- After half a year we are back, ready to reclaim our throne as 'the tier list boys'.
Starting off with a doozy, The irrefutable, the undeniable, the incontrovertible, the conclusively BEST competitive scenario tier list.
our stewards 'into the west podcast' have done an amazing job in our stead but much like denethor they need to vacate the throne for the return of the king's.

Fog of War is simply a masterpiece in game design. It is well balanced, fun to play and thrilling till the end of a match. No idea how this and Storm the Camp were designed by the same people presumably.

I’d like to see with the 1-2 break scenarios.
Something along the lines of 3 extra turns max.
Where the game might end on a 1-2 after break, next turn it goes to a 1-2-3-4 and then the next turn it’s going to end regardless.
Or have the potential random turn length remain the same for those scenarios and add the caveat that once your opponent is quartered the game ends regardless.
Then it still has the element of ending sooner than expected, but there’s also a 3 turn counter.
We’ve had games where the game has gone on 4-5 turns longer and it’s totally unnecessary as it gives the person with the upper hand to table the underdog.
Yeah dam actually that's a brilliant idea, after break roll a dice, 1-4 is how many turns you have left but 5 or 6 the game ends there and then, kinda wanna trial that

I quite enjoy storm the camp, but that's because I love making each players camp a fortress effectively. I know doctoring the maps, but it makes for a funner time
For casual games and a bit of fun storm is good, but sucks ass in tournament play haha

I had a game where I versed a well known Rohan lover in my local scene and I played Moria (with the Balrog admittedly) but the MVPs were my Goblin archers. Rohan player moved Theoden into range knowing they were there but didn't think much of them, as he should. 3 Goblin archers shot, and killed Theoden in one turn. It was absolutely wild and I never miss a chance to remind him. Honestly one of the best things about this game is that any model can just turn the tide of the game and it's SO good when it happens.

I have a question, I just got myself a Manual Rules book and there are only 6 scenarios(page 144), where do you guys get the other 13? I need them! XD
They're in the matched play guide book, GW wants you buying as many books as possible to play this game unfortunately... The scenarios themselves can usually be found online however

Great vid guys! I beg to differ on the Reconnoitre take. I think it forces you to play asymmetrical against 1) your opponent and 2) how you/most play (death ball) rewarding good movement abilities, resource management, use of terrain and long term strategy.
Tips: Watch Kylies masterpiece in Ardacon 2019 against Norway. Her Orc Captain does a tactical manoeuvre with an Heroic Combat and might advantage to get off the board only after WK has forced out Gandalfs will and broken his staff (1:04:00). And Gulavhar, who usually is an offensive threat, suddenly becomes main defender of the lines. It is a recon-game worth studying if you don't like or understand the game mode:)
