12 years later, came in handy. Had to clean the contact for the top dpad. Works like a charm again.

i remember when this happened to my MW2 disc. had it on spec ops and went up to my TV to turn down the volume, unfortunately I tipped over the Xbox. checked the disc and it had a huge ring in the middle😢

Oh I so hope you can help me since no one even Silhouette will address this. I'm using the Cameo 4 it is less than a year old and the carriage is stuck in the center. It will not return to the left like it is supposed to do even if I push it there, it goes right to the center and starts cutting from there which results in it cutting right off the mat. I am so dammed frustrated!!! A little known thing I didn't know is that if you want to return a machine you had better have it's original box! Which I do not as this was a gift and I had a plane to get home so I just bought it a nigh shock resistant bag. I also bought it a dust cover. It sort of worked fine up until about two months ago when shit started! Like it's stuck on the last project setting maybe, sorry I can't remember. I will be most grateful if you can help me fix this as people want to see making things and I don't want to tell them I can't because their present is a malfunction.

That’s why consoles became trayless now you either close the lid on the disc or inject the disc in btw 360 had the worst disc tray design Microsoft never should have been recommending to display the 360 vertically it’s even worse than PlayStation 2 even Sony fixed it in there revision in that’s a older console

I coudl even fix it without removing the tray, just pushing the knob (aka "peg") to the right by pulling a little bit the door back on the right, pushing the knob to the right and reinserting. Worked like a charm without an hassle of a complete dismantling. thanks again ! And seven years after the comment below, it also stopped my son crying ;)

Bro thank you for helping me! Literally I went to the park with my girlfriend and I come home to my Xbox 360 tray being open while it’s turned off and I noticed that was odd. I was looking for answers and saw your video and turns out my little nephew was messing with my Xbox that he slid a CD In my disk while the disk tray was out. Which caused the disk tray to refuse to close because it was being blocked, the whole time I thought they really broke my Xbox but it was a CD. Lesson of the day is to always make sure little kids aren’t around my games lol.

Ah, thanks a lot! My head was also sticking sometime... a little tap was fixing it, but if I didnt notice it would start some part without cutting. I look like 3/16" foam tape is the best. 1/4" was OK but a little too much, but would have been working fine I guess. 1/8" was not enough.
