- In today's episode, we run into Ron The Bulldozer guy and check on him to see how he is making out fixing a field with the bulldozer, plus we picked up the last of our fallen fence from our 10 mile fence pulling adventure, we loaded the dump truck, burned a giant tree pile, reshaped a ditch with the skid-loader, and loaded a second load of hay before calling it a night.

I'm liking Roman's camera work and commentary.
Leveling out the ridge, looks like good enough for government work....A single switch would cut all the power to the 12 switches, but you could still control the lights one at a time.
I want to know why Nate is always identified in recent videos...but Roman...the mysterious, but seemingly wise, Russian(?)...just showed up a few videos back...was he part of the new Franco head team?...or what?

Tip for releasing pressure in a skid steer/Compact Track Loader (CTL)......climb into the cab and move the joysticks back and forth AFTER the engine has stopped. This will release that pressure in the lines.
Roman seems to be fitting right in and helping you guys out on the farm. You guys are all doing an awesome job cleaning up the farm and making it more efficient.

Just for shits and giggles you should soil sample those fence lines. They probably have not been tilled for decades, it would be interesting to see how it tests out.
All the blown dirt caught by snowdrifts, weeds, brush over the past century. Also shows the compaction/decay of organic matter from the previous deep-rooted prairie grasses.
Check the skidloader temperature Gauge Sender and the fan motor wiring for the heat problem. Fan speed selection might involve a little wirewound resistor on the fan circuit. Get the Skidloader Manual for the wiring diagram and clues on repairing it. 8:45
It’s so satisfying to see the burn pile blazing away. It represents so much work. The clean up projects over the years have really been beautiful! What a difference! Great work!
Cole. I noticed you having trouble with those hoses on your skid steer. Here's a trick. You will never touch another wrench. As you go to shut off your skid steer, shake your implement control handle. As the machine shuts off, you neutralize the pressure in those lines. It works.
Love Roman's foreign language captioning. I used to work with a Czechoslovakian, and we had to label a lot of stuff, so we got a spell-checker. When he used it, we called it a Czech-speller.

It's always nice to see an old farm get cleaned up but it's nice to see folks preserve the past in places too! That big perfectly round rock would have been neat to put in a flower bed by the house for your kids to climb around on 😬👍

Years ago after my grandfather retired from farming he done the same with his place. Was shocking aa to how much of a difference it made.

It would be cool and beneficial to see a D8 tracking across the fields pulling a root plow. Lifting, fracturing, shattering and prepping the soil for spring. Then a tandem drum Spike aerator rolling the soil to smooth over any humps. The big aeration holes would allow the soil to absorb and retain more water. Fertilizer would be better utilized by the plants when it's down in the soil where the roots want it.
Anyone who has ever known a skilled catskinner/dozer operator knows it's definitely a skill--done almost entirely by feel

When your hooking your hydraulic lines up, when the machines off flick around the controls. It relieves the pressure making the connection easier. Awesome vid Merry Christmas.

Cole, I prefer having multiple switches in a building that has a lot of lights. If you don't need all of the lights, you can just use the ones that you need. If you have a relay that goes bad, you lose the entire building. With switches most of the lights work while you get the bad switch replaced.

If you push the hydraulic fittings of your attachment in towards the skid loaders fittings before disconnecting it will release the pressure from the lines so you won't have a problem reconnecting them.
There's a fancy valve in the skid loader fittings fittings that releases the pressure to tank.
It is cool to see how y'all pull togather to make everything work(skid loader went down) you were right there to keep Cooper going, great to see a family farm work so well.

Oh my gosh, I see a ton of firewood in some of those loads! My father and I used to go to friend's farms and load up on firewood. If we loaded it and took it away, it was free. There are a lot of people who pay for firewood because they don't like the cold or heat, and buy it already cut! The idea of a wood stove is to help heat the home, and save money. My Dad would have drooled and found a way to contact you for the trees. Didn't matter if it needed to season another year, we (me and Dad) and his friends, would all go. I'm his youngest daughter, 5'2", 100 pounds sometimes. But, I could keep up with the guys.😊❤ Then go home and watch my 3 girls, only 2 1/2 years apart in age, kept the house and yard clean, and cooked to boot. I also make the world's best applesauce. My kids, and sister's kids wouldn't eat store bought. ❤😊

On the hydraulic couplers on the skid loader of you can get one hooked up turn the skid loader key on without starting it take the park brake and hydraulic lock off and run all your functions it will take all the pressure out of the lines and will connect lot easier can do it before unhooking them too will help them from holding pressure

When I see your JCB skid loader go by it looks like Wall-E!
Plug your skid steer attachment hoses in together when not in use. And some of the skid loader hookups press in to release the pressure before trying to plug them in.
I understand you dont need the fences but there is something to knowing where the boundaries are.
You have been working your land like Romans did; working to make it "work itself"- retain sub soil water and drain to places that haven't enough. Awesome! I am sure of Roman's pedigee- he has a sense of humor that gives away his Ukrainian heritage! Slava! Roman! Lots of "hidden talents" too!

Store the flat face connectors coupled. This way there is no stored energy.
That’s how I store them and never have any trouble coupling to a machine…keeps them clean and pressures evened out😊
Hey guys. I can't believe you dont know how to relieve the pressure on the hydraulics. I never had problems with it. Just shut of the machine than turn on the ignition and lower your safety bar. Then just push the aux bottons, the hydraulics will release the pressure. Love you guys

9:45 Hey Cole there is a clamp you can buy that takes the fight out of connecting hydraulic quick connects. I feel like that would be a good thing to have in each machine for changing the attachments.
