Don’t do the toilet tablets because it ruins the inside parts of your toilet. Otherwise I agree with these shortcuts. I’m addicted to containers, I have them everywhere. This doesn’t make you lazy, it makes you smart. You can also do what I call dance cleaning with music.

Big NO for me on the floors! If you keep your floors clean, the rest of the house stays cleaner. Trust me. I live on a mini farm. The number one thing we did that made a difference in keeping the house clean was to remove our shoes when we enter the house. I was amazaed at how much debri comes in on shoes! Your rugs and carpets last longer also.

This is the first cleaning routine that has worked for me! I work full time and keeping the house together has been an uphill battle. I felt like every couple weeks I would spend an entire weekend cleaning just for it to fall apart again. I have been doing this for 3 weeks every Sunday and it has been wonderful!!!!!

I have a pretty good Whirlpool Gold dishwasher, which makes things easier when I have multiple people in my household, but when I live by myself I just wash what I use. That makes it simple. I rinse it right away and wash things without letting them sit for very long.

If you are watching TV try to get up during the he commercials and clean till your show comes back on. You will be surprised how much you get done just using the commercial time to clean

It seems I have been decluttering for years now . I am now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel . My end goal is only have things that I use or love and have a designated home for them. I see that having less things to manage makes it so much easier .

This wouldn't work for me because I don't socialize that much but something I've tried that has been working is on Thursday I make a playlist of 5 workouts, 3 strength 2 cardio tone. Then whatever workout I feel like that day I choose one of those 5. Gives me 2 days off.. Try to walk 8k a day or walk 4k and bike 30 mins to make it around 8 k. (I'm recovering from a surgery)

Another hack: keep a spray bottle with a mix of water and white vinegar in the shower, spray down the shower after use. Done. (I've been using foil in the oven for decades; hardly ever need to clean the oven.)

Guess it's easier to start waking up one hour earlier than you're used to. Still trying to wake up painlessly at 9am after months of noon to 1pm mornings tho

I grew up in a very clean home. I love having a clean home. While I can remember my room being messy, that was where it ended. Toys were NEVER left out. The biggest “mess” I could remember is the Sunday paper being on the coffee table. It wasn’t stressful. My mom didn’t spend all her time cleaning. She had hobbies. Their home is still this way and they aren’t minimalists. Having been an observer of their home for nearly 40 years I can safely say the BIGGEST difference is that my dad is a tidy person too. She never has to pick up after him. EVER. He never picks up after her. If he sees something in the house that needs done he does it. My mom has been a SAHM their entire marriage. He does not treat her like a maid. As a kid both my parents trained us to pick up after ourselves. Nothing was ever overlooked because the house wasn’t overwhelming. If we left something out of place it was very obvious. For many years I thought there was something wrong with me. Then I realized I am the only person taking initiative. Also, habits are huge. My dad always said he puts things away immediately because he is lazy and wants to work less. He isn’t lazy, but I understood the idea.

I love having a good playlist with some of my favorite songs going in an earbud while I clean (I can still hear it over a vacuum lol). I'm still working on *my* perfect cleaning schedule but I'm getting there.

You can sanitize babies bottles, bibs, dish clothes and brushes in the dishwasher as well. Oh and toys!

Getting the house magazine clean and tidy for the landlords inspections is a pain in the neck. I really hate it.

I need the encouragement to make new friends. We moved a year ago and I’ve met people at church & the library, but haven’t really made a “friend” yet. I definitely feel isolated & lonely
