As a professional furniture conservator in private practice for over 50 years, I want to say that I was impressed with your video, your humility and the results. I started watching this video because I thought the chair was beyond repair. You did a fantastic job. I feel your pain when the crest did not fit, but you solved the problem. And I appreciate your shot of the Old Brown Glue, which I developed and now sell internationally. My best wishes for future projects.

Old Brown Glue (hide glue) would have been a good choice for the other glued joints too (but not the repairs) , rather than polyurethane. I buy it here in Canada from Lee Valley.

Amazing! To fix something that was so broken and have it all come together in the end is simply amazing. You should be very happy with the results and now, we look forward to seeing more chair repairs!!
