Technically these were all panaderias, call it what you want. I've enjoyed many sweet and savory opinions, depends on what I'm in the mood for. It's always fresh, unprocessed, and delicious 😋

The food opinions in Cuenca are great. We've had some wonderful meals in all price ranges. I agree that prices on rentals and real estate are going up. On our first trip in 2021 we could have bought a new one bedroom apartment in the parque de la madre area for 45k. In 2023 that same apartment was selling for upper 90s. We should have bought one, dang 😅

@@ericandsandy Dang that much? I'm currently looking at either land or RE in Cuenca, looks like there's some good opportunity around. I'd pay close attention if another armed conflicts comes up hah!

Agreed. It was different from other places we've been. But we quickly fell in love with the people, culture, and history of the country. I didn't know much about wine or drink much of it before visiting Georgia, now I love it. And Cha Cha! 😁 And we both love love love the food!!! Thank you Anne. Have a wonderful trip, we hope you love Ecuador as much a we do. Bring 50+ sunscreen, a black travel umbrella, and a lightweight rain jacket and good walking shoes. We also got Native Organs Altitude Rx from Amazon and starting taking that a week to two weeks before we went to Ecuador the first time. It's all natural. It sure did help with the altitude, for us anyway. Plus drink lots of water when you're there.. take it easy when you arrive.. no big excursions the first couple days. Hope all this info helps you. That was the problem. I wasn't able to pass urine. The 12mm stone was completely blocking the tube going from my left kidney to my blader. I saw the blockage on the video from the surgery procedure, before and after it was broken up by the lazer they ran up inside me. Thanks for for watching. All our best

There are many bakeries to choose from around town. In general it's a great place with lots of food options in all different budget ranges. The best thing about Cuenca is the people. So kind and friendly. We're sure you'll have a great time. Safe travels, all our best!

Hi... thank you so much for watching. We have never experienced any delays from Cuenca. We've never taken the bus to Guayaquil but we have friends that take it all the time. It takes about 3 hours by bus. Ecuador is a beautiful country. If the bus is at night you won't be able to see the beautiful countryside..I would take the flight. I guess it also depends on how quick you want to arrive . Have a great time, I hope you're going to love Cuenca as much as we did. Safe travels friend.

Guanabana is my favorite!!! I know about pitahaya being very high in fiber. I used to eat a lot of it in my smoothie bowls in the states

I'm not clear on exactly what your question is? Yes you can use both of those anywhere that takes cards. Atm fees are usually between $1.50 and $4 usd. Depending on who you bank with in the states those fees could be reimbursed. I know Charles Schwab and Capital One does not change fees and reimburses any fees charged.
