It was just so frustrating... and it wasn't just cars going slow there were plenty of people on bikes going slow as well :-( Was great to finish it, now all I have to do is edit the vids from the way back home lol

Yeah, the next one is in Sep/Oct and going to Tassy...... I won't be doing that one though, I have to save for a new toy. Yeah, everyone had a laugh at Ernie's antics :-)

yeah it was great, I wish I had of got there earlier to film them all riding into town but I got to ride one of the best roads I have ever been on so it was a bloody awesome compromise lol :-)
Congrats on completing the long ride but mostly on edited all that footage to share and inspire us. I'm pretty sure that's the hard part. It's been fun to watch(besides the ernie stuff , kinda creeps me out for some reason haha).Cheers

The whole event was great... it had it's ups and downs but as a whole it was just amazing!! Of course Ernie gets all the ladies :-)

Thanks mate, now for the journey home :-) The back road HWY was awesome, I would love to get back there one day and have a base camp and just ride, ride, ride.. so many great places to see over there!! After all that booze I think Ernie got a little toey..... better that other muppet instead of me ahahahaha :-)

it most definitely does.... especially when it has been nothing but straight roads and when there are finally corners to ride they are all going slow :-(

not really, I still have pretty much everything I took packed away in a few places so it wouldn't be too hard. I was going to make a vid of everything I took and explain the good and bad of it.... just didn't get around to it... I might do one now. Might be a while though ;-(

any trubble riding the little vstrom for that many km and days? How was the fuel economy on it. I have not tested mine fully loaded, but on my daily comuting its very cheap.
it was amazing, not an issue with the bike at all. I didn't really track the fuel economy but I know that I needed less fuel than pretty much everyone else on the ride :-) fully loaded it handled well in twisties, was able to travel very comfortably at 140km/h or more (although the fuel gets used pretty fast at those speeds). all in all it is prefect for touring!

I had a feeling about the economy on it. Sometimes im not shure the fuel gauge works...hehe.
Without riding it for days and days i have had some weekend trips with my wife, and its a beuty to ride it...she is 13 year old this year and looks brand new.
