That was a lot of work! It came out beautiful....from what it was. What a challenge.

In my own experience the most frustrating dirty old crumbling pieces turn out So Good!! I’m not sure if it’s the sense of satisfaction that saving an otherwise trash piece gives, or if it’s just the knowledge that you have something that is 100% antique unique and one of a kind! Or, maybe it’s the relief that all of the hours of back breaking labor sweating over a dusty old question mark paid off 😂! Regardless, personally I love the worse for wear items. They are frustrating! They are infuriating! And sometimes you just feel like they belong in the firewood, but gosh they turn out pretty!!😂

I'm curious about where the projects come from for a challenge? Do you acquire them yourselves, or are they given to the restorers for the challenges? If they are foisted upon the restorers, it begs the question of whether you were 'set up' to lose. Well, ha bloody ha, because you passed the test, for us anyway. The frustration at the very poor condition of the Jewelry Display cabinet, the hours and days spent restoring it, the stubborn rusty nails and screws were no match for your determination, and quality workmanship. You eventually, after a great deal of dedication and I don't doubt very many curse words, a whole lot of hours spent in editing the video, you aced it. Well Done! Excellent!

Wow. Just wow. You have me at a loss for words, and that doesn’t happen often! Your choices for the stain and the new hardware are perfect. Look for a jeweler in your area that makes custom pieces, especially if they use older jewelry for inspiration. I know you want to donate it, but I’ll bet you could make something for it.

You did a great job putting your excellent woodworking skills to work. It's just a matter of taste, but I don't like the dark finish (I understand it's also out of fashion nowadays), though I appreciate you needed to match everything in, nor do I like the great abundance of brass screws and other fittings looking so prominent in THIS venture, though that look can often work. It was an entertaining watch that obviously took you ages, and I respect your imagination, patience, determination and versatility. Best wishes.
