2k and ea fc have become less about having fun while creating a team you enjoy playing with, and more about buying the team either through packs or wait until the respective player's value decreases. both have ramped up their microtransaction opportunities by introducing recycled packs that cost an arm and half a leg, while the gameplay aspect has gotten worse. Money is the driving force of the decisions the developers make, but there needs to be a change on how both ultimate team and myteam function, and give the players a chance to expand their respective clubs without the use of money. the gameplay will either feel smooth and free-flowing or it will feel as if every player is running with stones for boots/sneakers. heard about a possible fifa 2k collab, if the developers focus on improving the game's mechanics and less about making packs that cost $40 each, that would be a good start

Hot take, being behind when you refuse to buy VC makes you grind and love the process of my career. When you slowly rank your mp up and win my career games it slowly translates to the online aspect against other players and you can get a tuff character all while keeping the game fresh as you don’t have an insanely good player after the first week of buying the game. So it stays fresh longer and you enjoy a good my career plot.

micro transactions are the biggest problem you literally cant play without making at least 2 builds and getting the season pass (already over 200$) next is the game play, dribbling is so bad that everyone is a rim runner especially casuals . the contest system needs a big rework . the build system needs to go back to pie charts or something brand new because this one is just bad you cant make a complete build your always lacking something

I’ve never played park or career mode so I wouldn’t know… I just play gm mode… I just get bored if the game cause it really is the same every year . That’s why I only buy the ones with someone on the lakers is on the cover

If 2k made an nba 2k where you can carry over your myplayer but you had to REALLY grind the game. I wouldn’t mind micro transactions. Especially for cosmetics and they’d still make a lot of money. Look at Fortnite. Till then I’ll wait for 2k to be free or play a previous year.

Funny thing about this video is that there’s people who can can play 2K, enjoy 2K, and NEVER spend a dime. There are so many other modes outside of MyTeam and MyCareer that you’d think they’d be taken advantage of.

I don’t pay to play. There is nothing wrong with the gameplay of 2k. 2k continues to make it one of the deepest game modes in sports.

2k has just been a mobile game for years. They could make myplayer a free to play game and jack up the prices more and the 2k junkies would buy it. Gamers get what they deserve.

I last purchased VC in 2k20. Bought 2k21, saw I had to run around a city like some weird RPG. I quit, and have not played beside it showing up for free on Game Pass. Basketball is dead for the youth if they do not let go of this extreme greed model, NBA must wake up.

I don’t think this would fix the problems in the vid but would at least be a show of goodwill by 2K: Since they wanna do this seasons and battle pass scam, at the start of each season every player gets 1 free re-do for one of their builds. Basically it takes you to the builder and you get to create a new player for that season and get to upgrade it for free back to the overall you had that first build at. This would let people try different positions, play styles, and actually come back each season, and would be a step in the right direction for 2k to show they give af about the players.

2k11 was legitimately the best 2k game in existence. If you were able to play that game you’ll know this was peak. MyCrew was such a fun mode to play with your friends and you had to actually grind the game to get upgrade points. No micro transactions or anything like that. Just a fun time.
