Some of those alliances are pretty wild - Umbar are only convenient allies with Mordor because they got ambushed on their way to fight *in the army of Mordor?* Meanwhile Isengard can't ally with their neighbours Angmar or Mirkwood, but can be convenient allies with Khand or Far Harad because "hey, you never know!"

all of my top five got mentioned (sauron, vrasku, gorulf, kings champ) except one, so i'll go with him, dalamyr and the heap of secret agent bullshit you can do with him.

Just letting you know that you are totally wrong with Harad without the betrayer. I became 1-3 place on a couple of tournament with Harad, and never took the betrayer. Most of the time it's Suladan, Haradrim King on Horse with warspear and then Raza or Taskmaster for the Heros. Then a bunch of Abrahkan Guard and a couple of Watchers of Karna (against terror), with Warriors with Bow and Spear behind them. Also some Serpend Riders and Raiders with Bow (no warspear!) Is very good. You get just more models that way/the warrior models are better on their own. Also the betrayer is a shit magic caster. He can like only use 4-5 will for magic,rest for his poison ruel.Don't know why you always say that Harad has notable magic.

Umm.... ... the Khand chariots (warrior) have to choose between bow or Axe. So you can totally ally yellow a king with like 4 chariots and 3 horsemen.

I think low A is whwre easterlings belong. Although i suppose it depends what criteria youre rating the faction on. If it's only the most competitive, maximised list, then i can see why you've put it there, even then, I've personally never struggled agaisnt the Dragon Emperor

Only one i really disagree with is Khand. Think at 500pts and below it slaps. Should be a B with big boy Sauron who’s only good at high points

Hey, I was the Dale player 😂 and it was a hilarious game that ended in a draw. The scenario was assassination and we both broke each other. The most fun game I’ve had so far. 😂

So that Ruffians image was from my event, The Battle of Brittain last week over at Atomic Cards in Swindon, and for added context it was Assassination between bog standard Ruffians led by Lotho vs Defenders of Erebor. Ended up being a draw XD.

I think top of A would have been fine for easterlings, as a balance between the S tier legion and the army, which is rarely played outside the legion. Curious about Harad (yet to listen). They appear in a lot of top placings, but always with Mordor and always with suladan. I guess It's kinda hard to rate armies that appear great on paper, but make results only in specific context

Lets me honest the alliance matrix was made up by throwing darts at a dart board. Makes no sense at all for both sides.

Veto system for fun games so you can both have a go at winning. But for competitive games use random scenarios if you're a competitive player then you should be able to make a list that is fairly competitive in any scenario.

Blue Horses and Leopard print?! Just why? Looking at these Rivendell Knights makes me want to gauge my eyes out. The worst part about it is that the painter knows how to paint. . . For the love of god I hope it's a tactical decision, trying to get under the skin of your enemy. ^^

I thought leader wound VPs in contest were only scored if your own leader dealt the wound? But also, I had almost this exact situation today with Serpent Horde vs Halls of Thranduil. My dice went off and I broke my oppo when Thranduil was still 3 up on suladan. Luckily, suladan caught up and the final kill for quarter was suladan’s kill that took him above Thranduil.

Awesome game! dalamyr got robbed on that one 🤣 thats part of why folks dislike contest i reckon. almost every roll goes your way, you crush the enemy with minimal losses, wound their leader and then the other side is victorious because they won one early combat and now are too mauled to keep fighting. doesnt sound right does it 🤣you always want to do leader fights first in contest, so you know what you need the rest of your fighters to do, shield or kill. but its very easy to get fired up and forget to. but 12 dice and a 4 high! the dice luck levelled out in one roll🤣
