  • In this video I will take you through the process of adding top plate spacer(s) to gain a half inch lift. This can help to level, correct drivers side lean, or just gain more lift on your 5th Gen 4Runner.
    What I used:
    1/2" Lift (x2 spacers) - amzn.to/4aC4NzW
    Drivers Side Lean (x1 spacer) - amzn.to/3W4bPsx

    Great video as always! Got my 16 4runner Sr5 2WD.. can I use this to lift my front? Thank you so much

    I needed this. I installed a king set up with 3inch lift. I have a little rake in the front. Im currently measuring 22.1/2 in the front...and 23 3/4 in the rear. Hopefully this levels it

      It worked for me. Getting the shock in and out can be a pain in the butt, I’d recommend having someone help you to push down on the lower control arm with their foot while you pull up on the spindle. Hope it goes well

    Great video. I am going to put the 1" cornfeds in there, do I need to add a 1/4 to level it on the drivers side as well?

    Great video! Appreciate your content. If someone has adjustable coilovers, can we just adjust the driver's side front and back that way instead of the spacer?

    • @T4Rgarage
      @T4Rgarage  Před rokem +2

      Thank you! If you have adjustable coilovers you would usually only need to adjust the front drivers side to correct the lean. Park on a flat surface, measure each side, and adjust from there

    Love the look with the front higher, one thing to consider is getting the back high enough to get back a little bit of rake, so when you load up the back it's not squatting. Anything to avoid ANY squat look LoL !!!

      @T4Rgarage  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yes! I like a bit of rake and absolutely hate the squat look. Serves no purpose

      @@T4Rgarage Right exactly.. I did the front 5100 and it was perfect level, but at times looks like it's a slight lower in the rear, depending on where I'm parked and what angle you look from.. Just ordered 1" cornfed rear spacers, with lean correction. they are going on next weekend LoL -5th gen army green, ORP.

      @@g.fortin3228 nice! I eventually ended up going with HD coils in the back. When we went out this summer fully loaded with the drawer box, armor, rtt, the back was sitting pretty low. Working on a dual swing out steel bumper at the moment as well. It rides pretty rough but I think it will be perfect once the bumper is on and loaded up for adventures

    Thanks for showing this ,i just purchased a 2023 sr5 premium and it has the left lean ,do i just put the spacer on the left front nothing on the left rear

    • @T4Rgarage
      @T4Rgarage  Před 7 měsíci

      I would get it on flat ground and measure each side and compare to see if it’s the front or back that has the lean. You can correct the lean by putting a spacer in the back, the rear would be the easiest and you can get a 1/2” spacer to correct it

    That's a great video. Thanks. After adding a low profile winch mount and winch, the rake is a bit more pronounced. I think I'm going to, at some point, just replace my shocks and coils with new adjustable shocks and coils. I had those on my OLD Jeep Wagoneer.

    How is the ride quality? Been driving with my og 5th gen lifted 2.5 ome with 265/70r17 17x8.5 -10mm rims, relaxing my car front end is slightly lower then the rear, I’m considering on doing this too.

    • @T4Rgarage
      @T4Rgarage  Před 9 měsíci

      Ride quality is unchanged. It’s a bit challenging to manoeuvre the sway bar, UCA, and cv. But with a bit a patience you’ll be good 👍🏼

    you are measuring it wrong from center, measure from the bottom of rim (not wheel)

    Seems like a lot of effort for a half inch of lift, especially when it looks like you already have an aftermarket upper control arm.

    the drivers side lean is on the rear though
