So a serious question for you guys. I'm an old man 70+ and we do not off road at all. But we live in farming/small town USA near the famous Shiner Bock brewery. So, in the spirit of community, helping my neighbors; am considering a front bumper w/winch, OR rear hitch with a "D" ring. In 10+ years have encountered people lose control and needing help getting pulled out, but we had to pass them on. I do have a 2018 F250 FX4, I use for hauling equipment during shredding season. So here I present two options for a winch. Either the 4rnr or the F250. Yes, I know it depends on circumstances and the odds of encountering situations where a winch is needed. I have even gone back and get my tractor to pull people out of a ditch. As you can see, the winch question is being asked by one not a over lander, off-road guy nor a apocalypse prepper. So opinions will be wild and varied, I'm ready for that and appreciate the insights from a variety of people. Thanks again folks!!!

Why do you drain out the newly added fluid when it reaches the appropriate temperature range? Is it from the fluid expanding from heating up?

I just got the Ecoflow Delta 2 with 2 rigid solar panels of 100W each. I'm planning to use the Ecoflow alternator charger along with the solar panels to keep my delta2 charged and ready to go when camping or on road trips. The ecoflow Dc to Dc charger goes up to 800w when charging the delta2.

You should mention they don't work if ur 4runner has led fog lights from the factory

Glad you said front rotors warp quite easily. My 2012 forerunner has 76,000 miles on it. I’ve replaced the rotors four times the first time I read somewhere on the Internet that I should use cross drilled heavy duty tundra rotors. They were beautiful for a while and then they warped.when I went to the forerunner forum, people told me I was crazy that I must be riding the break all sorts of comments like that. I also found other articles of other people complaining about the same problem with forerunner front rotors.

That nose dive on the wet brake test is a bit much. Some heavier springs and a heavier slow compression rate would make things safer. The AT4Ws have big shoes to fill, but it looks like they are doing it, great info thx!

I feel better now. Past few years I went back to my 2003 Tacoma with 360k and owned for all of it. I know every sound and bump… I just bought a 2023 4Runner with 18k and lots of new sounds to learn.

I was told that the proper way to clean the throttle body on my 13 4runner was to remove the throttle body and clean beyond it. Is that necessary?

It’s worth to say.. the clips (white) will break if the rocker is removed the way you describe. Before pulling it off get under and squeeze the white clips so they release otherwise you’ll be ordering new ones. Not sure what the dealer charges for these but there is 16 of these for the front and left side.. Amazon seems to carry them but will only know in a couple of days if the quality is good or not.

So weird. I just built cabinet for my suv and came across your video. It is scary how similar they look. Mine is very heavy with one large drawer on one side and two smaller drawers on other side. Used similar handles and also have the silver aluminum piece. My total cost was $500. I covered mine with rubber mat and have led light bars over drawers.

With all of that added weight you must get 12 mpg .

Just added mine today. Really liking them. Thanks for finding these. I am noticing a good bit of rubbing in the back. Planning to put some felt along the area. I couldn’t seem to adjust enough to stop the contact. Were you also seeing the rubbing? I’ve also got a limited with the third row seating. What did you end up doing with the seats you removed? Great video, thank you! Subscribed. I just did serp belt, pulleys, water pump and spark plugs on my daughters 2012 volvo with the T6 motor. 138,000 miles. The plugs were worn down to nothing, I can't believe the car was running so well. I couldn't believe the plugs had never been changed.......then I looked over at my wifes 4runner that we bought new in 2015 and has 125,000 on it and thought......shit! I think the 4runner will be getting the same treatment this weekend.

Early 5th Gen, such as my 2010, don't have the secondary air injection systems to get in the way, making this job much easier and faster than shown. I also did not need to remove any air intake parts to access the passenger side plugs. For the entire job, I only had to remove 2 double hose guide brackets held on by plastic clips and 1 other metal bracket on the driver's side to get to the plug farthest in the rear (2 12 mm bolts). All the online videos appear to show later model 5th gen 4Runners which look way more complicated to get to all the plugs.
