it's not often it happens.

I think when she says "that they took out all her teeth" is because old circuses used to pull the teeth of lions and tigers so they weren't as dangerous. Also when she says "that I'll sue you if you step on my lawn" is the ownership of her name and her songs.

“Drunk on my own tears” I fell like this refers to the accusations of her only writing break up songs. Lots of people have a reductive view of her work and like to be very loud about it. I feel like the next stanzas refer to different public accusations that go round in circles, she’s quick to sue, she’s a satanist, she’s manipulative, calculating etc. There’s a very famous Taylor track Blank Space on 1989 where she leant in to all the rumours and accusations about her being a serial dater, I feel like this is the updated version with extra vitriol. She’s taking the narrative and writing from that perspective. Only just thoughts, don’t have any definitive truths here
