    🙋Reason for booking in...
'Engine Management Light has come on and local garage has said its a DPF issue'
🔎 Initial inspection found no obvious issues in the engine bay apart from a tell tale rumble in the engine from the carbon present.
    📊 Initial code read found...
Code for P24C7:00 - EC Particulate Matter Sensor Temperature Circuit Range/Performance
🔎 Live data showed acceptable coolant temperature in the 90s and DPF data indicating the DPF wasn't blocked with a value of 33%. All other data for EGR and injectors looked fine, but the Exhaust Temperature Sensor 3 (downstream of the DPF) was maxed out and flatlined.
🧑‍🔧 We proceeded with and Engine Carbon Clean and it soon smoothed out, quietened down and by the end it was quiet, smooth and responsive again.
❗ The particulate matter sensor downstream of the DPF can now be checked and replaced to eliminate the engine management light.

Hi! I own the same car with the same issue, however, despite extensive searching, I am unable to source a new sensor. Would you be able to point me in the right direction? Thank you kindly.

Hi I have the same fault code on a Kia, is it ok to drive with a particulate matter sensor fault, car drives fine etc.

It will be drivable still, but with that issue then would get the sensor issue resolved asap before the DPF blocks up.

@@f5ecc on my Kia Sportage to PM sensor is after the DPF filter. I believe it is just there to measure emmisions out of exhaust. Surely this shouldn't cause a DPF filter blockage?

Same system on some Range Rovers. If the sensor is giving bad values then it may cause the vehicle to think it doesn't need to regenerate when it actually does or vice versa.
Cheaper to replace the sensor now rather than the DPF block and then have to replace the sensor anyway AND pay to unblock the DPF.
