I also take out my spinners around 3-4 week of season but when I run traffic not sitting on the X…I have had good luck turning the spinners off once I have the Ducks attention.

What was the name of the portable blind you mentioned at 2:11? Did you say fast track?

Everyone is jealous of my knockout blind when we are setting blinds up. I’m set up and sitting in mine while they are still putting theirs together.

Personally I think the FA black ducks that are flocked are worth it. All black duck decoys I’ve used that are not flocked shine something fierce when wet.

I think a lot of these realistic looking decoys capture the hunter more than the ducks. I still use some older herters decoys that don’t look amazing, but it’s enough to get them in regularly.

Looks way simpler than the one I currently use. I am currently running the Express Low-Profile Layout Blind from Final Approach. About how many sections of the raffia grass do you use for your current level of coverage? Love all Final Approach products for sure!

I agree 100% with everything you said but I started doing dove/duck hunting with a mod in closer proximity and then went to a full and I personally was way better with the full but I agree with you fully

I have an older FA SUB folds up super small for walking in, I love it but it's A pain to get in and out of and hard to fold up with brush

Flocked mallard floaters look good to the human eye, but it makes no difference to how they decoy. I’ve hunted over spreads of plastic, flocked and cork. Mixed in or complete spreads of either type. Ducks still worked the same. Flocked mallard floaters are made for the hunter….

Mud sticks to them somethin fierce and make sure you buy a bag that won't rip the flocking off.

I’ve purchased 3 acrylic and one molded call from Bobby. I called him and emailed over the course of 2 days and got no response. I won’t be purchasing anymore of his. I realize the timing was horrible (first week of his duck season), but I never got a response. Had he hit me back 3 weeks later, it would have been different. But I got nothing. I’ve pretty well switched to cutdowns at this point anyway. Singleton LA cut is loud and easy blowing. Echo’s Endgame is a .10 mil cutdown that’s super easy to blow. Their Ace in the Hole is a more traditional cutdown that is SUPER ducky.

If it's a good flocking job, which most factory decoys aren't, mud isn't a problem. Some water and a scrub brush and they are as good as new. Flocked decoys in my experience are best in sun. It straight kills the shine you would get on plastic. I'm also biased since my whole spread is either fully flocked or cork decoys.

Have to wash your flocked decoys once in a while, use ONLY non UV soap.

Trying out the Slayer calls “DUBAR” single reed this year. So far just blowing it in the truck I’m really impressed with it. And definitely the Molt Gear “Rush “ for geese

just put matt clear coat on them if your worried about the shine

If you hunt muddy water or swamps things like that you need to wash them after any hunt because they will stain

Permanent spreads in rice fields kills flocked decoys...that mud / water does not play around. I will not use another flocked decoy for that reason. They do look nice and if you are putting out and picking up every time and bag them carefully they can be a great asset in your arsenal.

Hunt in Wisconsin and the flocked decoys only make it out the last week or two of the season since that’s when the mallards usually show up. Bagging is definitely a must!

Last week cabelas had 12 fully flocked geese and duck combo for $200 avions

Same way Bet I have 60 calls and only use a couple of them my go to goose is a money maker from zink when clay worked for them and he tuned it at a show many years ago

Hey Josh Love the walleye stuff. I live in Central NE, it’s hard to find walleye stuff that’s not shallow lake South Dakota or Minnesota info! I’m also new to walleye fishing, as this is my second year with a boat. I catch most of the walters on bottom bouncers but I’ve been using cranks a little more this year. 15-20ft. I’m thinking of switching to lead core (although I’ve never done that) as the summer heats up.
