Fibromyalgia: The Medications | YvesyM
Opiates are the Only Thing that Helps especially when you have Ankylosing Spondylitis on top of it‼️
I ve lived with fibromyalgia for 30 yrs and have tried everything out there , I have a tens machine that helps with shoulder pain, but the headaches and brain fog are a real pain . It’s a comfort to be able to hear of other people’s thoughts and feelings
All the above.
Girl this is so validating to see & I know it’s been 4years since posted but I just wanted to say thank you & how much I appreciated you voicing some VERY REAL thoughts that take place in all of our brains… could’ve spoken these words exactly. People can be so goddamn stupid & insensitive, too. I fear isolating AGAIN this pregnancy just to avoid dealing with them.
Aww thanks for commenting, despite this being an old video. It's tough isn't it? Don't let anybody invalidate your experience. Congratulations on your pregnancy by the way! I really hope as time goes on you'll feel more comfortable. I think the way I was in this video was feeling very 'in between'. Not VERY pregnant, just frumpy...and lets be real thats not a pleasant feeling! As for comments -people just need to HOLD THEM!!!
I completely understand everything your saying as I have suffered and was diagnosed in 2012 each day is a battle 😢 and I'm so over it and just want to be normal again😌Big hugs to you❤
I was diagnosed with M.E and Fibromyalgia 14 yrs ago , I know there are worse things that people can be diagnosed with but if severe , these illnesses can break you. I have sometimes gone to bed hoping that i won't wake up in the morning. The feeling of illness and pain can take it's toll.
Thank you, you’re spot on in all you say. I recently had a plane trip and fainted in the isle of the plane. I’d sat around at the airport for over three hours due to a plane delay. I had extreme pain all over the body, I remember feeling dizzy and felt I just had to move, I also threw up 😩 I can’t sit for long periods with fibro pain. I was taken to hospital by ambulance and spent the night in hospital under observation. I don’t recall the fall at all ,only feeling dizzy and the desire to move. One Dr said you can faint from fibromyalgia pain. 🤷🏼♀️
Watching this in 2024 on my first pregnancy (at 21 weeks) and feel the EXACT same! So nice to hear this and know I am not the only one <3 x
Hope you're doing well now hon. Congrats on your pregnancy :)
Still gorgeous after 4-8 years 🥰🥰
Yes I have it also😢
It's a curse isn't it.... :(
The ultra processed edible products people get invited out to eat, that you are pathologising people for turning down, are not food. If your society sees it as normal or acceptable, and peer pressures you into social events involving poisoning yourself, your society is sick, and you should leave it. Become a nutritional refugee to one of the places where everyone still buys freshly made bread from a bakery and prepares all their own meals at home including all the sauces and creams, nothing industrial with ingredients your great great grandparents and all prior generations wouldn't have ever had pass their lips. Go to somewhere like the Mediterranean coastline, and some central and Eastern European rural communities, where you, the sane person who doesn't want to pay to get poisoned, will be recognised as normal. There is a tonne of evidence that ultra processed food is the environmental trigger of most cases of eating disorders in genetically vulnerable people, and that diets without any of these substances, such as the traditional Mediterranean, prevent eating disorders.
There are definitely some interesting points you make that give food for thought! <3
This is me
I made this years ago and it all still resonates with me..I'm not sure why I'm surprised..
Greetings from Southern California. It is good to see you post a video. I hope you and your family are doing well. The last time I left a comment on one of your videos, it was about fibromyalgia. Peace to you and your family.

Welcome back, look forward to you sharing with us in 2024. I first came across your content when i was to move abroad to Holland to attend Lieden University. I could only find accommodation in Delft so was doing some research when i came across your walking tour of Delft. Loved that video & enjoyed the following 3 year there, Thank you
That's so cool to hear😂Love that. So random! That's what I love about the Internet 😁Hope Leiden went well for you and you enjoyed the move. Some move eh😏
I'll be here! Great to hear your lovely voice again. All the best for 2024 to ALL OF US✨
2023 kicked my ass. And i couldn't be happier to let it go. Starting off last chritmas with major gallbladder infection (that really started in feb/march 2022 i just didnt know) 5 stays at hospital (which you might have seen on my instragram!) , 3 infections, ,gallbladder burst and finally surgery in june. Left me with a bit of PTSD and pain that has been out of this world. Finally starting to feel like im getting somewhere post surgery. So here is to crossing fingers, hoping and wishing 2024 will be if nothing else. A little less dramatic!! Happy New Year to you and your beautiful family!! wishing you nothing but the best as well! Love from me xx
Wonderful to see you again! Wishing you the best with 2024!🎉 2023 worked out fairly similar for me, I was hoping for it to go well and it went the opposite way.
Hello. Not seen you for a long time. I find your videos on Fibromyalgia and mental health interesting, would be good to see more of them, if you are in the right headspace to do them.

Happy new year and best wishes!!!
Wow,shit was not expecting to see you this morning, welcome back.Cant wait to see more videos from you.Happy New Year everyone 🎉🎉🎉.
Absolutely, will do😘
Hi! Glad to see you back. I just wanted to let you know that I really liked your videos on mental health and eating disorders and I would like to see more of them if that's something you're interested in doing.
Hi, what kind of activities or hobbies are fibromyalgia people able to do comfortably without pain?
hey! right now i can walk, with pain but still i can walk pretty freely. my muscles are always sore and stiff to varying degrees, so getting into different positions can be hard initially. i havent been able to do any high-intensity exercise that is reasonably comfortable. i did pilates for awhile but it was very uncomfortable. i got lots of buzzing, tingling, shooting pains etc. So i guess my main answer is: walking, doing house work.
Spot on. Made me cry 😢
Thank you for this video 🌹🌹🌹
First time watching your videos. I appreciate you for being so precise. I will tell you I've had fibro for 30+ years. Pain killers are the enemy but if your going to take one, take morphine. Bad mixes with morphine like alcohol can kill you. Anti-inflammatory foods are key to feeling better. You have to do the work, nobody's going to help you. Imo, you should take no drugs, you'll see an improvement quickly. You'll still have the pain, down time and fog but in general you'll start feeling better. Lots of lemons, fermented foods, berries and protein...organic. thanks for reading. Side note: misuse or abuse of morphine alone can kill you 10mgs twice a day is max. They use that drug in death kits for the dying. Caution. I'm not a doctor, may be wrong. Jmo.
thanks for your comment. interesting...
@@YvesyM Nothing cures fibro and taking medicine allows Dr's to treat you like a druggie. It causes digestive problem which makes everything worse bc your body won't absorb nutrients hc your guts not right. Cilantro removes heavy metals. It's living on a cleanse and worth it. You will never be normal, stop trying to be, is my advise.
I needed a dietician because I didn't know how to eat. It was really bad. I'm so much better now. I can't use hatred. It's just not me.
im so glad you've found something that works for you <3 xx
Well said, but the Social Security doesn't think its a real thing 😢 they just don't care, but hey wont you to keep working 😢

Not depressing or sad at all. Everything you said, I can relate to. Makes me not feel so alone. Hope you’re doing well today 💕
Thank you love for this video. I use baclofen, I’m 29, have nerve and shooting pain, muscle spasms, also I use ibuprofen rub on my back neck and shoulder. Often I also get shoulder pain and arm pain from sleeping on my side, and have to stretch my arms, I did self harm, and my GP is fantastic, non judgmental, and also gives me naproxen and tapentadol. I take 150 mg of baclofen a day, staggered 4 hours apart, I’m ok now in terms of my mental health. I also take lorazepam and small doses of diazepam throughout the day, followed by quietiapine 100mg at nighttime for sleep. Thank you, blessings ❤
Got diagnosed with Anorexia Athletica a few days ago, trying to do my research
Love your honesty, been on all them for years n nothing worked, gave me so much suisidle thoughts 😢
Ive tried every medication n nothing seems to work for me,i get every side affect but no relief,i take 5mg Diazepan about 2am wake at 3-30and have to take another 5mg,cant and not had a sleep for about 20 years, tell people n they say u are joking u must sleep not me,always shattered 😢😢
Spot on,same same😢
For me there is no joy in life, nothing what so ever, tried everything and still nothing, first no social life then no family life, you are stop on got everything you are talking about 😢
My heart 😞 I HATE hearing that for you 💔 like that honestly makes me feel pained. It's horrible, so horrible. My heart goes out to you, it really does
The pain sucks all the energy out of you. I’m sick of people (even family) saying oh you can come, we’re only going to be out for a couple hours. HA, if I could last for a couple hours I’d be working on finishing all the different projects I’ve started over the years. It was said best by roberttosa2560- a pain free day that could end at any minute and for sure the next day. I’d like to see if other family members that catch a really bad cold or the actual flu would like to go out and do activities. I think not. The only good part about this insidious thing is that it’s taught me two things. One is patience and the other is that I’m a lot tougher than others because if there were a machine that could give this to them with a flick of a switch, they would fall to the ground screaming and I don’t do that. I simply say “no thanks, I’m not up to it”. Sometimes it’s so bad I think to myself how can it hurt this much and I’m not dying? At least now it’s known and when I go to my GP doctor I don’t have to hear you couldn’t have that because only women get fibromyalgia. (Which was still an improvement over there’s no such thing) well that’s all for now because I have to psych myself up . I plan on taking a shower day after tomorrow whether I need one or not.
You don’t have a disease you have an allergic reaction to the chemical glyphosate, I had all these fake diseases ,FM ,celiac disease, and peripheral neuropathy, now I don’t because I stopped eating it. You have to get the toxins out you and keep them out. Please listen ! I have Zero pain like I never had pain in the first place .
im listening and i believe you. but at the same time its impossible for you to say i dont have this condition or to know what will help me. ill check out what you said though :)
@@YvesyM I’m sorry, I did not mean you don’t have a condition, what I meant to say is I had 4 Crippling diseases from Chemicals and heavy metals in our food and hygiene products that went miss diagnosed by physicians wanting to keep me on pills that only help them with my money but only help me me a little but Never fix me !!! Chronic Insomnia for 5 years sleeping 5 to 15 mins in 24 hrs, because of the Aluminum powder in my deodorant getting into my Brain and inhibiting my circadian rhythm, now I use Castor oil and sodium bicarbonate as deodorant and sodium bicarbonate and apple cider vinegar for toothpaste . The glyphosate gave me Celiac Disease and non diabetic peripheral neuropathy. And when I added Atrazine, that gave me CRPS, and Fibromyalgia ! I’m also Allergic to Salt, ands most Chemical artificial sweeteners ! Millions of people in the USA have these and more but don’t have a clue what there from and they follow there mouths in slavery to death, just like Ants to ant poison !!! After a year and a half of trying I couldn’t quite figure out what was causing my pain so I changed my diet completely and for 30 days I only ate washed steamed rice and bottled water and three of my four diseases just went away and my sleep is Wonderfully Blissful. Again I’m sorry to imply you don’t have something horrible, I’m simply saying what happened to me and caused a living Nightmare !!! I hope my words find you well and I thank you in advance for listening and hearing the long version, LOL , Tim.
Thank you. The medicine, Cymbalta is working. Along with gabapentin and some others. 2 months ago, I could barely walk 5 mins. Now, over 30 mins. a day. I try to walk almost every day and it is brilliant. I am very happy Today, not saying it is all perfect. Question: Why such late diagnosis? Took years 🤷♀️😬
this is the case for many people. resources are a big thing really. GPS would have to rule out many conditions before leaning towards fibromyalgia. that means expensive blood tests, onward referrals etc and its a lot of WORK. they need time to really understand everything about whats going on for you. who diagnosed you in the end? im delighted youre doing a lot better -same with me thank god. 30 mins walking is solid :) Good job
I am so worried about my friend. She is stick thin and her period hasn't come for 8 months. She never eats lunch but talks about eating huge tubs of ice cream and a lot of ramen noodles. She makes up the most outlandish excuses for not eating. Also she always bakes cupcakes and cookies. I don't know how to talk to her about it or how to help her. I don't know what to do. Can someone please give me advice.
Yes. First of all, if you really want to help you can tell her(super softly) that you know she has a problem and that you will always be there for her no matter what. Depending on her reaction, ask her if she wants to chat. If she denies it don't seem swayed but make it clear that you know there are hard things coming up for her and that you'll be there when she's ready. How old is she?
Thank you, also she's 13@@YvesyM
EXCELLENT DESCRIPTION for ALL of US who fight this "THING" we live with. Thank you for speaking on behalf of people with Fibromyalgia ❤
aw thanks for this comment <3
@@YvesyM I've shared this with family who don't understand 'this'. Kinda gives FM some credit as REAL...not just me👍🏼
I know what you are going through 😢
I am trying. Mother and father would Say "save some for the rest of us". I was made to feel ashamed and greedy if I ate. They are a huge part of why I am this way. I am 5'7 and weigh 118 pounds.
FAMILY are often at the root of disordered eating habits....of course they never intended to actually cause problems either..if only they knew the effect of their words :(
@@YvesyM 💯
