- In this video we install a set of Maiker molle panels on our 5th Gen 4Runner.
These panels cost a fraction of the competitors and they look and function great. These panels also include extra pouches and straps.
NOTE: If you have 3rd row seating, install at your own risk. Only install if you are not using the 3rd row.

My guy, time and time again you continue to produce some of the best instructional videos on CZcams. Great camera angles, great instruction, context for why you are doing things, research on the topic and you've cut out all the fluff to get right to the point. I've purchased about a half dozen of the products you've recommended and have been happy with each one. I've also used more than a few of the recommendations from the comment section as well. Thanks for doing this and I hope you continue far into the future.
Great timing for myself before spending over twice this cost if this video hadn't popped up. Glad I'm already a subscriber or I might have spent more money by mistake.
Thank you for posting this video. It answered numerous questions I had about the installation.
Very cool. Wish you'd done this a year ago. My Sheltie gave me MOLLIE panels for Christmas last year. I like yours, VERY much!
I have these too and so far so good 👍
Thanks for the video. I like good budget products for my 4runner.
Definitely, some stuff just doesn’t have to be expensive
Great install video 🤙🏽
Thanks man!!
Another great video!
Two video requests:
1) Coolant drain and fill
2) Check propeller shaft bolts torque (and tightening if needed)
Thanks
Thanks so much! I like those ideas 💡 Cheers!
I didn’t think I could do this, until I watched this video!! Ok.. I can.
Great budget panels, I still think I wouldn’t change my Cali Raised panels with shelves for these. I figured I’d spend once and never have to worry about it.
Just added mine today. Really liking them. Thanks for finding these. I am noticing a good bit of rubbing in the back. Planning to put some felt along the area. I couldn’t seem to adjust enough to stop the contact. Were you also seeing the rubbing?
I’ve also got a limited with the third row seating. What did you end up doing with the seats you removed? Thinking about removing mine as well. Did you do a video on that?
Thanks for sharing the work you’ve done. It is much appreciated!
Just installed these today. They still didn’t include those extra needed washers. Ended up using some I had laying around. Not bad for $150… cleaned up the back a lot with all the little items I had laying around.
Thank you for making wonderful and informative videos. I really enjoy watching them. A couple of questions please: after having the Molle panels, do you find them useful? I agree the make the truck look good, but do the pose danger in case of an accidents and hanging objects start to fly and hit car occupants? Thanks again
Thank you, my pleasure! Any loose items in the vehicle could go flying forward I guess, I feel like at least having them attached to something (like molle panels) should help. You have a valid concern though, I never thought about it. Might be good to just have bags attached to it and leave thinks like axes and shovels in a drawer box or tote
Great photography. Any rattles when you have gear mounted ?
@@nickb1690 Thank you. No rattling
Is that diy drawer system or premade? If premade who’s the manufacturer? I like that size!
DIY- I have a video on the channel where I made it step by step
Do these have the option to add the shelf that goes across the top?
Not that I’m aware of
Does this affect side airbag deployment?
I am not sure that’s why I made a note/disclaimer in the description about 3rd row usage
What size did you get? I see 2 options
The only difference is that the $150 includes bags where the $130 doesn’t. I know it looks like there are two different sizes but they are identical and have checked in with Maiker to confirm this
You should get rid of you 3rd row seatbelts... they look like they get in the way. Did you do a 3rd row delete or are your shelves sitting on top of them?
Good call! I plan on removing them next tike I take the drawer box out. I did do a 3rd row delete, freed up a lot of space
Which size is the correct one?
@@T4Rgaragethe link has the larger size at 129 while the smaller size is 150.
@@crimemalagg716 That is confusing. I will reach out to Maiker to see what they say. I went with the $150 option as did most people in the reviews. I think they are the same size and the 3.75" vs 4.6" is in reference to the depth, will confirm. Thanks for bringing that up
@@T4Rgaragethank you, I appreciate it a lot!
Maiker got back to me and the only difference is that the $150 option includes the pouches/first aid kit where as the $130 doesn't. Hope this helps! @@crimemalagg716
@@T4Rgaragethank you so much!
What tire carrier are you running?
Coastal Off-road low pro dual swing out
That's right, duh. I watched that video. My bad, carry on. 🙃 @@T4Rgarage
Ahhh too bad they can’t be bought independently. I only need one side 😢
It’s the season of giving, gift one side to a friend 😁🎄
Shovel?
You should always dig down 6-8” for a numero 2
@@T4Rgarage I was wondering what brand and if you sell them. Ive already purchased dr kdss kit from you guys and storage bag is in the cart. I love the shovel on your molle panel and looking for one just like that.
@@shortygavin ahhh gotcha, it’s a Rhino USA collapsible shovel
