Thanks for the nice comment, Arta!
This is quite possibly the best SOP video on CZcams so far. This truly helped me reframe my mind on what to include in my statement of purpose (I had such a difficult time conceptualizing it before). Thank you so much!
Thanks Mr. A! I wish you the best of luck on your grad school journey. Thanks for the comment!

books for the new gre?
Thanks for watching, Dhruv! I think these books are still really good for the gre because the content hasn't changed: czcams.com/video/Kprfawmoz9w/video.html
@@sithijamanage thank you so much for replying :) I'm thinking to buy the princeton revie?w. Is it worth the purchase
@@dhruvsharma1719 Personally, I haven't used the Princeton Review. I did a quick online check, and it seems that some people feel that it helped them. It seems that online, some people say they prefer some of the materials in this video instead. I think overall, the materials in this video are probably more popular. Hope that helps!
what edition is the N.L Carothers. Real Analysis?
Thanks for watching this video, George. I think it's the first edition!
Heyyy ,,, is gre for PhD alsoo ?????
Heyyy Aiman, it depends on the program, but yes, many PhD programs require the GRE! 👍
Hi, I will be taking the GRE exam in 2 months and my plan isnto study from the official ETS books and solve problems and do pr qs. Do you think this is a good strategy? Anything more i should do if I want a 330 plus?
Hi Ekaksh, I think that this is a good strategy. As long as you don't run out of practice questions, this should work well!
Hi Sitijha, thank you for the video also for how long is the 20% offer code valid?
Hey Thinlay, thank you for watching! Good question lol 😺I was not given an ending date, so it should still be good to use for near future. I think at any point if you want to use the code and it isn't working, you can reach out to me, and hopefully I can arrange it for you. Thanks!
hi. that's a good video. Thank You. I want to ask specifically. I am very afraid of Quantative Reasoning. Can I get a score like yours if my overall preparation is 6 months from zero studying the material to the test? does that make sense? Thank You
Hi Rahma, sorry for the late reply! Thank you for watching. I think you can get a very good score. If you study consistently then you will be able to achieve a strong score after 6 months!
@@sithijamanage thank you so much.
Hey bro,My sister completed Bachelors in Physics. Now she is looking forward to study abroad. So she needs to clear GRE.Could you plz suggest books to prepare for GRE physics. Is coaching necessary to crack GRE or self study is enough?
Hi Aiden, sorry for the late reply! Coaching may probably not be necessary, but she will probably have to a lot of practice problems! I think the GRE Physics exam can be quite challenging. I am not sure what prep materials are usually used, but here is a discussion I found online discussing the same topic: www.reddit.com/r/Physics/comments/q6xqe/can_anyone_recommend_me_a_good_book_for_the/

I want to ask a question. If i ask you about the Magoosh preparation and Gregmat prepration? What would you suggest?
Thanks for watching, Atiq. The Magoosh Preparation is very thorough. It's a very good preparation material. Gregmat is also a really great preparation plan that offers incredibly high value. I haven't personally tried Gregmat but I have never heard a negative thing about it. Hope this helps.
Thank you for making this to the point without any fluff. I have been working on my SOP without any guidance and just scavenging guidelines on the internet and youtube. This was really a neat, to the point, drafting technique!

What was your GRE score?
166 Verbal, 166 Math, 5.5 Writing!
I took the book ETS - The official Guide to GRE but i am not getting that how to study the book can you pls help me ?
Hi Mahesh, I would try to solve each of the questions, section by section and then check the answers. If you feel unfamiliar with the material, you can read the information they give about the sections before they have the questions to get a better understanding. Hope that helps! Let me know if I can help clarify my answer. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your reply see i am basically using 3 books 1) ETS The official Guide to GRE . So this book is for concept and pr q. 2) Manhatern 5 l.b Book. So in this book the pr q which are given so can you tell me that how much q will be asked in gre exam from this book? 3) Magoosh GRE Prep. Concept + pr q. so from the 1 or 3 which book do i use for gre prep@@sithijamanage
@@MaheshPaul-xr7gv 1) Yes. 2) I'm not sure what you mean. The GRE Exam won't have any exact questions from any of the books, but the questions will be similar to the ones in these books. 3) You can start with 3 and if you finish those problems, go to 1. Hope that helps!
Thanks fir your reply In the 2) I mean, as you told in the video that Manhatern 5lb has 1800 question for practice so from this book how much similar question will be asked in GRE Exam? and as you told in that i can use Magoosh Prep book so if i just prepare from this book it will be enough for me rt?@@sithijamanage
@@MaheshPaul-xr7gv There are only 82 questions on the actual GRE, which will hopefully be pretty similar to the ones that you practice in the Manhattan 5lb book. I think that you might want to do more than just the Magoosh Prep book because it doesn't have a lot of questions.
What do you think about GRE Big Book?
I actually didn't use the GRE Big Book but seems like it's a great resource. Some people on reddit say that it's the best resource next to official ETS prep
@@sithijamanageThanks! I appreciate it

@@sithijamanage You are Welcome
Fantastic and informative video as always Sithija! I’m currently still in undergrad, but I’m planning on going to grad school to get into Machine Learning. From your experience, how’s Cornell’s ML department?
Thanks for kicking it with me for so long, Nyle! Machine Learning is a great area to pursue for graduate studies. Some schools have their own machine learning department (like CMU), but most schools have machine learning programs within the Computer Science department. Cornell's program is within Computer Science, and I believe it is very strong. There are also statisticians who work on the theory of machine learning problems. Hope that helps!

Hey! Did you use gregmat for preparation of GRE? Everyone I talk to uses it, and I am confused if I should do the prep on my own or purchase gregmat. Can you please help me!
Hey Njalan, I personally didn't use Gregmat, but I have heard that it is a really great resource. I don't think that I have heard anyone who tried it say that they didn't think it was worth. Hope that helps!

Mr. Thumbnail
Hi guys! I have a question on "mastering out". Could you please tell us about this process? Can I just leave with my master`s or should I convince the people (faculty advisor or whoever is) for this decision? I couldn`t find any clear explanation about this so your help would be appreciated.
Thanks for the question! So from I understand, you really can't go in to a PhD program and convey that your intent is to Master out. I've heard opinions from professors ranging from basically it's looked down upon to another professor saying it's a perfectly fine thing to do. One of my colleagues said "It's like a decision you can come to with your program/advisor if something about the program isn't working out. This isn't a process that's advertised because it's like never the goal, but generally programs might have course-based or thesis-based masters that students can earn and leave with if things don't work out 2-3 years in." So I guess what I would say is to maybe convince yourself that you are truly maybe going to see this PhD thing through, and then if you don't really feel like this is the path for you, then take the Master's and dip. Something like that. Hope that helps!
This was the best 6 minute vlog I have ever seen❤
Thank you Maher ❣
