    Bummer that i just bought the 274QRF-QD right before the end of the year...but i must say that it has been a joy to use. I just need to get the colour calibrated on it. Other than price and the extra 5Hz, what else would you say are the biggest differences and potential reasons to upgrade from the one i just bought?

  • @delsere7095
    @delsere7095 Před rokem +12

    I know others have tested this monitor and found that the actual brightness was closer to 430 nits than the advertised 300 nits. I bought two of the monitors recently, and one of them had TERRIBLE color accuracy out of box. I went through the sRGB user settings to color calibrate, but I couldn't use my color calibration profile and HDR at the same time. Troubleshooting with MSI was unhelpful so I exchanged the monitor for another, and it was perfect out of box. A bunch of us got together for the launch of Diablo 4 and everyone unanimously agreed that the MSI G274 looked amazing with the HDR enabled, even compared to older high end gaming monitors that had higher specs on paper. Overall, highly recommended.

      Hey dude, I just got this monitor and explorer for example looks really washed out and brown-gray, unless I adjust the colors in my driver settings. I think it should’nt be like that and that I don‘t get the colors and experience showed in this video. Any ideas what I could‘ve changed in the setting that it would look like that? Or should I get a new one?

    • @delsere7095

      @@mrpanther44 I think an outdated driver could have been the cause of my issue, but I spent over an hour trying to update it, and couldn't figure it out. I'd start with restoring your monitor to default using the buttons, then updating the driver. If that doesn't fix it or you can't figure out the driver update, I'd just get a replacement.

  • @zaitsev_khv

    Hello! Thank you very much for your review! I found it through recommendations among the comments in a Reddit post.
    I live in Russia, in the Far East, I apologize in advance if I wrote something wrong. On New Year's Day, discounts began at a local store, and I decided to choose two identical monitors for certain tasks with certain characteristics. I thought that the monitors would hang above each other on the NB-H180 bracket, and would be connected to the gaming video card via the Display Port. The lower (main monitor) will display daily tasks: games, surfing, photo and video editing (non-professional) and watching videos, sometimes working in a 3D editor. And the lower (additional) one will display the remote desktop of the virtual machine, a preview window of the photo/video editing result, as well as Skype / Discord etc. And sometimes I will connect other computers and laptops to these monitors for testing (via HDMI). I want both monitors 27" QHD (2560p1440) on an IPS matrix with a frequency of more than 144 Hz, preferably with G-Sync support. Why two are the same? The second should not be cool - so the perfectionist in me will be satisfied. Moreover, in the future, if If I don’t like something, I can change the configuration by placing the monitors in a row, or give one of the two to my girlfriend.
    Now I use an Acer Nitro VG252QPbmiipx and a simple cheap 23.8" FHD 75Hz monitor. They are in a row now, and because of the difference in diagonal and frequency, my eyes get tired. I would get another Acer, but they are not on sale. So I don’t want to take similar ones.
    In my city there are models suitable for my tasks:
    AOC Q27G2S/EU price ~280 USD ;
    MSI G274QPF (non QD) price ~300 USD ;
    Philips Evnia 27M1N5500ZA/00 price ~350 USD.
    Besides them, there are also monitors from Asus, Gigabyte, Xiaomi, LG and CoolerMaster, but almost everyone criticizes them. Frequent marriage or matrix is worse than those chosen.
    I've been sitting and biting my nails for a week now (from the stress of torment of choice).
    Could you please advise which monitor should I get?
    Happy New Year!

    I would recommend against using this in hdr in any way. It has literally none of the proper hardware for real hdr. No local dimming, no dimming zones, very low brightness, terrible blacks, and a bad contrast ratio fro hdr. Sdr this is a solid monitor but no one should buy this for hdr use.

    Finally, a gaming monitor that doesn't look like a gaming monitor! I agree about RGB on monitors, it's kinda dumb/gimmicky.
    Also, finally a nice gaming monitor that doesn't have the huge/wide V-shaped stand/feet! I have a relatively small desk and need a small stand. I'm looking into getting a monitor arm to clamp on to the back of the desk so that the stands won't be an issue. Do y'all have any recommendations on a monitor arm setup? Preferably one with up to 2 arms so I can put dual monitors on it.
