I would like that, but im holding out for a complete remake! Something done in house from sega and not just given to some other studio to mess it up
I've been able to play the original Dreamcast version of Sonic Adventure because when I was a kid under age 10, my parents bought me a copy of it along with that console, and I've kept both of those products. Back then during summertime I was playing it in turns with 2 male friends and had a lot of fun doing that. In my adulthood this one, it's sequel game SA2 ( I kept the original version of that game too along with the GameCube port of it ) and the newly made Frontiers one are from what I can think of, my 3 favorite Sonic games. It's no doubt that each of those games have a well written main theme song, and I've been a Sonic fan ever since the toddler months of my life.
Thank you for sharing! I was gifted a dreamcast a couple years ago with the original sonic adventure, however the console stopped working before I could finish it. I also played the original version through emulation and at the time that was the best version I've played. The original is alot better of an experience and I'm glad I got to play it in some way before starting this series! When it comes to my too 3 games though, it'd have to be sonic adventure, Generations and Frontiers. I have so much time in those games and they bring alot of good memories with them. When it comes to sa2 the game is fun but I've only ever played it once
I never had a console to play Sonic Generations, so this upcoming Sonic X Shadow version will be my first try to do that.

I finished Adventure earlier and its a solid A-tier for me.
It really is! I'm up to knuckles in the series. And honestly, I've been having a blast

Exactly! Only Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 on the Sega Dreamcast are actually worth it. I got mine in 1999, when the Dreamcast released in North America. 🙌🏿

I would love to play the actual original just to experience it, but my dreamcast doesn't display colors correctly and I don't know how to fix it sadly

You used the Dreamcast character models but not the Dreamcast conversion mod?
Yeah during the making of this and the second video I hadn't seen the what the conversions looked like, so I thought I had it all set up. Trust me in the third part of this series, I fixed it and I was not happy.
Hate to break it to you but you arent playing the definitive version of sa1, the only thing you seen to have installed correctly are the Dreamcast models, everything else seems to be turned off.
Well thats sort of a bummer. I'll have to go back through the mod list and see if I can fix it. I have to say though I already have loved what I've played, so if I can get the other conversions to work, I could only imagine. Thanks for letting me know though! Hopefully the next part I can get it fixed
So I finnaly fixed it before the release of Amy's part, and let me tell you I was floored by the definitive version
Sa1 and 06 is better than sa2 and heroes, yes I said it, fight me(also sa1 is my 2nd favorite video game ever, right behind 64 DS, I played both these games for a decade of fun memories)
I have so many fond memories with 64 ds! When it comes to your "hot take" though. I have to say I agree. If 06 came out the gate like project 06, it would have easily been the best sonic game. Multiple characters to play that instead of getting there own story campaign, intertwines with the 3 main hedgehogs narrative. It's a great formula and it sucks to think what 06 could've been if it weren't rushed

@sansthecritic2093 yeah im also not the biggest fan of mech stages and since the story is interwoven you can't choose when to tackle them and have to play them in story order
@@AustinTatious02 my brother likes the mech levels and treasure hunt stages in sa2, and you know what, good for him, even if I don’t like them
@sansthecritic2093 I talk about it in the next part of this series, but I do like the treasure hunting stages, however I'm upset that knuckles doesn't get his own platforming sections. Feels like a miss with all the opportunities his moveset could provide

Sonic Adventure Stans still making videos when Sonic Frontiers is basically Adventure but massively better
That's a take.. Frontiers is a great game and I think it has a lot of potential to make a great adventure title with its gameplay, however the locations are too similar for me to say it's the best. What I want to see is open zone city levels. Once we get there that's when I'd consider it peak. Right now Frontiers has my favorite sonic gameplay, but not my favorite locations. Thanks for sharing though!
