Hi how is the housing system.. availability..n cost?

Hi PSD, the housing in Ithaca is a little different from what I am used to. Basically, we all have to find housing on our own by contacting the individuals who own the apartments in the area. The housing prices are reasonable though!

I have a young friend from Pakistan who is just graduating from one of their top technical universities and she is interested in doing graduate studies and statistics. Can you tell me how she would apply and do you have any idea if there are any loans or fellowships for international students, and no, that can be a problem. I realize you were not an international student, but it looks like you met a lot of kids from other countries who are now doing graduate work at Cornell and so perhaps you have some insight into this

@@carons.967 Hi Caron, thanks. If she gets accepted to a PhD program, it will most likely be fully-funded, meaning that she will have a salary (stipend) given to her by the university every semester in return for Teaching Assistantship or Research Assistantship work. If it is a master's program, she would have to apply for student loans I believe most likely. Thanks
