Also for those that don't know, 105 days is an INCREDIBLY LONG TIME to be clean and sober. There is no such thing as "just a week sober" or "just a month sober" if you are an addict or an alcoholic.
Amen, one day clean is a miracle. Without that first day there is no recovery.
Facts
An alcoholic is an addict!
Preach. One day is amazing, if youve been doing it your whole life everydaym
"0ne day at a time sweet Jesus"..
For those that don't know, this is what a person in early recovery sounds like. Rooting for you Savannah! Don't let anything discourage you. You are not alone.

Came here to say this! And to say she needs to get away from familiar places! 100 days is nothing. Currently at 140 days and I know it’s nothing. Only made it this far cus I uprooted my whole life and moved to a new city where I don’t know anyone or where to get anything. Still need to consciously make the right choices daily. Keep going, you’re nowhere near done but you’re closer than you were 100 days ago ❤
“Some of the stores I got thrown out of, they give me free ice cream”
The first person to notice and congratulate me on my sobriety was the local pawn shop. He said, “it’s good to see you buying in here instead of selling something, you look healthy.” It was the greatest feeling
That's awesome!🙂
what a nice person, to compliment your changes, and well done you!
Some people we don’t even realise are silently praying and cheering for us, it’s lovely when voiced like that. Proud of you!
Congratulations on your sobriety ❤
Same here! I’ve been clean 18 years and I’ll never forget the man who worked at the 7-eleven in the neighborhood where I used to buy crack. He always encouraged me to quit and the day I came back to say hello after 3 months clean he was happier than some of my closest friends. He told me he never wanted to see me there again and wished me a long and happy sobriety ❤ he is forever engraved in my heart.
Mark in the beginning of the video when she asked for help to buy her certifications and work clothes "Yeah I'll take care of you. That's nothin." Mark, you are the best.
Mark is so generous I aspire to do the same when I have the money
Unh hunh. That’s why he chose to keep that part in the video.. He loves to let everyone know !
@@lauralei6963 Can’t imagine being so bitter that I don’t even appreciate when someone helps another person in need. Get better and do better.
@@ShiestyApe You don’t even recognize a Narcissist when u see one. Genuine people don’t feel the need to Broadcast their “good deeds”. Dummy.
@@lauralei6963I don’t agree on this one. It’s a real part of what it’s like. To be an addict, in recovery or not. And to be the one in that addicts life. I’ve been on both sides. Mark also gives so much because he is taking something too.
I've been off crack and alcohol for 3 years now. Not a easy habit to knock. you go girl!!❤❤
Congratulations!

Well done rachelle ❤. My son is a addict has a beautiful daughter im now bringing up. Done everything nothing works he just goes bk he is 40 we not seen him in over 6 years. But his daughter is such amazing young lady she is 11 now i got her when she was 4 .
Good work!
Thrilled for you.

Im thinking of starting, got any crack tips?
Alcohol is a Bitch. LEGAL AND GLAMORIZED.
💯
The worst I think and even more glamourised here i Ireland rural Ireland it is a bad romance as if no one has read Angela's Ashes! As a wife of one it is deadly and very romanticized here it is the bane of my existence begging for food daily and not drinking and living with the hangovers and no funds ... yes thank you for your comment!
Well put
You got that right!
I respectfully disagree. My parents are both in their mid 80's and very healthy and enjoy a few glasses of red wine during lunch/ dinner.
They've never been drunks or close to it.
And it's the same with me, I really enjoy a cold beer on a summer's day or wine with a lovely meal.
Drugs are about getting f#cked up. No one is doing crack for the taste🙄
So I see them as very different.
Can you abuse alcohol? Or course. And given it's widespread legal availability and consumption it's by FAR the most abused substance in existence.
But it's not inherently bad or even inherently bad for you in moderation.
It's not "evil" that's an utterly asinine thing to say.
I have a ton of respect for anyone that has the willpower to get sober. I am 4 years clean off Meth in May. Got divorced in 2015 and went straight to rock bottom spent 3 years living in hotels hustling to live. Did 30 days in jail an decided it was time to get right. It was a hard road that i walked alone. Today i have a great job my own apartment so it can happen. Wish her and anybody else trying to get sober the best
🙌🙏
Awesome job man ✌
Congrats 🎉
Well done!! I wish you all the best.
Congratulation🎉 remember if u ever feel alone, NA is there for you.
I can relate good luck to you! Turn to Jesus Christ He is the answer 🙏🏼 trust me! It gets easier, but tbh everyone has a rough day too!!! 🤍
I quit both cold turkey, both alcohol and drugs in 1986 for my family and a career.
I'm so happy for you!!! # Weoutthere 🙏🏼❤ ☮
The best reasons!
What a blessing that she is only 25. It took me until I was 47 years old to get clean now I am 50 and I have 3.5 years clean off of meth. I really hope she stays at it.
So happy for you! 💜
I'm 47 and want to want to quit. Looking hard for a reason or a replacement.
@@shineon_7660 You can do it !
you should get back on meth. Why quit?
You can’t be in a relationship with a user if you’re serious about being sober.. but you’re doing a great job..
God bless and good luck
Let’s be real she’s not that 1% that won’t relapse if she with an addict
Yeah. Everybody got to do their own research. Hopefully it isn't fatal.
And why would anyone want to be in a relationship with a user if you are in recovery ....
@@deerheart87because you love them. It's hard enough giving up using/drinking(a type of love). Throwing away all your personal and your romantic relationships can/will be as difficult so a lot of people do these things in sequence, not simultaneously. That usually means another relapse is needed and that's honestly totally fine because with each on you learn so much.
@@deerheart87bc addicts are co dependents and a partner to her (in this moment) is better than going at it alone. She also probably thinks she can help him, which is not true. But she’ll get there.
The VA helped me. 11 weeks in-patient and 6 months in a Halfway House. AA meetings daily. ( I was DEAD inside.) People have no idea how bad alcoholism is. 40 years.
I hope she never quits. Never stop growing. Never give up. NEVER stop working the program!
Hope she has a beautiful life!

Why mention her weight like that? Pretty sure the last thing she needs right now is someone making her feel fat.
I felt bad for her when he said that. Of course she put on weight. She isn't on crack anymore!!! Better left unsaid.
We went to school together we lived on the same street if your ever in NC you have atleast one friend here I'm so proud of you!
Wow she looks so much better from her first interview. Great job Savannah, keep it up girl! 👏👏👏💗
which Savannah is she i cant find or cant recognize her
I think she has 2 other videos? One with brown hair and one with winged eyeliner..
I don’t think she ever looked as bad as a lot of these people. She eventually will if she doesn’t stay sober. She is a pretty girl and very well spoken. She needs to get out of that hellhole of a place.
SHE'S ABSOLUTELY A HERO. You are doing wonderful ❤️ 😊
Yes she is!
Why mention she's put on weight with a slightly negative slant on it? Bit suspicious about her asking for money off the bat as well ...
Look great Savannah ….go girl…stay sober! You are worth it.
Ex alcoholic here. One of the best examples how system gives 0 Fs about peoples health and how everything is about profit and interest is the fact that alcohol is not classified as a schedule one drug.
Absolutely agree with you. I was addicted to amphetamines, benzodiazepines, weed and alcohol.
I realised that the accessibility plays a big role for the healing process.
And since I am from germany, alcohol consumption is pretty much common and normalised.
Looots of folks fail to view alcohol as a drug. And considering the effects of it, they have absolutely zero sense of the long term effects.
People who judged me and told me I was a lost cause (I agree with them based on the state I was in back then), drink 3-4 times a week and play it off casually like „Oh after work I usually enjoy just a couple of beers or some rum to take the edge off“, and it gets even more on the weekends.
That is normalised alcoholism, nothing can change my view on that by now. I‘m not even mad that I‘ve got shunned for my past actions, I‘m just saddened to see that so many people don’t seem to realise what addiction does to human beings.
Speaking from experience here too.
As long as humans will roam this world, there will be drugs too 100%.
But same as the weed decriminalisation/legalisation here in germany just now: 0 closure and awareness had been provided for the population, (laws seemed unorganised from day 1 anyways) but looots of money for the economy.
Don’t get me wrong I‘m happy weed got rid of it’s criminal status here, but if it get‘s as worse as alcohol, I dunno if either should be treated so lightly.
@@rikuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuWeed is much stronger than it was 20 years ago.
@@sunshine3914amen! I smelled it on a guy recently and told him to be careful walking around with lose joints as people could smell it. He only had some in a sealed container and that’s what I smelled. When you can smell it through a sealed container you know it’s strong.
@@sunshine3914 Weed doesn't make you miss work or shut down your kidneys, liver and heart with the quickness alcohol does. Attempting to quit on your own can literally kill you. It's a horrible nightmare of a hamster wheel. Alcohol is the worst drug on the planet IMO and it baffles me how it can be legal and sensationalized the way it is. it's wild to me.
Alcohol is the devil.
I have been thinking of Savannah and praying for her. Thank you for this update! If you are reading this Savannah...I miss you and you always have support in NC if you ever decide to come back. We are here for you.
She needs ti to go far away from Skid Row and all that people around her
100% agreed
Sending you prayers Savannah, as a sister in recovery of 42 years, I was 20 years old when I realized alcohol and pills were going to destroy me. Keep praying and working your program! ❤
She will never recover if she is staying in skid row and with a junkie boyfriend . Im just saying it how it is . I had to cut everyone out of my life who I used with or plugs etc . She’s making it a lot harder on herself . It’s like being in hell and wondering why it’s hot . I love the quote from trainspotting “I got addicted to running away instead”
"misery loves company" is another quote that comes to mind.
Small steps sometimes are big actions for some. She may not have resources to pay for a home!
I recommend clients break ties with those in addiction. Full stop. It is a dangerous tightrope.

One day at a time. I am sober since 2006 and don't gamble since 2019. I lost my life and rebuilt life again. You go girl!
I've been sober years but this gambling addiction is wicked
Congratulations!! My son 25 yrs old is an alcoholic whose been sober for 30 days and i know what you are going through. Keep your faith and stay with God cause he will help you and watch over you. You will be kept in prayers. God bless you 🙏🙏
Psychedelics did wonders in my life. Over the course of my life, I've suffered from uncontrollable, depression, anxiety, alcohol, smoking, and illicit pills addiction. Imagine carving heavy chains for a long time and then all of a sudden that burden is gone. This is something that really needs to be used globally to help people with similar health challenges. I've been sober for 6 years and have my life back.
Congrats on your recovery. Most people don't realize that psilocybin can be used as a miracle medication to save lives.
To be honest, mushrooms are one of the most amazing things on the planet and it is natural, they serve in many ways not only for mental related issues.
Can you help me with a reliable source? I have suffered from years of addiction, anxiety, and severe ptsd, thinking I got my panic attacks under control, they've come back with a vengeance, and I'm constantly trying to take full breaths but can't. It's absolutely crippling me, I'm in Switzerland and it is hard to get a reliable source here. Really need!
Yes, Sporeville. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction... Mushrooms definitely made a huge difference to why I'm clean today.
I wish they were readily available in my place.
Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He's 59 & has many mental health issues plus probably CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone.
He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD knows if it is common for an obsession with violence.
I would say the best thing for her is to be removed from her living space. It’s a huge factor for the road to sobriety. In many cases it would be a major gift for her. I have seen so many relapse out of that struggle.
With all the money allocated (supposedly) for housing in California, people like Savannah should be placed in supportive housing directly from rehab.
Hey Mark, This woman is on the right path but if she stays in that area it's not going to last. She needs to get out of there and disassociate herself from all the people in her life that are users... I know that sounds harsh but as someone who's gone through it it's the only thing that worked... it's hard, but she can do it, and most importantly she WANTS to do it.. that's the key.
Only a man would say ‘you look great… you put on a little weight…’ why add that comment? She is gorgeous! Amazing and strong - keep going beautiful girl!! ❤❤❤
Yeah wtf. Embarrassing.
Exactly what I thought! Do better Mark.
Mark you really need to be careful making comments like that sobriety is fragile dont add to the addictive triggers
No. Only a certain type of man.
Only a man would say it to your face. All you wonderful kind empathetic women would say it behind her back to your peer group/ mutual friends.
Good for her. I've been down this road but without a program. She's a very smart woman.
Not true my friend. You did have a program, it was just your program.
Great interview, thank you-Love❤and Prayers🙏always!
She said that she is in a relationship. She didn’t say that she had a boyfriend.
She has turned her life around in more ways than one. Good luck to her. She is still young and has a lot of life in front of her now.
Well said 👏🏻 ❤✌🏻

Savannah you're absolutely gorgeous! I admire you.
Some people might take Mark's comment that she gained weight as a negative, but it 1000% is not and I know he didn't mean it that way.
I have a friend that is so skinny. She barely eats. If she got off whatever she is on she would look so good.

One thing that bothers me every time he does it, is when Mark comments that people have gained weight. As someone in recovery, not only do we already know this, we really don't need to hear it. It's a bit insensitive. That's just my opinion, though.

Savannah you are amazing, im a addict alcohol and drugs, i am 15yrs sober from alcohol i have had a couple of relapses with drugs but i will never stop trying ,the only thing i am wary about is in recovery it says walk in dry places that means away from temptation and you do eventually have to change friends and places you go, i found one of the hardest things not stopping seeing the people etc but forming new friendships i realized i would in the past be way less decerning ,i am totally rooting for you hun you got this our maintaining a spiritual connection to God is the cornerstone to success xx

Happy to see she’s doing better than the last video. She looks great. 100 days is major. Congratulations. Wishing you happiness and respect 👊
My daughter is in her early 30s with 3 young daughters under 4 yrs old.
She drinks at night once the girls are all in bed asleep. She doesn't wipe herself out, but she does when her partner is home from work every 2 weeks.
She said it's the cravings for her that are the hardest.
She has tried everything. Cbd oil, AA meetings, just stopping etc. None of it worked for her. She only managed to go about a month at a time without drinking.
She is going on a Naltrexone program to help with that. She is really frightened that it won't work.
It's the last option she can think of.
She is also scared of how it may affect her babies. She did stop when she was pregnant etc. She is good like that. She needs some type of help, to help her get over the hump of cravings.
She is also a messy drunk, the type that messages and calls, no matter what the time.
She can't remember it, though, and that scares the heck out of her.
There's nothing that can change an alcoholic. You have to wanna stop. She has to actually want it.
Attending the meeting's are the biggest steps but getting a sponsor is the hard work. Addict's live life in denial and until they face reality and coincide with people who are dealing with the same thing they'll forever live in denial.
Super proud of her. Keep it up, I’d like to see more update vids of her.
AMAZING!!!! Keep working on you. Keep looking forward, be patient with yourself and love yourself! I have only seen you on camera however I feel so proud of you ❤
Well done on your efforts and accomplishments that got you where you are today💪🏼Stay Strong, all the best for you going forward 💗
She looks absolutely beautiful and radiant. It's amazing what getting sober does for someone! Keep up the good work!
yayyyy, ive been waiting for an update with savannah
Her story really touched me. Thank you for helping her SWU.
Do not comment on her weight unsolicited. Ever.
Don't comment about anything on anyone, ever, unless a form or a formal request is made prior to meeting.
Be sure to have such a request recorded or transferred to a SCII certified document with can be faxed to your local DMV. Make sure it's notorized by a ranking VII officer of the department of labor and statistics.
You will also have to bring three forms of identification and a 35 dollar non refundable fee.
If you are five minutes late, a fee of ten dollars will be added and you will have to appear before a judge, at which point you will choose a nursery rhyme to recite before the cast of sesame street.
Is that understood?
Why are you commenting on her weight?
Blessings And Good Health To You Always 😊

Great interview Mark. Congratulations on you 90 plus days Savannah. You look and are doing wonderful. One day at a time, i got 40 sober years. You can do it to. I did not think i could do the 90 meetings in 90 days, but my 90 th day sober was the happest day of my life. I finally found a place i fit in and belonged. Its greaf you are useing a sposer . I did not want one, especially a female, but was told if i wanted to get better, get one. I picked one that was solid AA. I was so blessed to have her. Early days are tough. She was always there for me. It was hard to let my walls down, but little by little i did. Your right about the fog in the head in the beginning. I only felt sade in the meetings. I hated when they were over and after every meeting i would get all the information and hope i needed from the old timmers there. 40 yrs later i still do what i did to get sober so it works if you work it. I make meetings, sponser women, stay away from people, places and things, i thank God each moring and thank him at night. Its really a simple program to work, if we dont complicate it. God bless you on this new journey Savannah. The world is yours if you stay clean and sober. Thank you for sharing with us.
