the crazy thing about live is there were no microtransactions back in live 19 you start off as a 75 and get to a 99 just by playing if the next one is like that there blowing 2k out the water

For us older folks, Live is what got us into basketball games since live 95. 2k is making the same mistake that Live made in the late 90s and early 2000s, which is getting lazy since there weren’t any competitions. It’s good for consumers when companies compete.

Live definitely needs to comeback. Live 19 i got a build to 99 overall with no money spent on the build. Matter of fact the only money i spent was buying the game. All cosmetics was earned with currency i got for just playing the game or the Live Run events. Live to me has ALWAYS been fire and I've been playing it since the SNES days
This is great content I'm glad you're getting this news out early. I'm on board with switching to NBA live. But they have to make it cross play that was the one thing that made me feel good about the next in 2K I'm speaking in terms of the launch regarding 2K24. I know they still have some issues with connection problems. However for the most part I don't have too many issues with the cross today it's a great thing. If NBA live doesn't have cross play and it needs to work at least at a decent level. I will be sticking with NBA 2K. I can't deal with the community being broken up and divided because everybody hasn't switched over to NextGen we need the player base to be big enough being that it's not going to sell as much as 2K anyway. I started back playing and when you just appreciate the game for being different and not plagued with micro transactions you can enjoy it, plus the swag in the game to me is unmatched to actually earn in the game as well as the shoes.

What happened to the old days when developers didn’t get rights to certain entities and still decided to make the game. NBA live 24 could’ve easily been a streetball game where they just acknowledge the real life legends of the game. It could’ve been free as a test run to what they want nba live to be.
