I just need something new. Really gonna need some improvements or this will def be my last 2k. And also the people that continue to keep blowing money is the reason 2k will keep this up, the NBA needs to wake up aswell because it’s not even a game at this point especially after the TOS update. Can’t want to enjoy NCAA this summer and leave 2k behind.
Been on 2k since 06 and started heavy from 2K10-22’ since then I’ve been off of it for how much more expensive they made it for Myplayer, Myteam, and even cosmetics. The fact that people are OK paying 140 dollars for a single build is crazy. NO OTHER GAME DOES THIS
It's a huge scam they change the builder around every year and add new badges and animations so that you create one player just to find out you can't get this badge or animation and then incentivize you to make multiple new builds through rebirth to spend more money
I don’t even mind spending money. The problem is the price. On 2k16 I could make a complete build in under a week of grinding for only $20-$30 to max it out. Now it takes $200 just to max out one players
Its very true tht othe basketball games can exist. back in the day we had live and 2k + NBA Streets, NBA Ballers, And1, NBA Jam, NCAA. It can be done. ive been over 2k for years, theyre just the only basketball game out

Because at the release of every year, people buy the 250k vc pack to make a build. If vc transfer they wouldn't get all that profit from the release and buy of that vc.
Appreciate the update. I haven't played since about November because the game is so stale and money-driven as always. Really hoping NBA Live gets resurrected somehow.
My thing with 2k is jumpshots having to adjust your shots over pass 2ks then if they patch your shots it’s kinda hard to find a new one that’s consistent
I hop on NBA live 19 from time to time for this exact reason. I'm tired of having to spend money to test out a player at 85, or spend weeks grinding it. It's a nice break from the 2K nonsense
The worst part about my team is they completely got rid of the auction house at least when cards with insanely low odds got dropped in older games you could snipe them from the auction house, but now with the player market the game itself sets the prices for the cards and the prices are ridiculous
I’m a freshman in college and I’ve played 2k religiously since middle school. This is outrageous. My team is pay to win, park builds cost a small fortune. My league is a shell of its former self. I’m not buying anymore 2k basketball games until further notice; I wish the community would boycott this money hungry system. They’re robbing us and not even trying to hide it.
What are the qualifications to opt out? Do I have to be a streamer etc? Also I’m not angry at 2k. More upset with myself for spending so much money and time on a game. I hopped off for years but when I came back there was so much community pressure to win, hit shots, so I started buying boosts and making new builds and it became a natural habit. I then realized I am acting ultra competitive and spending money on a video game that brings me no assets, no value. I don’t play as much and don’t take it nearly as serious anymore.
Thank you thank you thank you Badge Plug!!!! It is about they are going about it and already what they do and have done and will continue to do. And other creators just talk about it being the same TOS everyone else. They need to feel it in there pockets stop buying packs, boost, Gatorade, and etc. They need to be forced to change and not given the benefit of the doubt because they are the only ones with a basketball game. We can ay the game but not buy things.
It's a good question, where does a majority of the player base sit? Single-play NBA games or park, I assume more park, but they make a lot of money from my team which no other game could build to match on license. Moreover, a new game could win on the multiplayer park and street ball with your own apartment GTA style, courts and fast matchmaking areas I believe the mocap would take time, and since it's a sports game all custom code from the ground up, can't take assets it's not an FPS or Adventure game. About to load up Unreal Engine 5 and give it a go will update you later 😂
4:18 what this guy is talking about also happens on a platform called Roblox as well, those Ro-Basketball games have been able to rack in thousands of concurrent players consistently and they have been able to generate hundreds of millions of visits, despite not having NBA licensed content within those games. and those games aren't free either, the most one will cost is five bucks, but the developers end up making millions off of them because the games are good. just throwing this out there to inspire devs to compete with 2k

@@sewison7990if it’s free to play, I actually don’t mind in game purchases- the problem with 2k is you can spend literally 100 hours just to get 150Kvc which gets your player to like 80 overall on a good day - or spend 2 hours at your shift and buy your way
I think if the grind in the game, is more then 30XLonger then the grind on minimum wage salary to purchase the shit it should have to be legally labeled “pay to win”
Exaxtly. Segregation would be good here.
Ngl nba live needs to just steal the whole 2k17 and release it as a new game 🤣 just up the graphics a tiny bit
Do that 2k going bankrupt
@@fredrickwilliams7741 yea i hope live does this 😂
I don't care about the graphics anymore, I just want a playable NBA game.
@@RoyalJoshR yea ik ijs 2k17 graphics aren’t super great anymore but just a tiny improvement would be cool lol but overall they just need competition
2K16*
I’m what you could say is on the younger side and have been playing 2k for years but even I can see how horrible this is and it’s genuinely disgusting what they’re doing,I split about 50/50 of my time on 2k between rec and myteam and I was really looking forward to Friday in myteam and to pull stuff like that?
NO OTHER GAME DOES THIS
The moment they added the City to 2K I knew it was just downhill from there
Nah its a cool concept but lame asf.
The city is great
@@frankrizzo8799 it’s cool till you gotta take 15 minutes just to find a game
It's a huge scam they change the builder around every year and add new badges and animations so that you create one player just to find out you can't get this badge or animation and then incentivize you to make multiple new builds through rebirth to spend more money
I don’t even mind spending money. The problem is the price. On 2k16 I could make a complete build in under a week of grinding for only $20-$30 to max it out. Now it takes $200 just to max out one players
Not to mention the constant purchases of skill boost and Gatorade I don't use skill boost but you need Gatorade if you want to dribble a lot
I still play bo2/4 zombies wit the bros shit still fire to this day especially since I keep all my stuff
Its very true tht othe basketball games can exist. back in the day we had live and 2k + NBA Streets, NBA Ballers, And1, NBA Jam, NCAA. It can be done. ive been over 2k for years, theyre just the only basketball game out
EA better get to work. This is their chance to steal 2K players back. They don’t have to kill us with micro transactions because Madden already does that 😂
You ain’t lying ea got a chance 😂
I don't spend money on Madden lol
@@seaniveroni5579 ok. Hundreds of thousands of people do.
@@derrickstone4030 yea the content creators... but u don't have too it's not hard to get a nice team
2k got that NEW 2k FIFA Soccer DEAL....nba 2k25 got no TIME to be Working on the NEXT BASKetBALL game....its FEB 19 2024 ...and 2k said Nothing about the GREAT STUFF they putting into the NEXT.....they WILL RUN that GAME tehy Run with EVERY YEAR
I always wondered, how come 2K never let VC transfer over to newer versions?
Because at the release of every year, people buy the 250k vc pack to make a build. If vc transfer they wouldn't get all that profit from the release and buy of that vc.
Because they would miss out on like a billion dollars in vc purchases
Ah, thanks for the info guys
Appreciate the update. I haven't played since about November because the game is so stale and money-driven as always. Really hoping NBA Live gets resurrected somehow.
Vc prices are insane to upgrade a build & to buy clothes!!!
2k is in shambles
Wow this 2k just went down hill every season
Opting out seems like the wave but there will be no basketball game 😢
I don’t even play 2k anymore but have been keeping up with everything and it’s crazy
even nba live mobile allows you to transfer your coins from season to season
4:38 oddly enough this is what a lot of the GOOD roblox basketball games have been doing for years.
Finally seeing the light, shyt is inhumane
i remember loving nba playgrounds when i was younger, nothing like 2k just a super fun basketball game
That doodoo shirt nice as hell
Vc is definitely outrageous!!!
2K about to be the new NBALIVE when someone else drops street hoops vol.4
100 overall goes crazy
Wait so if you don’t agree to the terms you can’t play online?
This is why I my career my vc, it’s ridiculous how much vc you gotta spend just to get not only get overall but badges too.
Moreover, a new game could win on the multiplayer park and street ball with your own apartment GTA style, courts and fast matchmaking areas
I believe the mocap would take time, and since it's a sports game all custom code from the ground up, can't take assets it's not an FPS or Adventure game. About to load up Unreal Engine 5 and give it a go will update you later 😂
2k folks on some weird stuff, classic 😭
4:18 what this guy is talking about also happens on a platform called Roblox as well, those Ro-Basketball games have been able to rack in thousands of concurrent players consistently and they have been able to generate hundreds of millions of visits, despite not having NBA licensed content within those games. and those games aren't free either, the most one will cost is five bucks, but the developers end up making millions off of them because the games are good. just throwing this out there to inspire devs to compete with 2k
Just wait till GTA come out next year, 2K prolly gone go out business😂
Can't even share vc. Stopped playing 2K like a year ago. 2k22 was the last. Really enjoyed 2k17 was my first 2K game so. But 2K16 dope. Tried to play all of them. Don't want to rank em or what but the earlier 2K's from 2010 till 2K14 was very nice. Just a little master of the controls and buckets. Change came in 2K15 controls wise. But for me 2K17 was the peak. Park was dope. Rec. Mycareer. Blacktop with the the whole neighborhood offline multiplayer was crazy
I honestly quit 2K 2 Years ago, Started playing 2k11 blacktop and mycareer . I used to play Park, Stage, Playing Mountain Dew Tornys a lot but quit cause the game wasnt fun anymore. Dribbling Stop taking skill, people started using zens for shooting and lag switches for wins. Me as someone who was a little more than a casual player realized 2k was robbing me of my fun and money
I Doubt we would get old servers back to, cause look at cross play for example, it took them this long to add it and you still can't play on the same team as a XBOX player if your on PS5
So crazy, we are really watching the downfall of 2k 🤦🏼♂️😂 thanks for this video explanation badge
2k needs to add streak boosts in the park, theatre, rec/proam
Facts my sharp shooter was so good in 2k21 and I can’t even go back and play him anymore 😢
NCAA basketball with my park would lowkey be tuff
I was 6 man trickshotting on BO2 for like 5+ years. They definitely money hungry and they got no competition so they'll never care to make a good game
This was the first year I haven’t gotten 2k since 2012. Don’t regret it at all 😂
They have to recover from last month losses. 😂😂
I've been quitting 2k since 2k21. I own 24 but haven’t played since October. I'm done for sure.
Chicago cows is funny ☠️
I haven’t played nba 2k since 2k20. It’s sad to see such a great franchise slowly decay to such a degree. The community needs to stand against the mal practices of these video game companies.
you left at the perfect time.. 2k20 way better than 21,22,23,24
