This 1974 Yan double is Steamboat's oldest remaining lift, after the removal of Priest Creek in 2021. This lift serves Mavericks Terrain Park, and is also the location of the Nastar Race Course. There are 62 chairs and 10 towers. Estimated speed is 438 fpm. The drive-tension station is located behind the loading area.

This Yan triple is actually the original Storm Peak Triple from 1983. It was shortened down by 2,000 feet in 1992 when Storm Peak Express was built. The former Four Points double was also removed, but ran in a different alignment. This lift is used to provide access to the Four Points restaurant a little more than halfway up Storm Peak. Steamboat's Bar-UE is a 1977 Yan double running from just below the Four Points lodge and ending next to the top of Storm Peak Express. This Garaventa-CTEC triple was installed in 1996 as part of another expansion, this time on the backside of the mountain. When this Doppelmayr Uni high-speed quad was installed in 1992, WJW was removed, and the original Storm Peak triple was shortened, now known as Four Points. The UPPER terminal of the 8-person Doppelmayr UNI-G gondola at Steamboat DOES have an exposed bullwheel. Note: We know that Steamboat also has the Wild Blue Gondola, a 10-person Doppelmayr D-Line gondola, especially because it appears in the background of the clips where you unload Sundown Express and where you show the lower terminal of the Bashor lift!

@@TwinSkiingLiftsRides I usually upload my videos in 4K and 60fps, so bear with me if they take a little while to upload (including editing the videos). I was in South Lake Tahoe recently, and I went to Heavenly Mountain for scenic summer lift rides (I obviously had my Epic Pass on me), and the lifts I recorded were the iconic gondola and the Tamarack Express detachable six pack. Note: I only use an actual GoPro mount on myself during the winter.
I missed the premiere of this video, but the best/craziest moments (in my opinion of course) are the double startup on the Summit at Whitefish, the winds on Three Bears and the summit of Tucker Mountain at Copper Mountain, the winds at the top of the Lazy J Rope Tow at Arapahoe Basin, the automatic locking bars on Greenhorn Ranch Express at Steamboat. I also liked seeing Storm Peak Express and Sundown Express lifts in this video.

In the summer, unloading at Deer Point's top terminal feels like a launchpad because after the chair detaches, it speeds up for a minute as you approach the deck. It allows you to feel like you're launching off the chair, really fun!
Never had that experience yet, but I bet it feels weird.

@@DeltaChairlifts5 Steamboat hasn’t announced anything yet, so I’m not sure if that’s confirmed. Maybe they’ll say something in the fall like Copper did with Timberline.

Silver Lake at Deer Valley looks very likely to be replaced in 2025 by the first stage of a gondola to Park Peak (not Bald Mtn; Sterling will remain) and then to the new East Village as part of it’s Expanded Excellence Plan

man i hate how some bars have so many of those stick things. like a few are enough if you want to separate people.
@@parakeet6916 These stick things keep younger children from slipping through the chair. By far one of the safest safety bar designs I’ve seen.
You got a cat, that's sick!! Only 3 lifts I've recorded are getting removed this season. Coach, Bitterroot and Seattle Ridge.
@@idahoskilifts4242 I only added in Mer de Glace because it ran during summer 2023, but technically three recorded lifts on my end were removed this year. Also, I’ve had my cat a lot longer than I had this channel 😂

In the quiz with this lift being the correct answer, my mum was thinking it was Panoramic Express at Winter Park because of the chair spacing to be honest.
@@BowserHasFun Main differences are that this lift doesn’t have footrests and it originally had closer chair spacing before the realignment.

Set to open in December 2024, Madison 8 will nearly double uphill capacity out of the Madison Base, reduce ride time by 30%, and continue to add value to the Big Sky experience for years to come. The lift name and brand mark are inspired by the journey of the northern exposure ecosystem, where ski turns define the winter landscape, and the snowmelt makes its way to the Madison River in the spring. The new eight-place lift will effectively double the uphill capacity while reducing ride time, offering guests swift and comfortable access to Big Sky Resort’s north side terrain from the Madison Base Area. Madison 8 will also set a new record globally as the longest eight-place installation in the world. This new lift even trumps hunter Mtn messily install their 3rd 6 pack chairlift which is Not even close to Big Sky who now has (2) 8 packs and (3) 6 packs all D-Line Bubble Lifts. Makes Big Sky Resort The Biggest And Best Ski Resort In North America Skiing ⛷️.Along With Full Bragging Rights And Being Entered Into The Guinness Book of World 🌎 Records As Being The Longest 8 Pack Chairlift In The World 🌎!

In my opinion, the craziest parts of the video were the parts with high winds, especially when you got wind held on Three Bears at Copper Mountain.
