Hi mircea, on the BMW Motorrad website, select the model of the bike then click the 'DATA & EQUIPMENT' box. Scroll down to 'Dimensions/Weights', all the seat height options are there. Hope this helps.

Wheeling down a hill, wheeling up a hill to near a vertical stop & jumping a ramp, on a big adventure bike the KTM 890R. Chris Birch is 8X New Zealand champion, 3X Roof of Africa titles, 7X podium finishes Romaniacs (one of the toughest races in the world). So although it probably didn't look like it to you but there was a lot of skills to ride that bike the way he did in frontbof a crowd. The camera never really shows the steepness of the land as well. I get why you asked the question but there were years of experience & skills to do what he did there.

Thanks Sam, I enjoyed it & I'd say there were 5X as many people there watching this time. The ABR must be making a ton of money from this successful & enjoyable event. Hopefully they'll send a feedback form again, if they do I'm going to suggest the GoPro Display arena be improved. It was impossible to see the log crossing with so many people, the ramp jump be brought closer & add another, there's room to improve it for sure 👍

I've often heard people say NZ is similiar 'in parts' to the UK. I spoke to Rowan Jones & he compared NZ to Wales. Chris said 'parts of NZ are similiar to the UK but its hard to say as it changes so much', & 'a lot of variety of different types of riding'. I know last year prior to the ABR Chris went riding in Wales, I'm not sure if he's done any in Scotland, I'll ask him next time bud 👍

He probably hasn't as there are no trails or green lanes here, just road riding, but the mountainous scenery is similar.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Midges are fine mate, so long as there is at least a 5mph breeze. It's the tourists that are a pain. I wouldn't ride the NC500 until late September/October or early Spring. I do prefer the Wild Atlantic Way in Ireland, much longer route and not as busy. 👍☘️

Yamaha PW50 was the starter dirt bike for most kids, I even got a power upgrade kit for my son's and it was a flying machine. Chris on a scooter, oh no!!🤣

He genuinely a cropper, all part of riding I guess. I heard him speaking to Chris Northover afterwards, Chris said he couldn't believe he decked it on the 1st corner so it was genuine.

I did see one chap on the Bridgestone trail. He'd obviously fallen off as he had his arm in a sling & staff were there, the strangest thing though was that he was wearing an Evil Kenieval outfit! I thought thats ironic.

Me & many others no doubt. He named New Zealand as his favourite country to ride, I imagine he was able to gain a lot of his experience there over the years. That wheelie he did was virtually vertical Wow 👏

Yes he is just a naturally gifted rider but has learnt his trade from years of competing & riding in tough events. When a humble novice like me watches him wheelie down & up a hill at the ABR its just breathtaking.

A few people spoke to Chris after his stint in the display area, I hung around till last to ask him those 3 questions. I thought he'd be short & want to get off but he gave me the time of day & was very easy to talk to. Loved his answer to the most favourite bike he's ridden? Fabrizio Meoni's Dhaka winning 950 going on to say how privileged he was to ride it, like an F1 fan driving Nigel Mansells GP winning car. Chris is a phenomenal rider & a top bloke too 👏

My buddies just put front & rear recording cameras on his kawasaki Vulcan. I think there's 3 levels of drivers to consider on this: 3. Saccadic Masking, Looming effect, essentially a human biological factor in their inability to see motorcyclists. 2. Along with the factors in point 1 these are the drivers adding more layers of danger by not paying full attention I.e. on their phones, eating, putting make up on, a dog on their lap! etc etc. 1. These are the worse, I'll give you an example, just yesterday whilst out riding the customary car waiting to pull out pulled out in front of me causing me to break. After pressing my horn, his reaction was to wave & smile at me! So these are those drivers who inherently have complete disregard & contempt for motorcyclists despite 1 & 2! So cameras can help. I havn't got cameras but perhaps it's time to??

Thanks Nicholas, yes I do find it interesting when it's the same bike but no two were the same, so many different variations to see with aftermarket accessories, upgrades & paint jobs etc. You're chrome edition is stunning as well, how do you find the weight & slow manoeuvring? Thoroughly enjoyed viewing the vast amount of Rockets that turned out & the variation of Rockets was interesting along with some special custom parts & stunning paint jobs!

I recall Mark telling me surprisingly sometimes he get's the odd person on the course who's standard of riding fell very short so as an instructor he'd try to make them aware of their certain bad habits. But if people don't listen & don't try to implement the feedback because they already consider their way of riding is perfect then I guess that's where the attitude grading would come in.

It's an interesting question Ed? I would advise to contact you're region BMW Motorrad dealership, they should have the answer for you.

I didn't know some options were not available in certain countries, that's not giving customers more choice which is a shame.
