Thanks for this. Agreed, he blew this out of the water! The double-bassing really makes this song kick! IMHO, making a metal version of a pop song can make it more interesting and breathes new life into it. It transforms it into something awesome.

Better than the original imho. I liked Bon Jovi 35-40yrs ago, but kind of grew out of them (& others from that time period) when I discovered "alternative" & then grunge. On the topic of singers that heartbreakingly can't sing anymore... Linda Rondstadt is the one that makes me sad! She was sooooo good! Love & thanks to you both!â€â€

I'm a huge Bon Jovi fan, but this was always one of my least favourite songs, they have so many better songs. Tommy's version however, sounds updated and fresh. About vocals, Richie was technically always a better singer than Jon imo, but Jon had (and still has) that star power, x factor as some might say. I suggest listening to Richie's song not many people know, Father Time, some crazy heights in that song. I really wish Tommy covers that song too some day, it would be perfect for him
I love Jon's lyricism. One of the songs that my wife and I played at our wedding was Bed Of Roses. What a beautiful song! They have a ton of bangers, really! I can't say I've ever heard any of Richie's music honestly. I'll have to check it out. Maybe you should send a link to Tommy to get him to cover a song. Hey, ya never know!
