No worries mate
I would recommend using a pure sign wave inverter if you are using sensitive electronics. This can inverter is a modified sign inverter and is not recommended for sensitive electronics. Thanks for watching
💪👊 yes I'm keeping this one aswell learnt so much from last couple of vids awesome stuff brother take care mate 👊
Glad you liked it mate 🤙🏻 hope you get some sun on your block this wknd

Thanks mate. Put one in the claimant’s now 👍
Cant go wrong. My 75/15 is magic
They are Good value for money
Thanks for the update. Ill purchase one and see how it goes
Yeah give it a go mate. It should start preforming better as the days start getting longer
What's the max amps from the load out? Cheers for the video too. It's a great help.
Hey bro. I think from memory it’s 20amp so I could run plenty if lights 😝
Capacity is shit don't waste your money. I also have the Kickass KickCharge 300 24Ah Lithium Power Pack / Hub its almost identical, each charge last about 30% longer with the Kickass. I got both Power Packs new a few days apart and have done multiple tests using the same 12V stuff plugged in. Every time the Kickass outlasted the Kings. Example 12V electric blanket last 6 hrs with Kings and 10 hrs with Kickass using the same settings ,Typical kings crap
Yeah nice mate. I have seen that kickass pack. Looks decent
It took a bit long b4 d metal heated. Why pls
Hi there. Sand is not the best conductor of heat so I takes longer to transfer the heat to the outside metal.
Another awesome video brother absolutely love it 💪👊
Thanks bro 🤙🏻
Thanks for the video mate. Cheers. Great explanation too.
Thanks bro. 😎 🤙🏻
@@Techboxreview To be really honest, I'd love to see a video on how to charge and run bunnings/ebay garden solar lights from a solar panel and 12V battery. There is nothing out there.
Hi, Aussie here. I've bought anko resin too and was wondering did yours harden and cure completely?
Hi mate. Mine did harden completely. It did take around 48hours
@@Techboxreview I actually used a bottle of part A resin and Part B of Billins resin 1:1 ratio. Do you reckon it will harden even though they're different brands?
@murphchris5670 not 100% sure mate. I don’t know a lot about resins. How long has it been since you mixed the resin
@@Techboxreview earlier tonight. I'll check in a few days.
@murphchris5670 let me know how it turns out mate
Great real-world examples. Keep the videos coming! 👍
Thanks Brother. And thanks for your support 🤙🏻
Keep an eye on 4WDsupacentre deals, every so often (e.g. Sunday Friday and nights) this unit is for sale at $199.
I was watching a Kings ad on these and they state it can charge via the 12 volt adapter, just like the 12 volt cig socket in your car i would limit the volts to 120 which is about 10 amps.
Hi mate. That’s good. I thinks kings does sell the adapter I’m not 100% sure but it would be worth asking. I still think the pack will only accept 60watts through that port.
How many Amps is the stepdown convertor you are using? I have a 56v , 260w solar panel and wondering which stepdown converter I need.
I believe I used a 20amp one In the video.
@@Techboxreview Thanks for the reply. 👍
Got 2 for 80 in store love it really happy with the quality and that orange light is great for round the camp
Hey bud I think so too. The magnet is strong as, You got a good deal for $80. Do the orange lights work with not attracting bugs
Nice update I'll be picking up a few of these in the future 👊
Why not 😜🤙🏻
💪it's oddly satisfying when you see free electricity at 100% and still feeding in nicely 👌
It’s awesome bro. The best feeling 🤙🏻 hope you are doing well and keeping Dry
Well i learnt more from your video than i did reading the bosch manual 👍
I am glad that this has helped 🙂
Glad to hear you got it going
Thanks bud. Hope your doing well
@@Techboxreview just got back from a weekend trip with the solar Chuck wagon. Posted a video over on Two Old people On A Couch. Enjoy all your tricks you got.
@grumpygrandpapatriotshow8118 Nice one mate. It’s good to get away every now and then. I might head over and check out the video
I'd love to know how to setup a solar array to batteries then to outdoor lighting. I've seen step down PC boards. It'd need a timer. I've never had long term success with bunnings or amazon stuff.
Depending what your needs are. I actually have a sensor light hocked up to my 400ha solar system. I just got myself a 12volt motion sensor and hooked it up to 2 x 12 volt lights. That one has been working great for 4 years. I agree the smaller solar lights only have 1-2 years in them at best
@@Techboxreview Whenever you're stumped with a video explainer video, your motion sensor solar twin lights would be great to see. Because you actually saved me from buying a 24ah portable kings battery and choosing to save for a kings 60ah.
@aussieallrounder6018 your welcome bro I’m glad I have helped. I have been eyeing off those 60ah batteries myself 😁I may just do a quick video on those lights one day.
Is it possible to increase the battery capacity?
I’m afraid not without tearing it apart. It would be nice if you could though. It’s a good unit otherwise
Was the Victron battery settings on LiFePo4?
Hi mate. Yeah the controller was set on lifepo4. I have used this method of charging now for a good 6 times or more without any problems so far
Mate sunlight charging is very dissapointing lately we've had terrible weather for weeks only the odd glimpse of sunshine 👊
How bigs your solar panel bro
I'll upload that vid today will come out tonight the new panel 550watts
Sweet bro sounds sood
Am I missing something???? I have this battery and was curious, I never saw where you came up with the actual AH it produced.
Hi mate. At Around 7mins in is the capacity test results. The result was 52.68ah from memory
Let's see you try that with a resistive load connected first! More interesting is what happens when load exceeds what the panels produce. I find this video technically misleading. It convinces others to try what technically will never work in other applications like heating water. I turn buck converters into linear current boosters which will maintain the panel at power point in all sun conditions. I design PV water heating controls and connecting a MPPT controller to a heating element is lunacy. Nice presentation, just very misleading to the solar community which is extremely technically challenged.
This was a follow up video from another video where I was using a dc buck converter to run a 12volt kettle and other 12volt appliances. I received a comment saying I should have used a mppt charge controller instead of the buck converter. So I decided to try and find out if it would work. I would still recommend using a buck converter over the mppt. Thanks for watching
@@TechboxreviewI use a cheap controller straight into my 12 volt fridge which has a lithium battery.
@simonpepper9721 hi mate. Is it a brass monkey fridge? I hear they are good fridge
@@Techboxreview No, its a Companion. Outlived it's 3 year warranty,going strong.
@simonpepper9721 nice bro 💪
at least youve got good quality components in preperation for the future, just need a few more panels off facebook market place or altenergy. apparently wd40 is one of the best contact cleaners and lubricants. i use contact clean and lube spray but ages ago i read wd40 is very good at doing the same job.
Thanks for that tip mate. I do have some wd40 laying around. I actually wouldn’t mind getting a small wind turbine to have a play around with 🤓 maybe I will get one one day
@@Techboxreview yeh theyre kinda fun , But turbines need to be above surrounding trees and buildings or youl see almost no power, kinda like putting a solar panel in the shade or putting it in the sun. then theres the other hurdle finding a turbine that actually matches advertised specs , so much deception out there. turbines make little power by that i mean compared to solar panels theres no comparison. ive got heaps of em, even built my own . if youve got winds above say 20kms youll do well. i used a lighting tower wind up mast with outriggers and guy wires and i snuck the turbine up high at night, i painted it so it was hard to see at night , and wind it down before sunrise, it was only good in windy conditions which are rare for me in my wheatbelt town.
And why don't you use Anderson plugs? Cheers
I use xt60 connections because I have an array of other items I have set up with xt60 connections. It just works for me. Anderson plugs would work fine also 🤙🏻
@@Techboxreview Cheers mate. I'll look into them
No worries mate. Keep in mind XT60 connections are rated to 30amps
Have you got a link to your multi battery setup at all? Looks cool.
No links sorry. It’s just something I put together. I will have to make a video on the complete setup one day 😝🤙🏻
@@Techboxreview I just found it!!
@@Techboxreview And just found the longer video!! haha
@aussieallrounder6018 nice
fun, the mk channel is good , the guy is pretty sharp.
Yeah John knows his stuff that’s for sure
Hi mate , The plugs or the attachment on the battery with fuse , where did you buy it from or what's it called please . Thanks for the vid
Hi mate. I made those plugs myself. The connectors I use are called xt60 connectors
Not a huge mistake. Those are a large step up from your Ryobi. Not top of the line, but good tools. You’ll like them with the powerstack batteries.
Thanks for that mate
Im not sure if this would add to fridge run time but with my esky, i pre chill it with a couple of bottles of frozen water the night before i go away and it stays colder for longer stays cold with prechilling for about 5 days without prechilling i get about 2 days. In a way im sure it would cause the fridge would already be cold...
Great idea mate. I like it 👍 getting a couple extra days is amazing
Thank you so much !!! Lifesaver!
I wonder if you could daisy chain them using this method 🤔
Good question mate 🤔
You probably can, the question would be the longevity of the BMS's
Man for how cheap ozito is it continues to surprise me we have some ozito stuff at the winery used by dozens of staff who have zero care factor and it still holds up 👊
Another interesting test I don't have many dewalt batteries but I'll remember this cheers brother 👊
Thanks for watching brother 🤙🏻
Nice test I've got so many ryobi batteries they take a beating I'd always wondered about the capacity after time though nice work brother 👊
Thanks bro. Year u can’t beat ryobi tools. Great value for money 🤓🤙🏻
Highly rate ryobi use a lot of there gear at work aswell
Welcome little friend........ I'm curious why have so many small independent systems when you clearly have the skills to build a big one is it convience or different things are better with different batteries love ya work brother 👊
Hey brother. The systems are in different areas so for me it’s just I add a small system for the shed to run a small tv/ fans ect and that 400ah solarking one under the patio to run my aquaponics and charge powertools and other small stuff. I do acually have a 24volt system that I havnt shown yet that runs a small fridge/ clothes washer and air pumps for my koi pond. That’s system is large enough to run cooking appliances such as kettles and induction cookers. I think for me I just enjoy doing things so it just keeps growing and expanding over time 😜🤙🏻 hope you are keeping dry over your way
I may actually build a big 48v system one day though 😜🤙🏻
I also should mention that I like multiple systems for redundancy. For example if my inverter stops working on one system I can still use the other system if needed while I wait for a replacement to arrive. I’m not left in the dark so to speak 😝🪫🔌
That's a really good point to have a back up system
Yeah bro I think so. You could have a large system for most of your needs and one small system that’s enough just to run a small fridge and charge phones/tools/radio. ect.
guys ive known whove been off grid for decades all seem to end up going back to 12v , they said to me its because of battery balancing and premature battery failures , and all the batteries being different voltages , i found the same and the difference can be significant at times and i have high quality charge controllers that do bulk, float and absorb. seems always the batteries on one side of the two batteries are always lower, im guessing because by memory protons are stationary and electrons move not sure about lifepo4 in series but lead 12v is less hassles with battery issues and less battery failures. ill be buying victron battery balancers.as mine is 24v. i guy i spoke to years ago in Qld went back to 12v from 48v , he had one huge panel and a charge controler for every Huge lead acid battery , he said since doing that hes had zero battery issues. he owned a renewable energy stor and had lived off grid for 40 years at that time. my freind in texas another installer is 12v too , his channel is John daniels , i just type john dainiels wind turbine and he comes up. hes got serious neck issues now so hes kinda slowed down a bit. my other close freind in tara qld his battery voltage was lethal about 180vdc so he could use an industrial UPS as an off grid inverter , imagine those battteries balancing LOL. another guy i know in canada his battery voltage was 220.
Are they still working OK? Mine lasted about 1 month before karking it.
That’s no good mate 😅 yeah mine are still going. But they are struggling to get a decent amount of sunlight atm because of all the rain.
Will this be a 12 or 24 Volt System
Not 100% sure yet mate. But it will most likely be 12volt. I might pair it up with my GoKWH 100ah battery
I've got a 75/10. It can be set for 12 or 24v
10amp at 24v = 240watts of solar. Pretty impressive I reckon. Thanks for watching mate
@@Techboxreview I've had mine about a year it works great. I've connected mine to an old raspberry pi running the free venus OS so I can see the status when I'm not home.
@chrisreynolds6331 that’s an awesome idea mate 🙌 i should learn about raspberry Pi and do some coding. I have recently got some Meshtastic devices that I have been playing around with
Awesome mate . I have only had one ryobi battery fail on me while under warranty think was just over 12 months old and Bunnings just replaced it with proof of purchase no questions asked. (3 year warranty) . I have to get myself a tester like yours when mine shits itself . Great vid 👍🍻
That’s good to know. I will make sure I keep my receipt if buying any more batteries. Hope it’s not too wet over your side of the country 😝🍻
I was thinking optimistic at 4ah.
😜 you wasn’t too far off mate
Does this setup have any inverter hooked up?
Hi mate It’s not recommended to run an inverter on the output side of that controller. You will be better off running your inverter from a battery
Can i plug a type c solar panel directly into a power bank if the solar panel doesn't exceed the specs of the power bank?
Hi mate. I have charger power banks with small usb solar panels. I think it should be fine
@@Techboxreview Thanks mate.
Can i connect my 10amp pmw solar charger to my car battery, without solar, so i can charge my sla secondary battery while driving like an Isolator.?
I’m not 100% sure on that one mate. The safer bet is to get yourself a dc to dc charger
