What a wonderful story....I was drawn to this interview because I love horse racing & I have a girlfriend who raises, trains & races thoroughbreds here in AZ. I realized a lifelong dream when I went to the Kentucky Derby in 1968, the year that Dancer's Image won over Forward Pass, who was the favorite owned by the prominent Calumet Farm. Dancer's Image was disqualifed later because a post race test showed butazolidin, which is an anti-inflammatory & Churchill Downs had a rule that no horse could have that drug in it's system. The owner swore that Dancer's Image was not given any drugs whatsoever & there was some speculation because of who owned Forward Pass that there was something underhanded that went on to change the outcome of the race but who knows...it's hearsay. I so enjoyed hearing Mr. Winland's stories especially the one about Lafit Pincay & Bill Shoemaker..what a thrill that must have been to meet them & kinda be taken under their wings! And at the end, I was moved to tears when he spoke of his wonderful mother...God bless him & may she RIP...thank you Mark for bringing all of these interesting interviews to us.

Not gonna lie.. this guy could probably get a role in an action movie with the way he looks. He would probably need to stop acting so crazy, but then again, it’s Hollywood and all of them mfers are crazy so he fits right in. One thing I’m confused about is how he’s homeless and all but he looks so clean. Fresh haircut, decently looking clean clothes, doesn’t look dirty, neatly trimmed beard, etc. Is this guy for real homeless or is this just an actor you got to play as a homeless “crazy” man for views for your channel? This just isn’t your typical looking homeless guy.

Mark is a good man and how he gives is his choice. You can bet he knows the absolute joy in giving and helping others. But I watch this and I feel half that family is taking him. $150,000 is a lot of money. In another country for $4,000 we gave 7,000 pounds of food and a little money to those with very little, 200 of them (granted the distribution was done by members of extended family who volunteered). $4,000 could pay for a nursing degree in that country and raise that individual's family out of poverty for generations because their culture is that the one will lift the other's. I see how many could be helped and how their following generation could be helped just by helping one and somehow as hard as this is to say, this hurts to see how little all of Mark's effort has helped these people. This is why some prefer to help those in great need outside the United States who have less chance than even these people. I hope Mark continues his good works.

Dude I’m sorry but your life got very boring.

I love this, I grew up with an alcoholic father who was also suffering from depression and low self worth. I have came to realize this since becoming an adult & unfortunately he died of stomach cancer when I was 15 but looking back I feel for my dad and the hell he went through when he was a child. His father died of Polio when he was 14 and he ran away because my grandma was an extreme Jehovah’s Witness. So he never had a father figure either, he was just trying to maneuver through life as a young, broken man but he had such a pure kind soul who just struggled deeply. I would give almost anything to sit and talk to him now, I forgave him many years ago and miss him deeply 🤍

I smoked cigarettes for 34 years. I quit a year ago because I lost my Dad in 2018 from cigarettes and I lost my Mom in 2022 from cigarettes. They were both on oxygen for years. My grandma on my mom’s side died at 60 from cigarettes and my great grandmother died at 62 from cigarettes. My Mom was 73 when she passed. I watched my Mom and grandma take their last breath and I watched how miserable they were on oxygen. I quit for my health but I also quit because I need to break the cycle of not Dieing from cigarettes. I just hope it’s not too late for my lungs. I understand why these lady’s smoke. I used smoking for my stress but I never smoked in my house. I would not smoke with my kids in the house. I hope these ladies can stop smoking in the house with the little girl because it’s not good for her. My parents smoked in the house with us kids back in the 60s, 70s, an 80s that’s what most parents did back then because they didn’t know it was bad. I feel so bad for all the Trama they all have had in their life and I Hope nothing but the best for them all.
