    Hi Fibro friends!
    This is the most positive update I could give tbh! It might bring some hope into YOUR lives too. It's not a miracle but I couldnt help but be enthusiastic in this video.
    Fibromyalgia is known to be difficult to treat but I'm convinced, some day there will be a CURE! I truly am.

    Thank you love for this video. I use baclofen, I’m 29, have nerve and shooting pain, muscle spasms, also I use ibuprofen rub on my back neck and shoulder. Often I also get shoulder pain and arm pain from sleeping on my side, and have to stretch my arms, I did self harm, and my GP is fantastic, non judgmental, and also gives me naproxen and tapentadol. I take 150 mg of baclofen a day, staggered 4 hours apart, I’m ok now in terms of my mental health. I also take lorazepam and small doses of diazepam throughout the day, followed by quietiapine 100mg at nighttime for sleep. Thank you, blessings ❤

    So lovely to see an Irish channel doing well. Hello from Dublin! I am in the same situation and I feel so hopeless about relieving pain, I am on Palexia, Etoricoxib, Diazepam, Buprenorphine, Paracetamol and Difene Spray, this might be some new hope! I work only 3 days a week and everyday I am in agony and all the other days I am recovering from the residual pain! You have a new subscriber🥰☘️

      You need to try Low dose naltrexone if you have fibromyalgia or anything like it it helps with the pain and sleeping and energy. It’s amazing. I had chronic disabling pain and weakness and chronic fatigue . It took every symptom away for 4 months until I got into a flare after getting Covid but I’m working my way out of the flare and using baclofen for the break through pain and spasms

    • @YvesyM
      @YvesyM  Před 2 lety

      So for sleep you'd be looking at going up on the amytriptyline. As long as you're tolerating the dose fairly well during the day without adverse side effects. Muscle relaxants: Baclofen. It's suitable for long-term use, Cyclobenzaprine is contraindicated in long-term use...... GOOD LUCK☘️💕

    Baclofen is for me the best medicine to drastically reduce alcohol. I was able to divide my beer consumption by three. The only downside is that it must apparently take several years for it to work properly and then consider weaning Baclofen. I've been taking 60mg a day for two years now. I also have Tranxene (clorazepate) prescribed (15mg daily). But I only take it twice a week because it is too addictive (like all benzodiazepines)

      @YvesyM  Před 6 lety +3

      heyyy! honest answer? i dont know. a couple of relevant things. i switched from 60mg to 90mg. i only found this out recently.but 90mg of cymbalta treats depression.whereas 60mg is the therapeutic dose to treat fibromyalgia. a senior clinical nurse special at a leading london hospital told me that when anti-depressants are over the recommended dose to treat pain they STOP treating pain and just treat depression!! (pain and depression are interpreted in the same area of the brain,thats why different doses affect different neurotransmitters that are responsible for 'sharing' pain.hope this answer isnt too confusing!

      @@YvesyM I was put on it along with diclofenac about 2 years ago for pretty tough back/neck pain. I was told muscle spasms several years before, and ig they just worsened. New X-rays showed worsening arthritis, ddd, and bone Spurs in my trouble area 😢 I hurt even worse lately. To the point I was on the max dose of baclofen. In the beginning the combination of medicine worked really good now I feel it doesn’t work nearly as adequately! I actually started tapering down off of it and I’m at 20 mg a day now. Everything I’ve read about it I’m very hesitant to be on it and when I was put on it I was told I needed to be on a muscle relaxer and I requested the most mild one possible and of course I didn’t do my own research I just trusted my doctor. Turns out that it helps significantly with anxiety PTSD etc. I have worsening anxiety That was helped by the baclofen and I didn’t even know it until I was without. I just don’t know why it such a dangerous drug from everything I’ve read and people I’ve talked to it can be very dangerous to stop taking abruptly even deadly and I know quite a few medicines are the same but I’m not on anything else like that so this was very scary! When I just thought it was a mild muscle relaxer! I know it’s apparently a life saver for some but I wonder if it’s the right one for me. That seems to be feeling some better but when I was first without and then started tapering my anxiety was unlike anything I’ve ever experienced and so is my blood pressure. I’m having to take clonidine Several times a day and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to taper off that once my body adjusts but it’s been several weeks I don’t know how long it takes to become normal so to speak , without it. Gosh I feel like I just rambled I’m sorry! If u have any Advice or experience on anything I mentioned please share it! Tysm!
