That Coconut Macaroon is an Ecuador delicacy. Locals say the secret ingredient is diced bacon browned 🤷🏼♀️😂

Can't tell for sure from the picture, but the fruit and cheese roll-up reminds me of guava paste and cheese that my late MIL used to serve on special holidays. She was from Guayana.
We're pretty sure it is the same fruit that is in the fruit bar we love. Guayaba..and I believe that is guava. A couple of our subscribers told us to try it with cheese. So I'm going to say you are correct, it probably is the same thing your MIL served on holidays. I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your MIL. That's always a hard thing to go through. All the sweets Eric ate were not overtly sweet.. just had the right amount of sugar. The fireworks were amazing, we have never seen a show like that and I'm so glad we got to experience it. What a firework display!!! Best time I've ever had watching them. Especially the duck and cover at certain times. I almost felt like extreme sports firework edition....it was AWESOME.

I don't think your diet would be harmed....you do so much walking out here, any little weight gained drops off fast from all of the walking. But you can live vicariously through us as long as you want. And congratulations on the 50lbs lost, I'm so proud of you!!! That is amazing..Great job!!!

Man I'm only 47 years young, lol. Thank you for the compliment. To stay in shape I really just do all the simple things. I go to the gym and lift weights 3 days a week. And I have a good relationship with fitness where I am not only results oriented I also enjoy the journey. It may not look like it on some of our videos but I mainly eat very clean and healthy. I don't eat processed foods I don't snack on sugary salty snacks. In fact I don't even have that stuff in the house. I eat fresh fruits and vegetables everyday, lean proteins, don't eat a lot of sugar. My carbs are pretty much just simple carbs like brown rice and potatoes. That being said I do enjoy having dessert when we go out and you know I definitely will treat myself at times. I focus on my overall wellness as much as my health and fitness. As well as exercise and eating right I focus on getting good quality sleep, I keep my stress levels low, drink plenty of water, Sandy and I enjoy going on walks, I try to have quality relationships in my life. Having balance between all these things helps lead to overall wellness, fitness, and good health. I'm happy to say that today I feel like I'm in the best shape of my life. Even better than back when I was an athlete in my twenties. I'm also formerly a certified personal trainer. I would highly recommend you subscribe and watch the CZcams channel Mind Pump Show and Mind Pump Clips. I've learned and continued to grow in my journey through those guys as well. They share a lot of good information about fitness in the right way. I watch that show weekly and Sandy even enjoys watching it with me. I also enjoy their workout programs and the way they program workouts. Their maps fitness programs are 2nd to none. For nutritional advice I like doctor Lane Norton. His CZcams channel is called Bio Lane. I would highly recommend you subscribe to those guys and get all you can from them. And I'm always here to help if you have questions. Understand there's no passive approach to health, fitness, and wellness you have to put the work in. And I work hard at everything I want to be good at. Good luck!

We haven't had any stomach issues. Not with the food or drink here. We drink the tap water.. it's filtered. The street food has all been very delicious and no problems at all. We haven't had a problem with anything. Thanks for watching, we appreciate you very much

Wow, all those sweets gave me a sweet craving. Did you ever figure out what the egg was and how to eat it? Those people in the harnesses carrying the images while the sparkler type fireworks went off are awfully brave, I hate sparklers. The fireworks were beautiful though. Thank you.
The egg was like a jawbreaker with chocolate in the middle. The people that were carrying the firework animals looked like they were having a blast 💥..no pun intended.

My mum just came back from Galapagos really mad, everything is veeeery expensive and everybody was trying to get charge for anything, becouse europeans and americans try to be "nice", but even they were mad now that everyithing is so expensive. Its sad.
Thanks for the tip....we're just learning spanish so when we get the hang of the basics I think we will be more comfortable trying to barter with prices. Thank you for your comment and watching our video. We hear the Galapagos is very very expensive. So I can understand your mum's frustration. I also hear that it's expensive because it helps maintain the pristine state of the islands (which are 600 miles off the coast), and the government is working very hard to keep it an UNESCO heritage site that is pristine and well conserved as possible.
@@ericandsandy Yes, it has always been more expensive, but now it's really exaggerated, to the point that wealthy people complain, and not only that, but locals charge tourist to access public space... It's very very sad.
Just to be clear, I'm not criticizing you, I know that language is a big barrier, but it boils my blood when people try to take advantage of tourists.
Cuencanos are easy going and will help you with your spanish, there's no faster way to learn than listening and speaking to locals. But be sure to learn neutral Spanish, it would be hilarious if you end up speaking the real cuencano accent.
