2k keeps showing they care less and less about the community and their customers every year. The prices for upgrading a build from 2k 22 to 2k 24 have almost doubled, you used to be able to make a new build a 90ovr(w rebirth) for 45$ now that same 45$ barley gets you to a 85. Also 2k 22 was the last 2k where you actually got good locker code rewards now they barley give you anything. Removing the auction house was the biggest alienation of a companies core fan base ive seen from a gaming company in my life. Other companies like ea still manage to have auction houses in games like madden eafc etc. they are just greedy and could honestly care less about their fans. No one likes the city no one wants to play hoops on futuristic space station or under the sea. People want to play “park” i only briefly played 2k 21(my first 2k) and i fell in love with the park and the beachside courts. The ambiance was amazing coming from games like fifa and madden i had never experienced playing a pick up style game-mode. And when i purchased 22 i still loved the ship. It was a fun concept that kept the “park” feeling. But 2k just doesn’t feel the same I remember hoping on w my friends and looking for open parks to have 2v2 and 3v3 tourneys. To sum it up the game is over complicated and lost some of its core features that people loved about it to begin with.

I’ll tell you why they did this shit. They did it because of the added 100 overall players added into myteam. 1. That Kobe card wasn’t gonna be as good as the 100 overall player cards which would’ve been ridiculous. Imagine you grind hard in the game to reach top collector and the reward you get isn’t on par with the best cards in the game or better? Yea that would’ve been wild. Now you’d probably say “they could’ve just made the Kobe card 100 overall and still gave it to us” and you’d be right BUT…..2. Now that they’ve did this scandalous thing, when they drop the 100 overall Kobe card (which they will do), people are gonna break bank trying to obtain that card. When you consider that, this easily becomes THE MOST money hungry tactic they’ve ever done. They added 100 overalls to bait people into spending more money via micro transactions. If they’re truly the monsters we think they are, they have to be rubbing their hands together just waiting for the right time to drop the 100 overall Kobe card.
It's like the casino. If you don't win right away you're not going to win. I dumped serious cash on the MJ 100 and never got him. The very next week I pulled the Dirk 100 in my 2nd 20 pack. My new strat for each set is to buy enough packs to get the lower card set in order to get the unsellable pack. If I don't get the 100 in those packs, or the unsellable pack, I quit. I'm not going in crazy deep anymore chasing a card that I can literally throw 2k at to get and never see it. They need to make it where if you exchange X number of Dark Matter cards in a set, you can get the 100 for that set. I don't have a problem with them making money. My problem is that they don't appreciate the people that really spend. I've spent about 3k this year and only have a single 100 card. And I don't start spending until cards that I can use in end game are released. So it's crazy that I only have one 100 card. They need to give us something to work towards, not just a very low random chance to obtain the 100s. I can keep from going crazy on the 100 Kobe. I got the Opal and I loaded him with HOF badges. He's as nasty as any 100 card. He's still my starting SG and I have 99 Vince, Tatum, and Roy.
Here’s the thing, us the customers as a whole, have to stop buying the game. It’s hard but if enough people did it, it would send a message. Only way things will change.

I stopped playing 2k24 months ago and I love ok when I felt like they nerfed my shot I was done waiting on 2k25 hopefully they make better changes

I’ll tell you why they did this shit. They did it because of the added 100 overall players added into myteam.
1. That Kobe card wasn’t gonna be as good as the 100 overall player cards which would’ve been ridiculous. Imagine you grind hard in the game to reach top collector and the reward you get isn’t on par with the best cards in the game or better? Yea that would’ve been wild.
Now you’d probably say “they could’ve just made the Kobe card 100 overall and still gave it to us” and you’d be right BUT…..2. Now that they’ve did this scandalous thing, when they drop the 100 overall Kobe card (which they will do), people are gonna break bank trying to obtain that card. When you consider that, this easily becomes THE MOST money hungry tactic they’ve ever done.
They added 100 overalls to bait people into spending more money via micro transactions. If they’re truly the monsters we think they are, they have to be rubbing their hands together just waiting for the right time to drop the 100 overall Kobe card.
It's like the casino. If you don't win right away you're not going to win. I dumped serious cash on the MJ 100 and never got him. The very next week I pulled the Dirk 100 in my 2nd 20 pack. My new strat for each set is to buy enough packs to get the lower card set in order to get the unsellable pack. If I don't get the 100 in those packs, or the unsellable pack, I quit. I'm not going in crazy deep anymore chasing a card that I can literally throw 2k at to get and never see it. They need to make it where if you exchange X number of Dark Matter cards in a set, you can get the 100 for that set. I don't have a problem with them making money. My problem is that they don't appreciate the people that really spend. I've spent about 3k this year and only have a single 100 card. And I don't start spending until cards that I can use in end game are released. So it's crazy that I only have one 100 card. They need to give us something to work towards, not just a very low random chance to obtain the 100s.
I can keep from going crazy on the 100 Kobe. I got the Opal and I loaded him with HOF badges. He's as nasty as any 100 card. He's still my starting SG and I have 99 Vince, Tatum, and Roy.

2K needs a competitor. I haven’t had a myplayer since 19. I only play My Era and that gets boring.
Here’s the thing, us the customers as a whole, have to stop buying the game. It’s hard but if enough people did it, it would send a message. Only way things will change.

i have 60 hours on 2k24... the game just begs for money.. guess what i am not playing it. i am actually playing 2k17 MyLeague Career. Best time ive had in the last 3-4 years playing 2k.
2k17 was goated & its still fun making a build, use those old glitchy animations & crazy jumpshots.
