So for grad school in the US you can upload (CV, SOP...) separately, not at once?
I applied in Europe and it was: log into a Portal, upload everything at once and click an irreversible "submit". Later on, I could check whether my referees have submitted their letters.

How important do you think the submission of an updated transcript is?

Good Q Ethan, I actually am really not sure. I submitted an updated transcript for every school that I could because I wanted to show them the classes that I was taking my last semester of undergrad. However, I have no idea if they actually read these, so I am not sure. I think I would recommend submitting an updated transcript though to show that you've learned whatever is covered in the classes you're taking in that last semester
