Thanks very much for this solution. My wife's Cameo started doing this mid way through Christmas cards! After she is finished I maybe investigate this problem further. Maybe there is an adjustment screw or something behind the cut head that is going out of spec.
Ah, thanks a lot! My head was also sticking sometime... a little tap was fixing it, but if I didnt notice it would start some part without cutting. I look like 3/16" foam tape is the best. 1/4" was OK but a little too much, but would have been working fine I guess. 1/8" was not enough.
Oh I so hope you can help me since no one even Silhouette will address this. I'm using the Cameo 4 it is less than a year old and the carriage is stuck in the center. It will not return to the left like it is supposed to do even if I push it there, it goes right to the center and starts cutting from there which results in it cutting right off the mat. I am so dammed frustrated!!! A little known thing I didn't know is that if you want to return a machine you had better have it's original box! Which I do not as this was a gift and I had a plane to get home so I just bought it a nigh shock resistant bag. I also bought it a dust cover. It sort of worked fine up until about two months ago when shit started! Like it's stuck on the last project setting maybe, sorry I can't remember. I will be most grateful if you can help me fix this as people want to see making things and I don't want to tell them I can't because their present is a malfunction.

Hey there, I am having a problem with my Cameo, I don't actually know what it is, but I need to figure it out some how. It's making a weird sound and It wont move the blade
I have a Silhouette Cameo 3 and my blade popped up cutting optical 651 and I unloaded it from the machine to see the traveling carrier that cuts the material / left one which holds blade is cracked, can it be replaced? Thanks
What happens if the whole giant box doesn't do anything? Normally when I turn mine on the black box moves a little and makes a noise but i dropped it and it doesn't anymore...HELP PLEASE!!!😩😩😩
I know this is a weird request but I'm hearing impaired so I can't make out the instructions... could someone type it out?! Like closed captioning for CZcams instructions? My blade housing doesn't go up and down at all and I've done WD40... it worked fine for about 2 months then just locked up after I was using sketch pens to do addresses. Thank you!!!

Worked perfectly! Also I've lubricated the moving plastic parts with WD40.

Have you had the plastic guards get pushed in too far? Can't cut vinyl because one side won't push back to the side
I will be doing this to my wife's Cameo tonight....hopefully you just saved my wallet $215 as that was the least expensive V2 I could find. lol
