Massanutten, VA: Peak Express #6 - Summer Ride Up

Another summer chairlift ride!
The Peak Express was Massanutten's first high-speed lift, and is a Doppelmayr Uni-G high-speed quad installed in 2023. It replaced a Borvig fixed-grip quad which was reinstalled at Holiday Mountain, NY, in 2024. This lift serves the most advanced ski trails in the winter and the most advanced bike trails in the summer. In the summer, every other chair has bike carriers for up to two bikes, and you CAN ride the chairs with the bike carriers on the back of the chair, unlike Creekside. The lift also runs slower in the summer, which is about 570 fpm in this recording. The lift also has 60 chairs and 10 towers.

This was the first time I ever rode a detachable chairlift in the summer.
