'I've got the service vehicle soon light coming on, P2453 Pressure sensor code, have replaced the sensor but the light won't go out.'
🔎 Initial inspection found no obvious issues in the engine bay, but a tell tale rumble from the carbon present. Also a vibration and chatter from the flywheel.
📊 Initial code read found an active code for
P2453:5A DPF Differential Pressure Sensor Performance not Plausible
🔎 Live data all showed all injector, temperature values, etc. looking good. DPF regeneration however was being attempted too frequently due to the sensor issue.
💻 We recalibrated the sensor, which then allowed us to cleared the code.
🧑‍🔧 Given the mileage the owner wanted the Engine Carbon Clean and it soon smoothed out, quietened down and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
