Steamboat, CO: Mahogany Ridge Express

This Leitner-Poma LPA high-speed quad was installed in 2023, and it opened up 650 acres of new expert terrain in January 2024. This was also Steamboat's first LPA lift. This expansion was opened for Phase 3 of Steamboat's Full Steam Ahead project. To get to this area, you will need to ride Pony Express, then you can take Middle Rib to Outlaw or Fairway to Edge of the World. There are also double-black glades, cliffs, and gullies in Fish Creek Canyon, which require a hike to get out of and back to the lift. Also, know before you go, because many of the features are difficult and treacherous, outside of Edge of the World and some of the terrain accessible from Pony Express. The lift also runs really fast for an experts only lift. There are 103 chairs and 22 towers. Capacity looks to be 1800 pph based on the chair spacing. The speed in this video is about 956 fpm.
