Gil-Galad Fight 9 is basically having strike up for free every single round of the game he is basically an infinite source of might.
You don't get might from it, you just don't have to spent it. But sometimes you still have to strike if the enemy is fight 6+ and strikes and has a good chance to kill you

@OGEETOMO unless they just transfix him with an cheap caster. Gil-Galad is bad because he's so susceptible to magic for a killy hero
Magic is definitely a huge problem for him sadly

As someone who plays Numenor, it's great to see our High King of Gondor and Arnor on top of the S tier!
He definitely deserves it!

Good tier list. The difference between A and S for me personally is "does the hero do anything else besides kill gud and get transfixed every single turn"? I personally would put Gil Galad bottom of A, behind the Emperor, behind Old Dain, also behind Imrahil most definitly (who gives my whole army a banner and +1Fight because I enjoy my men at arms while also killing dudes well). The same reason why Aragorn is not S-Tier. Elrond also is so much more versatile. Seing young dain up there with Elendil and Bolg also seems pretty hard. He is on a level with Elrond and the Emperor in my books. He is solid for sure. We just have a huge amount of magic locally so we cannot have nice things.
To be fair Dain also provides fearless even if he's transfixed so he's not completely out of the question. also adding Lindir (I know expensive) can help ol Gilly with his magic problem

I love Gil Galad, I play him a lot, but he isn’t S tier. Is he better than Glorfindel? Undoubtedly. Is he S tier? No… he’s way too susceptible to magic, and he only has 1 fate... I wish he deserved the honor of being in the S tier of S tiers… buuut he just doesn’t…
Couldn't agree more , I'd only put him in S tier if it's last alliance with him and eledile because that f9 free heroic if goy keep them paired up is turely horrifying

I think he still makes bottom of S. that argument can be applied to a lot of other Killy heros in the game. Bolg is also weak to magic with 1 Fate, but he’s still great for killing. GG is top tier against most heros with that fight 9 and lord of the west/blood and glory/+1 wounding. Bringing fight 6 troops is also huge with the current meta. I think you have to decide how important magic resistance is. If so, dain and bolg could also move down.
@@NoobsandMen personally I would take Elrond over Gil-Galad just for utility. I mean aside from killing things what does Gil-Galad bring to your army? He limits hero selection and is expensive with no support function
I totally agree with you especially in the current meta. A Nazgul just black darts his horse and his not that dangerous anymore and if that's not enough you can still transfix him. AoL, Lorien yellow soup can just transfix him as well. DE LL is the only top tier competitive list that will really struggle against GG imo.
One thing to note on bolg is that he has a magic weakness similar to gil galad, just worse, as only base fight 7 and he needs a few turns to charge up his ability.
Yeah very true, and unlike Gilly Bolg cant add a Lindir to help either

The mount for Thrandy is’t just the strength or knock prone/extra attack on the charge it’s about the bigger base providing more buffs.
Yeah nah it's still bad tho, the bigger base size gives you an extra model or two in his aura at best but then you run into the problem of his massive base being stuck behind your lines just about the entire game. It's too cumbersome

He didn't actually make s tier in our Rohan heroes list, he's great but very very situation and quite nerfed by his list restrictions

Where would Azog and Sauron have gone in this as Azog was S tier in one and Sauron was put above S tier in Mordor, I think that would’ve been interesting to see where they rank amongst these heroes. Great tier list though.
Bolg is just Azog but better really, honestly no idea how I missed him or why Bolg is in legend but ya know?
Sauron was technically above s tier... So technically wouldn't be here... Nah I missed him too but he wasn't getting s tier here anyway

@@bluemoka8992 I'd put him in S tier. The comparison to Bard or Imrahil completely ignored that both of them are much more expensive, aren't allies with Mordor and don't have march. There's a reason why Mordor with Suladan won tons of GBHL 100 events last year
The dude belongs nowhere near STier hahahaha.
Also thinking March is a good heroic, yikes.
Sully is fine but compared to most other profiles in this list he's pretty Meh.

are we just ignoring king's guards? Like yes 12 inches fearless bubble is great but... paying 18 points more to have 18 elves with f6 running around? Way better

I play both Treebeard and Beorn, I think Treebeard is better. The Hobbits make breaking the army pretty tough and in a low unit List I think the crushing club monstrous attack is very good and you can also use a hero as the club and do multiple wounds to it. Plus strength 10 stones on a 4+ are insane. Beorns problem imo is his berserk rule, because he will also always be in a lower model list, decent opponents can pretty easily control his movement which is devastating for a 200 point unit
Honestly his berserk rule is absolutely irrelevant 99% of the time.
In my long time of playing beorn there's only one noticeable time where it was damning to me and that was when over 2 turns beorn rolled 2 highs to kill a galadrihim warrior.
It was all dice. Even then it just ment beorn was outta position for 1 turn.
So not that damning.

Is this list supposed to only include heroes of legend? Because Bolg is not a hero of legend and Radagast is not often a hero of legend.
I'd also like to know how Radagast is supposed to be this good. His support abilities can be very nice but he can't lead troops so really struggle to write a decent list that includes him
Yeah mistake on Bolg but he would have been S tier in any list he was in
The fact that Raddy is legend and yellow with practically every list means he's the perfect one drop into any army, just make a army with roughly 150 points to spare the slot him in, easy buffs

@@NoobsandMen Sure, it's easy to write a list with him but I haven't see one that justifies him being in S - tier. Terror is nice but countered by a most strong armies so it's 150 pts for "just" Nature's wrath which is a very strong spell but I'm not sure if it's better than 150 pts of troops.
Healing is nice but needs an other expensive hero.
If you want transfix, you can get it from other heroes for much less points (Galadriel for example because she can bring 18 troops with her).
Do you have an example list at reasonable points level (so 800 pts or below) that includes Radagast and shows why he's an S - tier hero? I think I'm just missing something to understand why he's this good.

I mean, you just listed a million good reasons to have him.
For starters sure there are some armies that counter terror, maybe 25% of armies at any given tournament? Congrats youve got a huge advantage against the other 75%
Heal doesn't work unless you bring a big hero? Take one? Most of them will be legend so you can still take plenty of troops.
There's other transfix? For starters, not in every army, and definitely not on a 3+ with all the aforementioned other spells and abilities. Plus you missed panic steed, an absolutely fantastic spell that can almost instantly neuter quite a few big heroes in this game or really mess up the day of a cavalry force if it's channelled.
Of course on top of it all you have nature's wrath which not only ups your armies killing power it also keeps them alive even if they lose the fight.
Like I said before, Raddy can be in almost any good aligned army. For instance, throw him in just about any dwarf list and you're absolutely laughing. Terror causing hobbits? Yes please. Want to make Fangorn viable? Give em Raddy. F5 terror causing Gondor? Raddy and Boz are in the field. Fellowship and Thorins company also have a fantastic time with him. Just all around an incredible hero

@@NoobsandMenAre you playing a lot at 700 + pts? Because for example Dain, Captain, goat, 20 IHs and Raddy at 650 pts feels like way too few minis.
I also don't think that it's just 25 % of the strong lists. DE and AoL have furry, Mordor - Harad has C5, Gondor and Rohan has bodyguard, ... I think most competitive have an answer to a terror front don't they?

The only one who really got me is Imrahil, I feel like he should be high A to S for certain(personally of course lol) 3/3/3 hero who can pretty much take on any other hero and generally do ok or better. Hes got the lance for killing power, 12" banner effect, legend, 5f warriors within 3" as well. Just a lot in the kit I think that would override others like GG who lack the army help if theyre shut down by magic or what not. Great stuff either way though guys!
Yeah fair points on Imrahil, he probably should have been in a tier at very least.

I always thought it was like Durin the 5th with the rog, but when you name all your characters the same name it does get difficult 😂 no one remembers Aragorn the 1st

They are both S tier. However, Gil Gilad would be lower.
Where is Sauron?
these are only S-Tier-rated heroes ranked. Sauron same as King Aragorn did not make the cut in the earlier video. There are quite a bunch of questionable contestants in this list for certain.
Well technically Sauron was above s tier in our Mordor tier list so.... Technically... Doesn't belong here anyway 😂

Didnt make it to s tier in our Azog lists, he's great but Bolg is better (also we know he's not legend lmao)

Side note I took Azog to the Texas LSO 800 Pt tourney last year with his Signal Tower and max berserkers and placed 3rd! Got the idea to do that from your tier list vid. One heck of a list! Haha
