Mg problem with adaptions is that, you need to be really familiar with the original material to understand or enjoy the show. But fallout made me enjoy the show w/o even knowing anything about the game. And the fact that both fallout gamers, and non-gamers actually enjoyed the show is a proof the season was great.

S2 E7, Forks, is one of the best episodes of TV I've seen.

Man... Dexters bronshould have escaped and come back way later. Such a cool dynamic. Tried and true when done well.

They don't understand deception but the game, sophons, false appearance and manipulation of multiple humans are clear examples of intentional deception. This whole thing feels like when someone starts writing a story before they know how its going to end so they just make stuff up along the way.

Hey Pete, hope we get an end of season video for this one. I get that the show and therefore the vids aren't doing amazing numbers, but would love your take at the end.

Since finding your channel I've really loved how you do your reviews. This looks like something I might have followed but the trailers showed that high-energy. I felt that sustaining that as a viewer would be exhausting, especially if it is that episode after episode. I don't think I could survive binge-watching this.

This was an episode full of incredibly stressful scenes. Starting with Bantaro making Mariko explain her past and watching the looks and emotions on Fuji's face, to the parable of the pheasant and the flies and the death of the gardener. To just the general yelling and streaming. I needed to pause and take a break 😅

Pete, I recently stumbled upon Dark Matter on AppleTV. It’s a new tv show and only half way through season one but I’m hooked. I love your breakdowns and would love to see a breakdown on that show once all the episodes are aired.

Not sure when it was first shown (since this is a timey wimey show) but the kid's skeleton hoodie has to be a reference to Donnie Darko, I loved that!

The “Trekkie vs Trekker” debate is an old one, but basically they both refer to the same fandom, just that one is more specific to the Star Trek fans that take the show more seriously than the overall fandom.

This show missed out on a HUGE opportunity to add in a challenger like explosion but in their reality, as a publicity stunt, one of the crew were dressed up as big bird from seaseme street. Resulting in an entire generation of kids watching their favorite television muppet explode in the atmosphere live in front of them. Causing ripples in how futurte generations precieved space travel. Now that might sound sick, crazy and random but here is the crazy part. That's literally what almost went down. Big bird was legit planned to be on the challenger but idea was scrapped because it'd be too hard to do a foam bird head in a space helmet. Look it up, no joke.

I know it's already been a while now, but as I'm watching each episode as soon as I finish I come up here to check on your reviews in order to better understand this so much compelling show! But there's something that I'm wondering and maybe you, or someone here, could clarify: How come Poly only looks like he's somewhat in his seventies? Wasn't he supposed to be dead by now? If he was, say, 12 years old at the first season, he should be 150 years old by now. Maybe people in this so far advanced future found a way to live more. But, if that was the case, I think that would have been pointed out in the show. Again thank you for the wonderful job!

I completely disagree! They have destroyed the master piece that Clavel created. There is sooooo much disrespect in this show it's blasphemy! I've waited for over 20 years for someone to do this book justice, and instead of staying true to what was an epic story. They dishonor so much. To kill Hiro this way is just wrong and disrespectful. I can't even finish watching this garbage. Shameful!

I loved it! Two reasons that's it's just as the game is . All the Easter eggs, and they didn't ruin it like Halo, because Halo used the games as the main story and then they also follows the games exactly! It doesn't follow the individual game loir but follows the big picture of the game!

the lights reflected in Bernard's glasses from the "server room" seem to indicate more of a long hallway. This leads me to believe that the "server room" may be a hallway to another silo where or some other place where Bernard's superiors are.

Im going to assume the show is going to go with the ending of New Vegas that assumes you chose to side with Mr House. It think thats a safe assumption considering theyve already introduced him. I also assume, since season 2 will take place post New Vegas, that well get to see the continuation of the legions activities, and perhaps even whats left of the NCR.

I just watched the series for the first time and then literally just came here after finishing it because I'm so mad of how this entire plotline was left completely unresolved. Idgaf what kind of mental gymnastics you have to do or if there's "additional reading" required, the show makers failed miserably by leaving something that clearly was important enough to steal time away from other events. They did a terrible job or finishing this up, it felt very GoT season 8-esque.
