- While Marques is away being a professional athlete, Andrew and David sit down to discuss the news of the week. First they go over the new Nothing Ear(stick) earbuds before digging into the new iPad and iPad Pro. After that, we have a pre-recorded phone-guessing segment that Marques played with Austin Evans the last time he was in town. Finally, we finish up with the answer to some difficult trivia questions. I had the same issue of 10% with Nothing Ear (1). Luckily, was under warranty I got it replaced but it seriously puts a big doubts on the company. But after replacement, for past 5 months I don't have any issues.
I've been using them dialy for almost a year now, I had the problem 10-20 times but It hasn't been happening anymore since August
I always thought this was a connecting issue? When I came across this problem, I would pop them out and back in and they were fine.
@@kleanish it was such an annoying experience. I had the experience when I updated the firmware early 2022. FInally I got it replaced!
I literally threw mine in the dust bin. The company needs to sort out the reliability issue
The new features of Google Messages that David is talking about, almost all of those, added for message/emoji reaction & specific message reply have been there on Teams (and a few other apps) for a while now. The All/Personal/Business tabs in Messages seems to be inspired from SMS Organizer (from MS, practically the best SMS app out there). I don't mind, these are good features to add.

Hey, Rcs Dev here.. a couple of things to correct..
ABC - Apple Business Chat came as a response to Google and Facebook B2C (Business to Customer) approach. The RBM (Rich Business Messaging) has been around on Google Messages and Whatsapp/Messenger for a while with richer features. [Tiles, Carousal, Buttons, App icon integrations, etc]
The default messaging application on many Android devices is Messages by Google. The Chat feature is asked to be enabled when opening the app and we have found many users enabling just for read receipts. RCS is being used by many users without users actually knowing. There is also an abundant of users outside of the US who are used to B2C on WhatsApp along with Messages by Google.
The term when talking to business would be a RBM agent. Either a automated bot collecting conversational data, or a handoff to CC (Contact Center) that will connect to agent to message you.

I want the nothing ear 1s to be good so bad but they constantly lose connection, and get out of sync. They also randomly drop connection multiple times during listening sessions. I also have had the same problem of only one ear bud charing over night.

Same issue with the "wing tip/Google buds" style and also have to use the stem style earbuds. I recommend the latest or last gens LG Tone's F8/F9 and T90 they sound great and are sweat resistant

39:00 Andrew, a lot of Spanish speakers use audio messages all the time. I would say that some use it more than texting. It’s more convenient to share long messages that way and voice to text is usually not good at transcribing certain Spanish dialects.
I’m from Spain and it’s actually insane how much people use voice messages over voice transcribing or texting.

Sometimes the contacts for the headphones get dirty and will not charge right. A Qtip with isopropyl alcohol whipped on the contacts for the headphones and the case might fix the issue.
Didn't mention the new Messages update coming with a pretty significant logo change (which looks more like iMessage's logo), which brings it (as well as Phone and Contacts, which also received new logos) into "logo-parity" with the rest of the Google suite of apps.
It’s the connection between the earphones and the charging case. Sometimes my AirPod pros do that, I just wiggle the headphones while in the case to help the connection
I’ve had the same experience with my airpods pro where the buds don’t charge even when they are in the case
I have to pull them out and put them back again and again for it to work
I have frequent issues with the ear1. sometimes the left one won't connect when I pick it up from the case. apart from the 10% issue.

I have the same issue in Airpod Pro
I had a pair of airpods pro with the same issue of one ear bud not charging. Galaxy buds and pixel buds never had this issue
I switched from Android to iPhone a couple weeks ago. I'm still using my OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 earbuds and my old Sony WH-CH700N over ear headphones that I used with my 12/256 OnePlus 7 Pro Nebula Blue. I haven't decided if I want the AirPods or the Beats yet. My main issue is that there aren't more brand choices in earphones and buds that work with iOS like Android has.
I have the exact same problem with ear phones and running! I sometimes opt for over ear headphones if it's not too hot out but feel there's a gap in the market for someone to swoop in

I suggest trying the Jabra Elite 7 actives (or one of their older active models). My wife and I both use them for our runs and weight training. They sound great (customizable), stay in-ear very well for both of us with no wing-tips, are comfortable, IP57 rated, and have multi-point connection.
I tried the first and second generation AirPod Pros and couldn’t get either to stay in my ears.
+1 for Jabra. Using the Elite 85t for lifting and they are really great. Not really a runner, but they sit really good in my ears.
MTW3 from Sennheiser also. Good fit for the gym.
38:00 The point of voice messages is to get the intonation, annunciation, and/or timing, etc., that you can't get with text. So, I can't figure out why you would want this.
Good to hear Google is FINALLY getting their sh!t together with messages. These features should have been introduced 10 years ago, instead of creating and killing duo, meets, hangouts, meets (again?), alo etc.

The gen 1 Apple Pencil came with a dongle to allow the pencil to charge via lightning cable plugged into a power brick instead of sticking out the bottom of the ipad

Hey guys. I am glad you discussed the issues of fitting AirPods in your ears. I have tried all brands from the most expensive to the cheapest and I can’t use the apple AirPods for a long workout because the ear cartilage hurts and they start falling out of my ears. The silicone of the AirPods Pro help somehow but Apple needs the reevaluate the fitting of AirPods and AirPods Pro. Great content and discussion!
on the topic of the headphones not charging, my airpods pros have been doing the same thing for a few months now, randomly switching between the left and right headphones

To me this whole dongle situation just confirms to me something I’ve always suspected you might be able to do and I still would like to try however, I couldn’t because I got rid of my old Apple Pencil is… USB-C lightning cable going to female to female lightning adapter for original Apple Pencil to original Apple Pencil. Would it then sync with a newer iPad?🤔
This really needs to be tried! Has driven me nuts thinking about since the Apple Pencil two got released along with USB-C iPads.

For the iPad having the 3foot cable adaptor, I think it is meant for using the Apple pencil Gen. 1 to draw/write on the iPad while it is charging.. but I am just guessing

I always have problems connecting any type of Airpod with my iPhone. I have a Fitbit connected and for some reason Aipods cant connect while Sony and other earbuds connect with 0 problems.

Interestingly I had a super similar issue with my Pixel Buds A Series a couple of days ago, where the left bud refused to charge. Thankfully it fixed itself when I ran the battery completely flat and recharged it from there.
Had that issue with Samsung Buds Live, had to send it to them and they send a new pair back luckily.
Same issue with my airpods pro
Personally, never have had any issues with A Series, give me really solid battery as well. I use them for running as well.

Three or four times I've picked up my PowerBeats Pro, and one will be at 100%, the other barely charged. The problem with those are the case. If they get slightly jostled around in there, and don't sit in the charger just right, one will not connect to charge. You have to be really careful with them. And all that joy for $200!

David, I love running with my Aeropex bone conduction headphones. Physical button controls, can hear your surroundings perfectly, and great battery life.

The issue Andrew is talking about has happened to me with my AirPods Pro. It happens a lot with my Samsung Buds+. Constantly have to check the percentages before I unplug them.
I’m in the middle of a move. My GF is looking at me like I’m crazy because I’m screaming into my phone “MODEM!”
It’s only an artificial limitation insofar as they did not need to include the landscape camera. There is obviously no way to have both the charging coil and the camera on the same side. This is why the iPad Pros do not have the camera there. Also, there is another difference between the iPad 10 and the iPad Air 4. The iPad 10 STILL does not have a laminated display.

Funny thing, I’m having the same issue with Air Pods 3. The left one will not charge until it dies. I have to let both of them die then charge them with the case plugged in. 🤷♂️

Live in West Virginia. I picked up the Fold 4. Never saw a fold\flip in the wild before. Now, a month later, I know someone else who got the Fold 4 and ive seen 6 people with the Flip in the wild. They're starting to pop off.
Try the JBL reflect flow pro. They give you the best ip rating and good bass and you can switch the form to fit your ear
