What do yall think? 😊 The homeowners are still in the renovation process so when they get everything finished up we'll show you how it all turned out!
Good one ,nice watching your channel grow you & others have made my channel growth possible ! Thanks Rhonda aka RK3 !
I didn’t think I was going to like it but I absolutely love it!!!
Thank you!!!!
Hey Rhonda & Kenny, these are absolutely fantastic! This job is next on our epoxy to-do list and your videos are so helpful!! I appreciate your dedication to teaching us in this industry all the tips and tricks!! ❤ ya!!
You bet!!! I love see people be able to create and make beautiful things 😊😊
Thank you for showing all the prep and how to cut the holes etc, other channels weren't showing that part of the process or the install. And I was also currious about how to deal with shower doors or glass installed on the foam board. Thank you
Absolutely stunning! Question though...if I were to create smaller pieces, would I be able to use grout with this foam board?
Excellent video l, waiting with much anticipation for part 2
Thank you!
This is so cool I sent this video to my brother in law because he’s redoing his house
Awesome. Tell him to call us if the has any questions 😊
@@RK3Designs will do he lives in Maryland
Beautiful!! 🤩🤩
Absolutely fantastic!!
Thank you kindly!
Amazing ❤
Incredible!
looks killer cool. like black and brown leperd style
Thank you!!
Hey guys….beautiful and looks sharp….😊
Thank you!!
Oooooooo i cant wait. Very interesting subject
Thank you!!
These turned out beautiful ❤❤❤
Thank you!
I’d love to see how the homeowner did the prep work.
How off from the floor do you go with the board. I saw in your video that there was a gap between the tile on the floor and the board. And do you fill that up with anything? Can grout be used?
yes, we could have done that with a piece of granite! Would it of been more difficult? Hell yes!
This looks awesome!! 👍 A sweet young couple! 🤗
They were. 😊

Please share cost breakdown, please?
Is the scabbed joint epoxied before or after the fiber mesh?
I need to learn about inlay support for grab bars
You’d inlay it like you do to hang the doors.
What colors of spray paint were used on the plastic bags?
What do you guys use foam board instead of wood?
Foam boards 100% waterproof
What if you want to go over existing tile???
😮😮😮😮😮Wow, excellent, ma’am. What do you think about me using a board similar to this, but with layers of fiberglass? What do you think? Will the idea work for me? Answer me please.
I’m not exactly sure what product you’re talking about. Does it have a name?
So, what if I wanted to use an adhesive mural an the foam board and use a clear epoxy overlay on top of it. Is that something that you guys think can work???
As long as the mural is completely adhered to the foam with no bubbles before you pour the epoxy.
Can the foam be used on uneven wall in the bathroom? It looks flexible
It will flex a little.
Are they basically insulation panels your using
Yes. Insulation foam board.
Could you paint the foam first to try to make more opaque for those that want a white base design. To offset the ghosting of tape and the purple of the foam board??
Just don’t use spray paint. It will attack the foam like acid
@@bradmiddleton5753 thank you so much!!!
Absolutely and we actually do this on occasion also. Just make sure the paint is 100% dry before pouring the epoxy or it will blister due to trapped moisture. 😊😊
Cab we see a decade old one ? B4 & after ?
What do you do on the seams for water proofing?
The foam boards are already water proof, you prep the wall with green board or use Red Guard. We use 100% silicone for the seams.
@RK3Designs so once you secure the panels that's it?! That's awesome!
@@alexmata296 as long as the walls are framed correctly and the walls are coated with Red Guard or Green Board, yes. 😊
You can buy them walls for less money and work . It's made out of bamboo and all different kinds of looks it's really great stuff you just need to find who sell them .
That’s cool if you want to buy a Chinese product 😜
Whats a rough estimate in cost for this job?
Not counting framing and prepping the walls, about $12-$15 a sq ft. Also depends on what technique/ design you use as different designs require different amounts of epoxy.
@@RK3Designs thank you for replying. Will be seeing you in a workshop this summer. Stay awesome 🤙🏾🍻🙏🏾
Do you think this would hold up in a steam shower?
Absolutely!
Looks like a nice job. However, looks VERY labor intensive? If it's your own house , not paying for your labor , maybe. But has to be costly for the homeowner?
Once you’ve mastered the process it’s really not labor intensive. We’ve installed many many custom showers. It must faster, more cost efficient than tile.
Why not make a template????? I had to turn off video at this point
If you would have watched the rest of the video he explained why we don’t use a template. But you can definitely take the extra time to do so. You’ll still want to dry fit your piece before you pour.
Way too dark I like it better before. When was the light that was great
Please don't refer to granite, if you've never worked with it!
🤣🤣🤣. I have.
good to know ! I'm about 5'8" 150ish pounds at the time, and we could do about anything! now I'm older, had a stroke, and can do about nothing! I want to redo my sister's shower ,where I'm living now, and we're both disabled , but I know i can do it1 I don't know "ICAn'T"!@@RK3Designs
I have a lot of questions, how,or what is the best way of doing just that?
@@johnbowser2612 there are so many videos on both my channel and Stonecoat’s. Also feel free to email me for specific questions. Rhonda@rk3designs.com
How much money did you have invested?
I would never ever use that color on a wall, never!!! Ugliest shower ever!! It's terrible dark...
Well it’s a great thing these were made for you then. The customer picked this finish and absolutely LOVE IT. 😊
