Here's a massive NO NO in this video. Charging your battery indoors AND at the foot of the stairs, your main escape route at night. Do not leave it on charge overnight, try not to charge it indoors but if you must then get youself a decent metal container to house it during charging, do not leave it charging unattended. There has been a massive increase in Lithium battery fires, some of them fatal. A runaway battery will burst into flames in seconds with an intensity you would not believe and you will not be able to extinguish it with water you can apply. It's hard enough for professional firefighters to extunguish them so you have no chance. Just get out, get everyone out and stay out.

Physics dictate not a con job. The physics say that a lighter bike (with the same size person) will require less energy to move forward meaning a greater energy plan. Hence there is the ability to travel faster too. It’s up to you to decide which you are trying to accomplish, faster or more distance. And if you want to get down and dirty lighter wheel sets will also improve the energy plan as well as narrow tires that will accomplish the plan.

I AM that go to man on every group ebike ride that carries everything including the sink.🤣 Spare links 5, inner tubes 3, wire cutters 1 pair, tyre patches and glue enough for everyone twice over, tyre levers, Araldite (handier than you think), roll of tape, zip ties, bungees, spare brake and gear cables 2x of each, bakes pads 2 pair my size only, spare batteries and a USB power pack, spare back light, torch doubling as spare front light, hand gel and water, nitrile gloves, mini first aid kit, spare riding glasses, quality pedal spanner plus min tool, energy gels and bars, 2 drink bottles 3 on a hot day depending on distance, mobile phone with Strava, large D lock, spare set of skewers, chain keeper, chain splitter and a freeze towel. The kitchen sink is a polythene bag taped to the handlebars when needed. Can I keep up? I don't need to as for some very strange reason they are loathe to part company with the bike store so it is generally me who dictates the pace. Mind you our average age is 75 years. 😂😂

i just got on my CANNONDALE Moterra Neo 2, some smart sams 29x2.6 coz I started to go most on asfalt and less on ground, and I really miss that "tracktor feel" that my Maxxis Minion DHF EXO RT 29x2.5 was giving. I confess that i'm less loud on asfalt and it seems to go faster, but..... IDK..... i'm not really happy.

3:40 Bosch requires the initial movement in the wheel for walking so have to kick the pedal too as well as elevating wheel. Very awkward compared to what Chris shows.

Actually we are new to these types of adventure because we are used to ride enduro on " analog" bikes. Now we are looking for these types of locations and adventures and trying to decide what we should buy to do so… and some additional technical climbing training may be needed.

Yeah cool, but my battery is 4kWh, while my ebike can go 80km/h with just 8:1 motor reduction. Yes it's double the weight at 5kg, it's absolutely illegal, but i dont care, because I will not stop if any police decides to stop me. Haha 😂

Pretty outdated display and viewing system. I do prefer two small buttons and a small display. Less items to scratch and brake :-). And I noticed a spring under the motor. That surely gets damaged if you ride rocky terrains. Must be a good motor, but is sounds like a tractor 🙄

I have a Yeti arc 29er and a mondraker e - mtb 85nm I feel the e-mtb helps me build my cardio to be able to ride my Yeti ARC hard tail at a higher cadence? 😮

E-bikes are definitely a workout, but not the same as a MTB. More cardio, less strength work. Personally I can ride until I'm buggered and can barely stand on either. Avg speed and total distance will be higher on the EMTB, recovery time will be longer on MTB.

I'm a proponent of IGH... lightweight ones (the Kindernay 7 spd) but the 3x3 is way too heavy. Too much unsprung mass reduces efficiency of braking and sus travel...the tradeoff isn't worth it yet. It can't be any heavier than current Sram Transmission to really be a true breakthrough. Otherwise, go with the geared motor like Pinion and put the weight at the BB for lower CG. But it's still too heavy currently. Plus, each motor company has to make their Pinion version....so time. Conclusion: Wolftooth Or Oneup, buy Kindernay IGH tech and improve it.👊
