    I only really criticise the way people bashed the game based off of unsubstantiated claims and flimsy evidence against the devs. We live in a time where people think coming online and bashing "bad" people automatically makes them a good person. Asides that the game is VERY flawed. Don't get me wrong, I think it's fun when you learn how to handle it's jank (like most Sonic games) but the main issue is a lack of automation in combination with the sky diving mechanic that sends you flying to cheap deaths which is lack of level design and mechanic cohesion. People said it was a bad story but I thought it was really good, Exiled whilst not having much screen time is a very understandable villain. He got sent to an unknown world and couldn't go back to his home world without destroying the one which he was on. He then decides to give up and help Chris to make a better world on Earth but unfortunately he died before he got to see that and the world continued in its violent and destructive ways. The death of Chris made him question why he should sacrifices being away from his family and home land to help a world that doesn't want to be saved. It's a very intriguing character arc. That's all I have to say on the game, even if some of the developers are supposedly bad people doesn't mean everything about the game is bad.

    • @AustinTatious02
      @AustinTatious02 Před dnem

      Yeah I agree with you on the hate of this game, it got way too much flack from people I'm sure who didnt even know what they were talking about, but it's funny I have almost reversed feelings about the game where I loved alot of what they did for the gameplay, but wasn't a big fan of the story.

  • @emperorvader283
    @emperorvader283 Před 12 dny

    This makes the “I always come back” a little more digestible. One of Fnaf’s greatest weaknesses is the fact that it tells good and interesting stories, but only if you view them from the right perspective, which no single person has.

    • @AustinTatious02
      @AustinTatious02 Před 12 dny

      I think FNAF has a story that will never be fully linear always leading to interpretations, so I do think the only way to truly enjoy it is to find the ones you enjoy. Cause as it stands there is a lot that we will probably never get straight answers to, but thats also why if you can't find the story you like, you should create it cause many others are going to be in the same boat as you!

    • @emperorvader283

      @@AustinTatious02ive been binging a lot of theories and I noticed that Mat and John are good at finding clues, whilst Mat can also find the implied story, whilst ID can pick up on what Mat and John miss, such as in her sticky note room video. And Dual Process is able to bring a fresh perspective to what most people already consider to be true, despite not necessarily lining up.

    • @emperorvader283
      @emperorvader283 Před 12 dny

      @@AustinTatious02I firmly believe that if you force all the big theorists into a house and tell them they have to coexist until they solve Fnaf, then they could do it. My point is solving Fnaf was never supposed to be a sole project, but a Theory gradually built upon, debunked, and rebuilt by the community, specifically the most inquisitive, open minded and fresh minded, but most of the big theorists become like MatPat (even if their opinions differ slightly, or a lot,) more and more until they can't see anything other than their perspective anymore.

    • @AustinTatious02
      @AustinTatious02 Před 12 dny

      @emperorvader283 yeah, I feel like there are alot of perspectives and I think it becomes damaging when people get to connected to their own interpretation. Such as mine for instance, one problem I ran into after the upload is realizing the Steve snoddgrass was hired to make the games which would have most likely been after fnaf 6, so that immediately creates an issue and if I didn't acknowledge it, it would create issues in trying to discover a true timeline. People need to realize that no interpretation will be 100% but that doesnt mean an entire theory needs to be written off or that the games need to be blamed for having retcons. It just means there is more to work on and if people could come together to discuss these things without getting defensive on where their story is weaker than we would probably have come to alot more discoveries altogether.

      Personally, I think it's about the intent. And I'm not advocating for the use of the language. But My issues is with it going too far. Thats my huge issue with cancel culture. But something like slurs can be hard to share an opinion on because I haven't had to deal with them the same way a person it'd be directed at would and so I can't say I can fully understand or comprehend how a person feels hearing it used against them. Which is why I'm all for people expressing how they feel and distancing themselves from those creators they can't support anymore, but I can't find myself siding with the idea of cancel culture and the tendency to go to far.

      @@AustinTatious02 Let me set the stage with a fact. FNAF 1's location is the ONLY time in the whole series where Guards being murdered at night by animatronics was a regular occurrence. It's easy to forget that as it was the first game in the series, but it's true. FNAF 2's location only ever had 3 guards. The first guy was William and he got out after a Week. Second guy was Jeremy who survived the Nightshift(but probably got his frontal lobe nibbled off on the following Dayshift), and the Third Guy was Fritz who is probably Micheal. There's also some notable revelations here I'll get back to in a minute. FNAF 3, one guard, probably Micheal(though some fringe theorists think it's Henry), they live. FNAF 4, no guards. FNAF SL...this one is actually kind of hard to say, FNAF 6, one guard, Micheal, dies but not because of animatronics. FNAF 2 also establishes via Phone Guy that this is the first time this sort of thing has ever happened. Guard 1's reports were thought of as impossible and it's only during Jeremy's week they start to figure out a theory(the bare endoskeleton thing) and offer up some solutions. This tells us the original location that was open for a bit after the murders either didn't have nightguards(makes sense enough, no big crime, no need) or the Puppet hadn't gotten to them yet. It also tells us Guard fatalities are something they're actively trying to avoid. But in FNAF 1? There's a whole procedure for it. Body removed, property cleaned and bleached, carpets replaced, missing person report within 90 days. A institutional solution for it combined with Phone Guy's "Most people don't last this long" implies MANY guards at this location have come and perished before Micheal arrives in 92/93(doesn't matter, but TLDR 93 has never been proven. Matpat picked it because of the Aurora Chuck E Cheese incident, the tax data said it could be anywhere from 1991-1996, and the Faz Fact that referenced it was cut and might not be canon. But that would have the work week go from Tuesday to Monday which is stupid. Meanwhile in 1992 the November dates line up perfectly with the work week. Minor detail, worth mentioning though). This means that not only have a ton of guards died, but there's a procedure for it, meaning the company is both aware and doesn't care. But why? This isn't hugely profitable 2030s Fazbear entertainment sweeping a few missing kids and staff under the rug, this is 1990s floundering Fazbear. Why waste so much many dealing with dozens of dead guards...unless...gathering dead guards is the goal. Let me ask another question. Who is running the show in the 1990s? Henry is out the timeline from the mid 80s until right before FNAF 6, maybe he's hiding in guilt, heck, I personally buy the theory he was framed(explaining the newspaper clipping saying the suspect was convicted) and spent a couple decades in jail, starting on the FNAF 6 project right after getting out. But even if he was here, Henry would never allow any of this to happen. And I already explained above why the faceless corporate overlord types, or even Miss Afton if you wanna bring that up, wouldn't do this. The profit motive isn't there. The location is a crumbling mess and the cleanup procedure is massive and expensive. That only leaves our boy William Afton, who is alive at this point, was free as recently as 1987, and we have zero evidence he was charged for the DCI/SAVE THEM incident. William Afton was running the FNAF 1 location and funding the cleanups of stuffed, dead, guards. But why? Well, for years the fandom has talked of William doing remnant experiments, soul experiments, maybe even agony experiments. That's how we get the theory the original 5 souls may have ended up in Funtime Freddy and Ballora and eventually in Molten Freddy and The Blob. But would William really have stuck to the same handful of souls, especially as he seemingly didn't want to mess with his daughter? Why not get a larger sample size, recreate the suffering? But kids are too risky to go after, he's done that twice and gotten away by the skin of his teeth. People care about kids, but what about poor working class blokes? Transients? People no one would notice if they suddenly were to vanish. I'm of the belief the FNAF 1 location, Bear themed restaurant and all, is a honey pot. It's a trap. It would certainly explain things like the door design and power supply. Transients, Desperate people, poor workers down on their luck, read a newspaper ad, dead in a few days, stuffed and ready for testing. This theory predates the Movie, but the Movie absolutely backs it up with him encouraging people to take the job. The location may have closed in 92/93, but the FNAF 2 ending and Phone Guy lines suggest it may have opened up far sooner than that, within a year of the FNAF 2 location closing. Dozens of men could have died there before the place finally closed at 'years end' a few weeks after Micheals run. And seemingly it didn't work. Maybe because the suffering wasn't enough. Maybe these men lacked the hope to hold on that the kids did, drained by a terrible life prior. Or maybe it's simply because The Puppet had cottoned on and wasn't going to help bring anyone back. Not anymore.(We know they were at the FNAF 1 location, both from the timeline and the FNAF 2 cutscenes, yet we never see them. Curious). So eventually as the place shut down William decided to take a closer look at the originals. Break them up, study their bits, perhaps reuse them. What made them special? And it would explain why that original remnant kept being re-used, the circumstances were specific and it was so hard to get more. They were no longer needed as unintentional killers. And Sister Location? Which most people place next to FNAF 1 in the timeline(either before or after depends). While it's not as blatant, it's the only other location with HINTS of prior guard fatalities. Plus the two technitions. Curious then this is the one place we know was fully a William operation. That's the main theory. All above. FNAF 1 location is a trap to lure in guards to get stuffed and use for remnant experiments. It didn't work, so William eventually scrapped the animatronics to study directly after it closed.

      @@AustinTatious02 Ok, here's the bit of a stretch part. Phone Guy. The eternal enigma. Leading candidate to be the Purple Guy for over a year. We know he was innocent, and in hindsight it was kind of obvious from the start(The FNAF 2 phonecalls very clearly tell us it's the Dayshift Guard/Former Nightguars, and they aren't the same person as Phone Guy. Heck they trick Phone Guy). But he's definitely sketchy. He helps hide what's going on in the FNAF 2 location, covers up Springsuit fatalities, organizes the saferooms being sealed, and knows very well what's happening to all the guards at the FNAF 1 location. He's not a killer, but he is a diehard company loyalist who has been complicit in and helped cover up numerous crimes. Bit of a toadie. And we also have evidence William has blackmailed and threatened people more than once. He got the Funtime Designs past those execs who knew what they were for. SOMEONE was arrested in the 80s for the MCI and it clearly wasn't him. (Henry is the prime theory as it explains a bunch of other things, but back in the day a popular option was 'the guy in the foxy costume from Foxy Go Go' or 'One of the other bullies from Fnaf 4). This coo-coo banana pants theory is that Phone Guy was essentially strong-armed into being William's igor and right hand man in running the FNAF 1 location, handling the logistics of the new hires and managing the clean ups. Phone Guy is a toadie to start with(as shown above) and William could easily threaten to either frame him for the DCI/Save Them, or just leak all the audio of Phone Guy covering up various deaths on behalf of Fazbear over the years(probably edited to relieve William of any blame). The tapes were in the same room as Springbonnie, he has access to them. That would explain why Phone Guy, while not being THE killer, is clearly involved in so much nasty business. Toadie to William to the end, especially when being credibly threatened. It would also explain why in FNAF 1, despite towing the line and never fully telling you to 'leave and never come back' or something sensible like that, he does TRY to give subtle hints to either help you out or warn out without crossing the line. His previous deeds were very impersonal and detatched, he was the middleman, not the cause. Now he's directly involved like never before, he can't write off the blame in his mind anymore, "only following orders" is a lot harder when you're there in person and leading people to their deaths directly. (BTW, great title for a Phone Guy theory video. Only Following Orders). So he's trying desperately to get some warnings out in-between dismissing them and legal jargon and lying to you about the cause of the malfunction. This would also explain his fate. While Phone Guy had nominally been a guard since the place opened(as indicated by his FNAF 2 dialogue), it was obviously more of a training role, head guard, served only on paper in a lot of ways. He wasn't doing it weekly for all those years. But I'm guessing his disobediance and evidence of trying to sneak out warnings eventually came to Williams attention. Which combined with the fact all the Stuffed Guards were not working out in the experiments and William was probably getting angry...he sent Phone Guy to do things in person, and ensured he'd never come back. Phone Guy has a single line of dialogue never featured in any game. From the opening of the FNAF 2 trailer. "Well if you're hearing this then, chances are you've made a very poor career choice." Almost like it was never allowed out. Maybe this was what William found that finally broke the camels back? Heck if you really want to get crazy you could say Phone Guy's death is what finally prompted the place to close 'by years end'(so right before the X-Mas holidays in either December 92 or 93), as without him William couldn't manage the logistics anymore, thus he resorted to utterly destroying the originals for further testing until he eventually got himself into a position to be killed(whenever that was, probably 1994ish). Maybe that's also why Micheal showed up then and specifically then. William probably would have told Phone Guy to on no uncertain terms keep out any weird smelly guys who looked remotely like his son(especially if this is after the events of Sister Location which I think is the common idea now.), but in the chaos with him gone he could easily slip through the cracks. There aren't a lot of people both morally dubious enough to do this and that William has enough dirt on to keep loyal, really just Micheal who's already gone rogue at this point. Plus it fits tonally. It's another example of William's poor choices ruining his plans, he killed one of the only two people he could realistically control because they were getting uncomfortable at the mass murder. Plus Phone Guy's punishment is fitting. A painful death, but not full blown fires of hell like Willy got. There are flaws and stretches(the whole phone guy side of things). The two most common complaints I've heard are "William never ran the FNAF 1 location" and "Henry was never framed." The latter isn't really important to the main theory other than helping eliminate Henry as an owner(and there are other ways to do that), and even in the crazier Phone Guy sub-theory still works fine as long as SOMEONE had been framed in the past(which 100% happened, someone was convicted for the MCI) and even WITHOUT ANY FRAMING, it still probably works because we know for 100% William had access to incriminating tapes. They were in the safe room next to Springbonnie. The former is...well I do sort of get the sentiment, we know William seemingly wasn't super involved in the FNAF 2 location at least directly. But I have to ask, ok, who is running it then? Who else has a motive to allow this sort of mass guard death to occur? Henry sure doesn't, Micheal doesn't, and a faceless corporate entity without morals ala the ones running the Pizzaplex would see the income-spending graph and just torch the building for the insurance. You cover up deaths when you have a successful thriving operation, you don't spend thousands doing it on a failing crumbling restaurant that's dumb. No one else makes sense, BUT William. And experiments are the best motive given, AT THE LATEST, he learned about what was going on with the animatronics in 87 after Save Them and his Nightshift work, and possibly earlier. He absolutely was working on this stuff by the early 90s. And the movie thing backs it up, parallels between things in this franchise date back to the novels. The theory predates the movie, my version predates the movie by a good year(and it's based on older versions by people like BlackFootFerret, though his was a lot more crazy and tied to his other crazy theories...that guy's theories are nuts, but he had a weird trend of getting specific details right WAY ahead of time. He predicted mad science and soul harvesting and the company being run by a duo all the way back in FNAF 3, and predicted both souls being split into multiple suits and two souls sharing a suit right after FNAF 4. He also predicted Afton chasing immortality around this time.). Afton in the movie IS baiting people into taking the job for his own purposes with the goal of getting them killed. Sure in the movie it's for a more simplistic goal of 'more murder', but in the games his goals are more complex so the game equivalent would be more complex. And in the movie he fills both the role of himself and Phone Guy in the games, so a game equivalent would likely involve both of them.

      @@AustinTatious02 Considering you're the only FNAF theorist I've heard connect VANNI to the Flipside, I hope to see that as a video one day! As for my William theory... bear with me, it's really vibes based and incredibly long. The Setup: Fallfest had canonical appearances in 1970 and 1983 The FNAF 4 house can be seen on a hill overlooking the Fallfest 1983 A car that has purple aesthetics similar to the purple car of Midnight Motorist and Later That Night is there Fallfest (as of 1983) seems to be a Carnival consisting of a barn (HW1 and HW2), a Carousal (HW2), and a Shooting Gallery (HW2) Mystic Hippo and Carnie also fit the carnival theme (as fortune tellers were popular in carnivals and carnies... well, obvious), and both have Henry's animatronic hinged design. Adjacently, several of the subtitles mention a 'Carnival Nurse' as well in the Patch game of HW2 Glitchtrap seems to be a handsewn costume that is implied to be William Afton's first official Spring Bonnie costume Fredbear singing show was a thing in 1930's, with a dancing bear that would be around in Carnivals Mrs. Afton has never been seen in-game or stories, barring the STAFF bot recreation in Security Breach (where she sits at the head of the table and William Afton looks like he's dressed as a carnival ring master), and possibly is represented by Clara in Immortal and the Restless, as well as maybe Balora. Balora has the appearance of a Ballet Dancer, who also did tight-rope stunts in circuses and carnivals. Clara sets her and Vlad's house on fire when she grows sick of Vlad's lies The fire that hits the Carousal starts at the barn of Fallfest 1983 (and may be tied to the Shooting Gallery also going up in flames) Charlie and Crying Child are both implied to have died in 1983 William Afton is British (I promise this will matter) The Theory: In 1930's USA, Fallfest has become a yearly tradition in Hurricane, Utah, headed by an average midwestern family who were popular in the town. This Fallfest included Fredbear, the dancing bear. This carnival would take place on their family farm, and included games in their own barn. Fallfest was being run by Mrs. Afton’s family (before she was an Afton, so I refer to her as Clara for convenience) for generations, possibly since the 1930’s with the Fredbear singing show, with her also doing ballet tight-rope performances (assuming she's based on Ballora). Henry Emily was working as an engineer for the carnival attractions, likely creating Carny and Mystic Hippo, alongside the musical melodies and Fazband. William Afton was a British man who immigrated to the US to pursue the entertainment industry (hence why all his children grew up with British accents). He would help Henry create the characters of the musical melodies, mascot outfits, pring Bonnie and Fredbear, and the Fazbear characters (who we see eventually play at Fallfest 1983 according to the HW2 crane game). Which comes to Carnival Nurse. It’s interesting that she is... well, a carnival nurse, in the Pizzeria Simulator location. In a game mode that has carnival themed characters (Lefty is just reskinned Carnie, Pig Patch is a musical melody member of the Carnival, and Scrapbaby is a clown, and we know that William Afton built two businesses based on circuses). It’s also interesting that we don’t actually know what William Afton was doing in the UK before he moved to the US. I say he came to the US because he wanted to enter the entertainment industry… but what if that wasn’t what he was doing before? Gibi postulates that William Afton only thought about the mysteries of the human body after studying yoga gurus that were mentioned in FNAF 1 in hidden sounds, which is where he learned about the idea of combining metal and flesh for remnant. I don’t disagree… but I think William has ALWAYS been interested in the human body. What if he was a medical professional in the Uk and used his talents here? Because, beyond working as a Mascot performer and businessman with Henry and Clara, William could possibly have been a nurse or doctor AT the Fallfest Carnival. It makes a certain amount of sense for how he became a genius with experimenting on children, not just in stuffing them into suits, but in creating technology that targets their minds (nightmare experiments) and in trying to recreate human physiology (Sister Location faces we see in the main room). We always assumed his experiments started with his own kids, but what if he actually took an interest in the kids whom Helpy represents? The injured ones who were sent to his medical tent. The carnival nurse voice lines are very interesting, because they are all easy ways for William to pick up unsuspecting children to experiment on. What is even more damning is that these injured children actually stop being “injured” at some point: general neglect, parental neglect, and “unclassified trauma”. What does THAT mean? Unclassified trauma??? What I think it means is that William slowly went from treating injured children to grabbing and sedating any child who was vulnerable with the 1970’s equivalent of the gas mask we see in Help Wanted 2, possibly just outright grabbing a kid who was alone in the case of “unclassified trauma”. Possibly as his Spring Bonnie mascot character… But why? I don't believe it was to murder them. There has never been any mention of murders or disappearances at Fallfest. The only real notoriety seems to be that in 1983, the Fallfest Carnival burned down (which I believe may have been Mrs. Afton's doing, possibly by accident, based on Clara from Immortal and the Restless + the fire seeming to start from the barn in HW2 when you zoom out of the carousel). No, what I believe is that William was using these children for something that would haunt (pun intended) the franchise for decades to come: Human Emotion and Reality. We know from the Silver Eyes Novels and the Tales from the Pizzaplex Novels that each iteration of William Afton has a focus on messing with the mental faculties of human beings. The Silver Eyes has the Sound Illusion Discs, devices built to use sound to mess with the information that the human brain receives. Tales from the Pizzaplex has Nightmare Gas, some kind of gaseous concoction that creates terrifying illusions that alter the appearance of not only one's surroundings, but their own body as well. Even the recent Steelwool games has a focus on the VR/AR (possibly flipside) reality network, where phones for Special Delivery and VR/AR masks can allow people to see a remnant and a fake reality (or possibly what it truly looks like under the surface). And while it's might not directly be William's creation - though HW1 DLC seems to have Vanessa conversing with William/Mimic/Glitchtrap/All of the above - it is most certainly a Fazbear creation, and we know they like to crib things from Henry and William's designs (see: stomach hatches and Nightmarionette). And we know from the original Scotts games that Micheal Afton (and possibly the Crying Child) were forced to endure Nightmare Experiments from William himself. Alright, so William was always some evil asshole who was obsessed with fear and tormenting children? Well, no. Not the fear part at least. I often think back to the Fredbear suit telling William in a mocking tone about, 'There was more fantasy and fun where I came from!', which reminded me of the Fazbear company slogan: 'Where fantasy and fun, come to life!' I do think that William as a serial killer wanted to bring the fantasy aspect to life, but William the performer? Someone who wanted his family and friends to thrive in the business world? I believe that William Afton was using these children - injured and not - as a means of trying to figure out how to artificially create happiness. If he could harness Fun and make it so that every child was a return, then he would conquer the entertainment industry. Insane? Absolutely. In character? Probably! William Afton likely had some inspiration of Diary of a Yogi - which I mentioned in part 2 of the theory - and could have believed in the concept of actual 'life-force', which means that emotion (Fun and later Fear... or Agony) was a manipulatable source he could access. It's even possible that while the above - him wanting to pull a Monster Inc on Fun to build up the Fazbear business - isn't completely correct... I do think it's true that he would use these "injured" children to study life-force in order to bring back the Crying Child. The same child that died in the same year of Fallfest 1983, the same year that the Carnival Burned down, just like Clara burned down Vlad's house. The same Carnival that had IT'S ME hidden inside the Barn, almost as if a spirit was gaining strength and wanting to be found... and everything went wrong.

But to think of William being the founder of the 30s is a bit hard for me to wrap my head around because then that means if he moved to hurricane when he was let's say 20, then it makes him 75 in 1985 when the MCI is slated to happen. Which isn't impossible, but it does seem a bit more improbable. I think the theory is good though, I just think there might be more to fallfest than we've been given information on. Golden Freddy manifested FNAF World as a purgatorial dimension, a safe haven for lost souls, whom now believe they are animatronics. The 8-bit minigames throughout the series are being played on haunted arcade machines, serving as windows to Golden Freddy's purgatory. Sometimes it depicts a past event and sometimes the player is helping guide a spirit towards a goal. This purgatory has layers, with the topmost layer overlapping reality. Descending the layers brings you to Old Man Consequences, whom I believe is FoxyBro. That is his penance for the prank he pulled. I honestly can't imagine who else it would be, if it is meant to be anyone from the previous games. I know most people will disagree with me and cite the books and Steel Wool games, but I only care about the context of when the game was made and how it relates to the previous games.

      That's an interesting take, but limiting yourself by the game and what came before it kinda hinders what you can do. It is commonly known that 1-4 were built game by game to correct past mistakes and add onto the story. But Fnaf World is interesting because it is a bridge between the self contained stories of 1-4 to when Scott had realized the bigger scope the games were going with sister location and the books. And then with all of the references we are still getting from the games that link back to fnaf world, it brings up the question of has anyone even solved this title? Like do we have all the pieces of this puzzle or is there more to be unveiled. Again you've got a good theory, but I hope you'd find yourself more open to what could be!

Also the baobab tree you pointed out isn’t a tree, it’s a curtain. That big round room is actually Rockstar Row (where the animatronics rooms are) and one of the level 10 security doors would’ve led to a backstage area before it was cut from the game. This could be wrong, but wasn't Eleanor trapped in a bad memory at the end of Fazbear Frights? The Baby we see in FNAF World appears after it's creator kills himself. A bad memory. A bad memory where it's creator regrets creating it. It makes sense. Why would Eleanor have a bad memory? Maybe that's the only bad memory she has. It's creator ending his own life because of her. Which also explains why he kills himself. He realises what kind of monster Eleanor/Baby is, so in regret he ends his own life. As far as we know it can't be William or Henry, who are both still alive as of FFPS. So, what if it isn't our Baby, what if it isn't Elizabeth. What if it's Eleanor instead. That also explains the Baby plushies in Security Breach and Ruin. She's in the system trying to escape. Just like Glitchtrap. That's also why she was teased in Fury's Rage. She might have escaped with the help of Vanny. As far as we know though, she's still trapped in the bad memory, for now. I think things from FNAF World are leaking into the "real world". I don't have any problems with any of the Security Breach designs, they are a different take on the franchise, a breath of fresh air, a unique era. That's all fine and better than recycling old ideas ( *ekhem* afton getting revived again *ekhem* ) My problem is this 4:32 undermining or recontextualising the original games by new authors it's something that Disney did with Star Wars and it is the thing that turns people off from a franchise Subpar content doesn't bother people so long as it doesn't affect the original, beloved content. It is when their rot affects the original when we start having problems, like reviving Palpatine. I'm going off topic here as Security Breach is not "rot", but the idea of devaluing the entirety of the original franchise as games within THEIR new game is an atrocious suggestion

    • @AustinTatious02
      @AustinTatious02 Před měsícem

      I understand this sentiment but I personally believe that it's a bit more nuanced then that. Scott's development of the games wasn't a premeditated string of events, the games up to the fourth were all made to fix, clarify, or add on something from a previous title, like the famous fnaf 3 wasn't scary, so I made fnaf 4. We wouldn't have gotten to this grand design until sister location, or what I argue to be fnaf world. But now you have these games that while have a direction, wasn't made for the grand direction, so you run into issues like the timeline. Such as fnaf 3 happening 30 years after putting it into 2023. Which with fnaf ar needing to happen after but having email dates from the 2020s conflicts with any cohesive timeline. So I don't think Steel Wool is actively writing away Scott's work. We know that the creator was forced to create them to cover up the actual events as some kind of joke, so the I'm game "games" reasoning is more based around fixing those issues of Scott's titles that didn't work for cohesion, as so far we haven't had anything that's disproved the events of the fnaf series, but hints at the timeline of the series

Though I didn't get the same impression as you did back when I listened to it, but like I said, I will refresh my memory

      Glad to see this much passion for the game regardless! Watching the characters on the posters change one by one was one of the moet exciting events I've witnessed as a kid, I remember running back home from my backyard around the afternoon to see if the new character dropped! It was such an exciting mystery to me
