What's to stop competitors or envious trolls complaining to ruin your channel? In today's woke climate (especially Canada) any number of comments could be framed as being transphobic, racist, homophobic, Islamophobic, misogynistic, etc, etc.

The tonewood thing, with regards to a solid body electric guitar with magnetic pickups on it, is just a waste of time. Different woods have different acoustical properties, and it makes some theoretical sense that it would have some measurable impact on even the amplified tone, but those differences are nothing compared to very slight changes in literally anything else, hardware, pickups, strings, the height of the pickups, and of course the amplifier, the settings on the amplifier, the speaker, the cabinet, the mic placement, the mic placement, the mic placement, the mic placement, the fucking mic placement!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Furthermore, no two pieces of wood are alike, and there will be just as much variation in the acoustical properties between one piece of Alder and another piece of Alder as there will be between a piece of Alder and a piece of Ash. The two pieces of Alder could come from the same tree, and still be drastically different. It's good to have our electric guitars made out of solid wood, as opposed to some cheap composite material that won't resonate or sustain, even if you're getting most of your sustained by standing close to the amplifier. We don't need to use these magical woods that are 10 times as expensive and never sustainably harvested. The old growth Redwood telecaster that I saw advertised a few years ago? That was a $30,000 crime. Listen with your god damn ears.

Seeing Nuno Bettencourt state that tonewood is a thing during his interview with rick beato was pretty harsh to hear, and well, it just confirms that being a great guitarist doesn't mean you're a great sound engineer... But somehow a lot of guitarists are convinced that since their tone sounds good to them, it WILL sound good in a mix (i remember some guy putting on 10000 effects and playing leads just to say that it was gonna sound good to record rythms... That was me 4 years ago)

Also, I'd love to know the difference between, say, a JTM45 20 watt head, a Studio Vintage Plexi 20 watt head, and an Origin 20 head, if all are used as a pedal platform using the same distortion pedals, and played through the same cab. Specifically, I wanna see your Revv Northern Mauler played through the front, pushing a slightly broken up sound into full on extreme distortion, maybe even double boost using an OD in front of the Northern Mauler. I wouldn't mind seeing that, along with boosting the front with a Joyo Uzi and/or Argos Drive, a TC Eyemaster/Boss HM-2w, hell maybe even use a metal zone as a boost, with the gain very low and the volume cranked, for shits and giggles. Also, Lichtlaerm Medusa as dist/boost.

I would love to know the difference between a Marshall, an Orange, a Friedman, and a Laney? What's the difference in tone between a JCM800, a Jubilee, a JVM205? What's the difference between an OR15, and OR30, a Rocker Terror, and a Rockerverb? I'd also love to know how the tube amps from these companies compare to their own solid state or hybrid alternatives, like how does a Marshall MG50 combo compare to DSL20 if the power amp is routed through the same cab? What about the IRT vs the IRF? How does a full BE50 or BE100 compare to the BE30 solid state? I'd also love to see how those all compare to "amp in a box" preamp pedals from brands like TC Ampworx, Joyo, Tech21, Tubesteader, AMT, Mooer, etc, regardless of whether they rely on modeling, analog transistor and red LED circuits, or tubes. Then I have the same or similar questions about American and German voiced amps.

The whole CZcams copyright thing is weird. As a filthy casual it seems to have all fallen apart when CZcams sneakily became a music player and it sucked creators into the copyright claim business. I do use those words purposely, claim copyright on music is a business. Twoset Violin have a whole series of videos on how they got strikes for classical music! Craziness.

IDK, my friends and I've had really good luck with Epiphone on the Special series, with the P90 wraparound LP, the standard black two piece bridge H-H LP and SG models, etc. for $179 to $199 US, they're great mod platforms, at the very least.

Epiphone want’s to be like LTD to ESP. Better quality, and used by more pros now that Gibson is quite expensive. Like Fender MiMs to MIA, maybe.

All the clips except the last with overdrive: clip a - 6l6, clip b - el34, I guess in the overdrive clips those are switched, so clip a - el34, clip b - 6l6, but I am from my iPhone speakers and 1/4 sound volume on it. I usually perceive el34 as warmer and fatter tone, 6l6 as lifeless, crying, slim, icy-cold tone. I think I heard the same here, but it is better for me to hear it again through my akg.

I put a 12 bar rock song on my channel, where I play your bog standard blues scale bass line in the chorus, it got copyright claimed as being from a song called Rave Man, which is just some "House" version of the Batman Theme with "Rave Man" in it. Nothing alike at all!

This isnt the first time Paul has gone off his rocker about tone wood. The dude sells expensive high quality guitairs where often times one of the selling points is a certain wood type that "provides (insert adjective here) tone and clear resonating sound" If PRS came out and said yeah really at the end of the day the wood doesnt really affect tone at all compred to the pickups and whatever amp you are using then their sales would take a massive hit and people would stop buying their more expensive models. Same gos for gibson, fender, ibanez etc.

While not youtube bowing down to some cultures, theres a guy here in the UK, Bendon Kavangh, who plays boogie woogie on public pianos, dont know if that's a thing in the States. Anyway a few months back he was filming a vid at St. Pancreas station and there were some Chinese people protesting/filming and walked into his shot and started complaing about him filming them, notecthevwalked into his shot. He refused to stop filming, so they went and complained to the British Transport Police who told Brendon to stop filming. Apparently one of these individuals is known to be spy. I'm 62 and it's getting to the point where I'm almost glad I don't have too many years left in me the way the world is going and fear for my son who is 17, he arrived late in life😂, as to what he is going to see due to the woke culture that prevails these days. Got to be careful you dont insult someone as they identify as they, it, them, cat, toaster or whatever. Is it me or has it got alot worse since covid?
