You may want to drill vertically into the bottom of the existing foundation and epoxy the rebar inserted into it. Rebar will point down into the hole you dug. This is done for earthquakes but you may not need.

Could you put louvers or "screened vents" on the east wall that would let the west winds out with the eastern wall closed. I typically see them on other produce storage sheds. They would just mount them on either side of the new door

you probably want wind turbines even if for your own generation of power but if you can buy some land it may be a way to start getting into the black - dual purpose land, get out of lease agreements and own the land then find the best long term deals - could be a possible scenario perhaps but i imagine a lot of other people are doing the same thing - network and see witch way the wind blows

Why not use an air compressor and an industrial size vacuum cleaner blasting on and sucking up the soil instead of doing it the hard and slow way? With the vacuum cleaner outside a lot of hand carrying away material would be eliminated also.

Interesting video. Manually digging footings is, well... interesting. It seems like a huge amount of work this late in the game. Aside from that I want to say this: I was looking back over videos for the last while, and I am realizing that, aside from a few videos around planting, the farm stuff is pretty much all gone, as is both your brother and Daddy Cornstar. Cooper seems to be mostly MIA or insanely camera shy (did he cut the mullet?), and Daddy Cornstar's channel is the only place there is any farm stuff. I understand the house is your big project for you and your growing family, but wow... it's like this is an entirely different channel. I am sure people are enjoying it, so keep going. I'll just go take a break until harvest, I guess. Already done the house thing before, very over it.

You have every right to be mad. As hard as your family works every day. And as much money as you spent having this bin site built. I’m mad FOR you. The builder responsible for this should be ASHAMED. They robbed you with their shoddy workmanship. They should have to refund you every bit it costs you to have another, more reputable, company fix it. And I pray that no one is harmed in the meantime.

  • @allisonanderson4586

It’s so interesting to me because I have watched a lot of remodels. Never have I seen something so in depth. Now mind you I don’t do it I just hope to one day remodel a house. Maybe I’m not on that algorithm. Still this is so interesting and informative.

  • @ChrisHarding-lk3jj

You would have been better off tearing the house down and build a new house, it probably would have been cheaper in the long run. You have already removed all of the homes original character. There is nothing original left of the house inside or outsids, the house is already covered in plastic siding. What you are doing is compromising on so many things building within the existing constraints of the home. None of it will be as good as a new home. You are still planning an adition which is a step backwards before going forward.

Not understanding the hate for all the restoration. This is his house guys, not yours. Hes going to be living in this house just like his grandpas, etc. The electrical, water, everything is outdated. He would have had to rip up most of this stuff anyways. Hes explained multiple times why hes doing what hes doing. Even if he stripped everything, its still the house that his grandparents updated through out the years. Jesus, just seeing most of these comments is ridiculous. Hes doing this for his future family.
