My 2011 2.0 tdi engine never goes much above 75 degrees on coolant, always thought it needs thermostat but never had any dpf issues? Had car 10 years

Hi my Insignia has a warning for Engine Reduced Power. Would this solve the problem?

Which thermostat? The one attached to oil filter or the one next to oil cooler?

Does it work ? What is the result after this ? Does engine gets smoother ?

I’ve got a 2017 fiesta 1.5 tdci with a fault code p2599 (Turbocharger boost control position sensor 'A' performance - stuck high ) What I have noticed on live data is there’s no throttle position % with ignition on or with the engine started no matter what position the throttle is in I’m thinking this could be open circuit on the tps that’s inside the throttle body not sending commands to the turbo actuator thus throwing up a spanner and traction light on the dash and putting the car into limp mode until ignition is turned off and car restarted

So that's all the problem would be, cleaning the EGR cooler and EGR? I have the same error, I put vcds on the machine, DPF is really clean.

What is a good brand turbo boost sensor to buy

my car shows turbo underboost everytine on highway 40min slight uphill. In the gity you can drive it automatically or manually 2000/4000 rpl or 100-160km/h there is no limp. Once on highway 120-130km/h it goes into safe mode. What could it be??? Po299

My 2017 Passat with 197,000 miles CUAA engine has the same fault code. Runs perfect otherwise. Code has been there for the last 60k miles. No power loss etc. EGR cooler?

Hi , a few weeks ago my friend had the sump taken off to have the oil sump seal replaced on my 2014 insignia 2.0 , i noticed a few weeks later a code for crankshaft position reluctor ring performance and cylinder variation too higb, coukd this be anything to fo with the work he did ? Car runs fine , i only noticed the codes when playing around with my diagnostic machine. Many thanks !

check the charger hose from intercooler I've had similar issues and it was split parts coming tomorrow. If you have oily looking substance just behind the driver's side head light it's probably burst.

Mines a mk6 2.4 135PSI, I had this issue,,,, tested the old thermostat and it wouldn’t open in a bowl with boiled kettle water,,,, got the new one put that one in a bowl and hot kettle water and it opened, so fitted the new thermostat hoping to have heaters in the cab and nope… ran it up to temp for a good hour absolutely nothing… so going to change the water pump at the weekend as no water coming out the top of the thermostat when the pipes removed it should squirt out also no return to the header tank… no blockages in the rad as I have had it off and flushed it nothing came out and was only coolant in no water

I've had that that sensor replaced 4 months ago and now it failed again 10k km later. Any clues why it fails so often?

My 530D E60 has really strong white fumes from exhaust. Have to maintain my windows closed because can hardly breathe and eyes water. The color of the fumes are white to grey. Car runs brilliant with no loss of power. Please give advice on what it could be.

Just had my Citroen Ds3 force re-gen cos the light came on. Quite abit of smoke came out, but it's now running alot better and smoother, and the light is out now. Well worth doing.

Hi mate mine is acting up atm, I drive it gets to 90 perfect. I'm in traffic it drops just above 1/4 start driving its back to 90 again. do you think its the thermostat ? Any help appreciated

You won’t get this problem if you drive the vehicle long enough and have enough diesel to clean the filter

Hi, I have a ford kuga 61 plate, only had it a few weeks after moving to Rutland area(second hand) the Engine light would come on sometimes now it’s coming on every time and the car goes straight into limp mode every time, I took it for a check at a ford garage and they ran a dpf check which it failed but they seemed fairly clueless as to what the problem could actually be, any suggestions please?

Hi I have a Ford kuga 2009 2.0 tdci titanium AWD car drives fine with no issue apart from its smoking black smoke on hard acceleration from around 3000rpm have no engine light any idea what it could be oh I also have a minor leak on the front Dow pipe cat flexi pipe which I’m going to get sorted could it be that causing the problem

What is cylinder maximum combustion pressure, my 2.0 cdti is showing 4600 on all 4 cylinders with my autel tool when range is 0-100
