No round profile files were hurt during this butchery. It changes the sound because the exhaust pressure pulse hits the inner surface of the inner end cap. Fluid dynamics would say it would cause a detrimental effect on the flow though, not that we buy Wees for performance
Sounds waaaay worse
Horrible
Everybody on these videos that modify the exhaust they always seem to be afraid to rev the bike up it would nice to hear the difference
Hey mate, hope you're doing well. Not sure if you still monitor this account, but I've popped back here to have a look as one of the guys I've just started working with was on this ride with you. Seeing if I can see him. 🤣
Are you seriously? Modification? Hahaha its sound like a farts
Well done mate thank you. My Suzuki at 60000 k has a dead spot around 3.9 to 4.6 thousand revs so i think this may be the problem.
Thanks for the video! I bought a 2004 vstrom and the bike stalls very bad when I throttle proper. Could this pre filter be the issue? Or would i need to change the entire housing??
Would this be the same for the 2004 vstrom?
My chain fell off and it scratched up the bolts holding the rear sprocket pretty good, any advice how to remove the bolts and how to put new bolts in (like should i put lock tight or something or just put the new bolts in)
What is the EN18 panel with the handgun mean?
I did NOT do it last year. But I just did it today and MAN, your mic did not pick up the change/improvement very well. This little trick makes a very significant and noticable improvement! Thanks again for posting.
I just completed the same procedure on my V Strom 650. New OEM front sprocket and rear sprocket and D ID chain. Got 35,000 miles out of the original OEM factory set. I use axle grease for lube every 300 or so miles. Use toothbrush to apply. Thanks for the video.
I think my neighbours like me better with the stock. Thank you.
Why do they weld the screws?
To stop the IQ challenged from needlessly 'doing performance enhancements" to their exhaust
I got one of these for a 2022 vstrom 650 and it makes the wind hit the back of my head lol can't seem to find the right spot to set it. I am 6'1" tall.
Great video mate, just cleaned my filter, no bike shop open here till next week, will do it all again when I get the newie.👍👍
Would this change the fuel consumption?? Great modification!
Thanks bud..I've just successfully changed my screen filter on my 07'...very satisfying job to do with basic tools 👍
It's the same procedure for 2005 Vstrom 650? Or it's a different fuel pump/filter? Thanks!
REALLY helpful. Appreciate the time and effort that you put into this.
Hahahaha stupid
Just got a 2009 vstrom today.... I'll be doing this over the weekend!
Did it work ?!
@@jkkosm2965 yes it did. I kept trimming it back until I got a tone I really liked. Throatier at low / town speeds but not too loud for long rides at high speeds.
i bought a bike that keeps popping, its took me 3 months to realise what the previous owner did. school boy trick.
Wow..I almost spend thousands of Rands (South Africa) on a slip on, this is brilliant, thanks so much, I just wanted a little more beat to my drum so that car drivers can hear me, this is perfect
Dominator to to nie jest
hello i have a question the power in my vstrom 650 2012 adventure was out... dash off, lights off, but the baterry is full... do not start... any suggestion?
Good sound easy fix. Good video.
What size nut is the front sprocket? Is it maybe in the tool set that comes with the bike?
32mm or 1.25 inch
Wow .. great Tip 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
what side racks are those for the panniers?
If your screen is full of gunk you have other issues in the fuel tank like rust
I don't think it's designed to be replaced. Like automotive filters, it appears to be replaced along with the pump.
0:42 2:48
Good job buddy! How many km did your bike have ? The filter was pretty dirty
What size socket to remove the front sprocket? My 1 in is too small. Thanks
32mm or 1.25 inch
Any idea why Suzuki filters get covered in that black soot? My Burgman 400 filter looks like it came out of a tar bucket after 800 miles. I've changed many a Yamaha filter, and they come out the color they went in.
Классная идея!!!
you are BADASSSSSS!!!!
Good Video Andy Handy Pandy. It will take me all day but well explained, thanks.
Great mod, thanks!
Sounds soooooo much better standard😎
Thanks, I hadn't seen the squaring up with the vernier calipers before, my alignment marks were way out so that was a big help, cheers.
what filter did u use?
This has got to be the most relaxed mechanical video that I have seen. 😂 Why use a work bench when you can use a towel? 😄
Also soaked up the spilled petrol.... soft and snuggly for the win :-)
Hi Andy ! Is it the same for the DL 1000 ? Many thanks. Great video !
I heard that these get clogged and about 60,000 miles give or take or is that the dl1000. How many miles on the bike when you did it what do you recommend changing them how often?
Hallo thank you for your video After i have remounted and place in tank doesnt spill any fuel Pump have to be refilled of fuel before restored in place?
Now it sounds like it's farting all the time. Problem is, if you don't like it and can't weld, there's no way back other then paying someone to clean it up and weld a new pipe on again. I went back to stock but am curious about removing the catalytic converter :)
holy shit?? you complain about cutting off and inch of pipe and say it's irreversible if you cant weld and will need to pay someone else to do it or buy a whole new pipe and header....... then you wonder about doing a full cut and fabrication job to remove the cat...... hypocrite
hey Andy, where do you buy the protector for saddlebag over your muffler......
That came standard with the bike, you would be able to get one from a OEM parts website, but not sure if they would stock many of them??
