'DPF light comes on every now and again and generally noisier and slower than it used to be'
The owner had only bought it a few months ago and wanted to get it checked out and cleaned up.
🔎 Initial inspection found no obvious issues, but a lot of vibration from the carbon present. Dashboard showed it running cooler than it should so a new thermostat would be a great idea. After chatting to the owner the fuel level was allowed to get very low and the DPF lights coincided with that.
🧑‍🔧 On with the clean and it soon smoothed out, quietened down a lot and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
The owner can now get the thermostat replaced and keep the fuel level above ¼ tank going forward.
