Just to add as I find this extremely useful. You can rebind the sprint macro to L3 which would actually align with how sprint works in other games too

I'm glad you brought up the Durium War Scythe! I was using that for a while before swapping over to a Windswept scythe. Edit: To answer the end-of-video question - big fan of Byakko's Enspirited Fists, the glowing WHM weapon from Seiryu, the glowing DRG weapon from Zurvan, and the Tropaios PvP Sage weapon! They're ones I use all the time on those jobs!

A lot of classes arent getting a lot this expansion, just some QOL stuff and some fun new animations. Mind I was late to Endwalker so everything was new and exciting to me while now... Im not disappointed I'm just not as bright eyed. Its fine, nothing is bad, it just feels more like minor upgrades. My classes are looking like- DRG/VPR, RDM, GBR/DRK, and Astrologian. DRG was my starter and still love it, but with DPS bloat in ques.... if Im going to spend the 20 minutes or more waiting for roulettes or story I think Id rather be doing something brand new. Viper looks like a job I will love. Its very improvisational feeling with a lot of fun cool flashy attacks. I'm planning on spending most of Friday on this class. Red Mage is... solid. Its a fun class thats very flexible. Loved it in Endwealker and its not changing much at all so no competition here in the ranged DPS category. (I dont have a phys DPS really, but maybe the Bard will see some more play from me down the line.) GBR is my go to tank. Im good with it, its fun, it looks snappy. Nuff said. Dark Knight is a tank job I want to main and Im hoping that the changes will make it more tenable. But as it is, its the tank i struggle most with. When the party is half deccent, its not a problem; but it needs so much more support from the healer that if the healer goes down I typically follow. Astro: I dont heal much, in fact its the only job that I have in this list thats not 90. But it is gorgeous and I am hoping to fix that this expac.

I have the game on pc and Xbox. I never thought...being a pc snob for years, that I'd prefer controller. But damn, it's fantastic. I don't have to reach for buttons and I can recline and play. I have a mnk plugged into the Xbox for chatting etc. Definitely the way to go

Where controller really shines is when you pair an elite 2 with ReWASD or scuff envision with its default software. ReWASD allows you to not only map keyboard binds to any button or stick, but it lets you do key combinations and additional programming layers. Scuff has the same options. You can squeeze way more functionality than you already are. Such as mapping LT+RT to a back paddle as well as RT+LT. this opens up the second hot bar with 1 button instead of 2 allowing for more effective combos.

Didn't see this from the comments, but you can buy the emperor's new fists (and pretty much the entire set, the shield needs to be bought in the golden saucer) from a guy in western thanalan after learning about glamour prisms for basically nothing. If you find them on the MB, you'll likely et scammed EDIT: Some additional tips: If you want the see-through book effect like the diadochos books, but black, the lv 87 dungeon Ktisis hyperborea has the same effect for their SMN and SCH books. If you want to have books with dragon and fairy/butterfly wings but aren't as shiny as the HW SMN relic and the King's codex, the Eureka weapons at the pyros stage has similar effects, but they don't take over as much keeping the "book" feel better imo. The ARR SMN relic weapon also has dragon wings, but the HW grind is probably easier tbh Additionally, at least on my world, among the 80 and below crafted extreme weapons, the titania and tsukuyomi weapons (and the rare drops you can use to craft them with) are usually the most expensive ones, so if you manage to get a group together, it's probably better to run the trials unsyched a few times. At least economically...

An interesting tidbit about the Titania DNC weapon glow is that the glow colour changes every time you sheathe and unsheathe. Each of the two weapons can also take on a different coloured glow on the same unsheathe.

Wassup Vit. I'm a WHM main and I've recently finished the Stormblood MSQ. I started playing FFXIV after Endwalker released, and I've always wanted to experience an Extreme/Savage/Ultimate fight. But the time and effort needed to learn, prog, and God permitting, actually clearing an end game raid, is nearly impossible for people with day jobs and a family. I know raid sims have been a thing for awhile, but I just don't understand why SquareEnix doesn't include a Practice Mode for FFXIV end game raids. Stone, Sea, Sky is great for solo practicing your rotations on a static dummy, but I'd love to be able to practice the actual fight mechanics with NPCs inside FFXIV. As an introvert with "Heal-xiety", the Grand Company Squadron quests and Duty Support systems have been a GODSEND in helping me become more confident in playing WHM, especially with roulettes where I am forced to play with REAL PEOPLE. From what I've read on reddit, seen on youtube, and experienced in-game, I am not the worst healer hehe, but I'm malms away from being a raid tier healer. Here's hoping that Dawntrail provides more tools and sims for shy Sprouts like myself to get into end game raiding. Keep up the awesome content my man.

Great vid! Had some of my favorites in there too, including the Fae Tantelums! As a note, though, you don't have to do Aloalo Savage for the upgraded tome weapon. You actually can get the item to upgrade them from P11S and I believe also P12S and also from getting one of each coin from the A-raid. Plus as you mentioned in the vid, we'll be able to just get them with Poetics.

Sometimes with all the glowy and fancy weapons it can be nice to just pull out a weapon that is simple and clean. Crystarium Sword and Shield for Paladin is one of my favorites just for being a pretty basic but nice looking sword and shield.

as someone who mains BRD from 9 years, i got all its relics. ARR final step looks great but it's kind of small in size. In my personal humble opinion i really believe that HW BRDs relic is the best-looking Bow in all of the expansions.

For someone who loves weapons on fire, I'm amazed you didn't mention the augmented hellfire fists (or something like that) for monk, lvl 60. Like, that's one of THE best monk weapons.

Thyrus will always hold a special place in my heart as a WHM because of FFRK, Stoneskin was always such an important ability before it was automatic. May Global RIP, I still miss it 😔

A lot like you, I really enjoy the nice simple clean weapons, and also those rare weapons that look like they should belong to different jobs. One low-level sprout-friendly example is the Canopus Bill for WAR, which looks kind of like a polearm/halberd. There's also a plain-looking _hook_ for Paladin from the PvP area.

Question, can you keep the previous versions of relics or once you upgrade it, it's changed?
